Hi, do you think you could do an x reader for the prime minister in perfect crown 💕
Yes yesss! Omg Ever since I started being interested on the Perfect Crown series I always wondered how it would go if they know each other from High School👀👀
This took a little while than it was supposed to- I'm sorry🥲 I hope it's ok that I refered to the reader as her🙃
Couldn't but, Always been
—In which Min Jeong-woo has been looking at the wrong person the entire time, instead of looking who was truly beside him.
This also takes way back from the Royal Academy, where feelings are nothing but hidden behind responsibilities. But what if those old feelings resurfaced? Too late. A little too late.
English isn't my best language (still) bit hope you like it!!
Choi (Y/N), An academic model of the Royal Academy, Niece of Hyeon-guk for years she strive forward to achieve what she can but with that IQ of hers? Only the best can challenge her.
That's what had been the reason why her Uncle raised her. Her natural intelligence.
Even with the inequality in the Seong Household, Hui-ju and (Y/N) stayed as close. Both losing their mother at a young age, their independence grew and only they have each other at arms. So when they both entered the Royal Academy, and met a person who is just there.
But was that really 'just' to (Y/N)?
I calmly looked across me, a male it was just a small interaction between us, but deep inside I'm still internally confused why his here. I lowered my book and stared at him, the male only smiled that feels like mockery in my perspective.
"Does it bother you that I'm here, Choi (Y/N)?"
That voice and face can fool absolutely anyone but not me- no-
"It does not, your highness, but enlighten me as to why you are across from me instead of the empty seats around us?"
I said, clearly the library was empty at this hour, but why is Prince I-an across me? Is he that lonely? Lol sad for him I guess-
"Please don't mock my presence."
I blinked at his words, startled.
"Hey I am not- you know what never mind, please excuse me."
I sighed and stood up, I took my things as I bowed before the prince and left.
'To others being approached by the Prince is a chance, but not me. It's a great honor, though I'm deeply scared of his fan base, also,'
Looking out towards the school garden, the wind breezeed by briefly and I sighed.
'Prince I-an is just so not my type,'
Footsteps behind me made me turn, and suddenly I'm back being freshmen, my heart beating the same but not with him.
I smiled at him, he stopped in front of me.
"Hello, have you finished your time in the library?"
Min Jeong-woo, to everyone else is just someone who has a great face, but deeply his kind, funny and awkward friend. He helped me the best he can with academics, though his much more of an advice giver and an emotional person to lean on. Ever since Hui-ju and I met him, his done nothing but our biggest supporter.
Maybe because of being close to Jeong-woo, Prince I-an has been at our little corner, Hui-ju doesn't see it but the young prince has always been at the end of our corner, must have also been why Prince I-an has been too comfortable in my space.
"Yes, though Prince I-an was reading there too. I honestly don't know why they even own their private library when his just gonna use the academy library."
I shook my head as Jeong-woo and I walked, I side glance at him, and wow- it never fails me to see that face all over again. His face was nonchalant but deep down I know his happy.
"By the way, have you seen Hui-ju?"
He turned to ask me, I smiled but the grip in my things are unnoticed.
'That's right, for a while, he had been having a deep devotion of love for Hui-ju I'm not stupid, but I sure do act one to avoid this feelings. It doesn't take a while for me to figure out he had been crushing on Hui-ju but I don't blame him.'
I avoided his gaze as I stared towards the front.
'My cousin has the looks, the grades and the intelligence. She was easy going and excelled at anything.'
"No, I'm sorry Jeong-woo, though I did remember that she mentioned she's practicing archery at the academy training grounds."
In my eyes, I'm not Hui-ju, I'm not as talented as she is.
I couldn't be someone more but, always been just the bestfriend.
"Alright, thank you! You sure you're okay going home alone?"
He asked stopping in his tracks, I continued to walk forward waving my hand and without looking back.
"Yep! Make sure that Hui-ju gets home before dinner thought!"
I simply said aloud, I didn't hear his answer only the echoing footsteps that slowly fades. How I hate it.
I stopped, looking down at the ground, I clenched my fist,
'I hate how much I like him.'
And that thought eco again and again.
How much she hate her love for Min Jeong-woo.
Even in the most crucial time, they we're finishing high school when she notice it. She always does. Always been.
