❄️So- the first quick redesign.
I had three overall ideas:
1. Homage to the culture Genshin is taking from - this design
2. More Genshin (so, fanservice) oriented
3. More ice queen, less cultural but i feel like that's been done to death
So, I went into this with a good ammount of knowledge of my own traditional dress.
Unsurprisingly, the russian one isn't too different. Now, I went full on Russian cultural on her because of her name- 'Tsaritsa' -- which then also set me into russian imperialism period. And despite what people tell you about her og design, no dress worn by a tsaritsa would look anything like that, doesn't matter where their inspirations are from.
So, I singled out Alexandra Feodorvna Romanov. I researched 3 of her surviving gowns (all present at the State Hermitage Museum- St. Petersburg). Firstly, her Ceremonial Court dress (late 19th century-early 20th). Then 2 others, a day dress and the top half of a third for the embroidery around the neckline.
Enjoy, hope I didn't dissapoint♡
