it’s crazy how the smallest things from our tcs can make us happy. whether it be a smile on the corridor, eye contact that lasts way too long to just be a ‘meaningless stare’, their cheeks flushing shades of pink when you answer their question and get it right, a smiley face or small comment on your classwork or a simple hello when you walk into class. we will sit and think back to all of these tiny interactions and small gestures with smiles on our faces thinking ‘there must be something there, they must feel something”. however things can change so quickly because next thing you know we’re sat here pondering over the smallest of things, things that would sound stupid if they ever left your mouth. you smiled at them and they didn’t smile back just a mere glance or a blank stare. your “hello” went unnoticed and there’s still no reply to the email you sent days ago. the smallest of things create this sense of hope but also the smallest of things ruin and taint this hope.