But she did not want to seem weak.
It hurt yes, but if she stayed longer how could she ever heal? The opportunity appeared as her grand-father from her father side contacted her, she is to return home to Canada to undertake the family business. So she did, (Y/N) decided to return in Canada.
Her goodbye's we're normal, but her shuttering heart wasn't.
Some people face their greatest love with acceptance.
Though, She couldn't but, she'll always been just the 'friend'.
For a couple years she did not contact anyone, literally everyone except the certain prince who keeps spamming her.
Literally, when are you returning back to korea?
For the last time, I'm not returning how do you keep knowing my number anyways?!
Any way, you should really return, Hui-ju just got into a car accident.
(Y/N) stopped whatever she was doing in her office, her eyes twitch.
WHAT? You're just telling me this NOW?!
You better have that petty head of yours intact, YOU HAVE ONE FAVOR TO FULFIL.
I-an is far from being scared, this is just a whole new level of fear. It was a good thing they were communicating through chat.
So, are you coming back to korea?
So here she was, at a hospital reception, her expression anxious and concerned.
(Y/N) kindly asked the reception for Seong Hui-ju's room, but being physically there at the door room, she was bothered by the guards.
"I'm Choi (Y/N), Seong Hui-ju's cousin so let me through."
She annoyedly demand, her glare directed at the security guard before her. The fact that they we're ignoring her was really bothering her.
I whipped my head around to glare at the new comer, his voice was still similar but mostly mature. Prince I-an stood there with Yoo Su-bin, I marched forward with a frown.
He stared at me, and smiled.
"You're pretty face won't work on me, let that security know I'm checking my cousin!"
I whispered yelled at him, Yoo Su-bin flinched but I-an didn't.
"Let her through, she's Seong Hui-ju's cousin."
With the Prince single command, the security guard made way as I passed through, I shot a glance at I-an with a glare, internally telling him I'm not done integrating him, he only smiled. This jerk never changes at all.
I took a deep breath, and opened the door.
I expected Hui-ju resting,
But in this dram she isn't.
An unfamiliar lady that looks like a secretary stood beside her, and a man's straight seated with his back turned towards me.
I exhaled, all my anxious and concern came flooding back in. I slowly took a step forward as Hui-ju quietly whispered my name.
"Hui-ju.. What..what happened?"
I asked, I halted when the man turned towards me.
My breathing hitched, memories came flashing back in, the safe face, the same guy, the different hang outs, the same smile, but the different heart beat.
The bed creaked, I turn my focus back on Hui-ju who was getting up from bed, I rushed forward to her past Jeong-woo.
"No- no- the nurse said you weren't allowed to stand up, I-"
My panic came to a stop when Hui-ju's arms wrapped around me. She buried her face on my shoulder, not wasting any second I wrapped my own arms around her.
Min Jeong-woo quitely announced, I saw him guiding the secretary towards the door too, but the way Jeong-woo held my gaze made my heart ache, made the same heart froze. Before he stepped outside closing the door.
My attention returned to Hui-ju when I heard her quitely sobbed. I pat her head. I softly smiled when she started crying and lecturing me at the same time.
When Hui-ju settled to rest, I quitely left the hospital room. I nodded towards the secretary, who bowed in respect, I only smiled. My gaze found his again.
Without word Jeong-woo followed me to a secluded area.
We both stared at each other.
"It's actually (Y/N) Williams now. "
If you ask Min Jeong-woo of his love life, he says with a straight face that people like him don't have a chance for love. But for years he hid himself in an unreadable face, his true intentions and yearning all to himself. It did not help how for a long-term he hid his feelings for Seong Hui-ju that not just recently been the Grand Prince's fiancee that he started to show his intentions.
But now, he's questioning his self as what used to be his bestfriend stood infront of him, avoiding his gaze.
He didn't know why he felt the ache, the anger, and how his hands turned into a fist in the mention of her renewed last name.
"Nearly a decade. And I'm planning to introduce my husband in Seong resident."
Her voice was unbelievably calm, but her face was far from peace.
Jeong-woo was a obsessive protective person, but when his bestfriend finally returned but at what news?
He didn't know when he started gripping her shoulder, he's hand was suddenly forced away from her as the Grand Prince appeared before him, a frown on his face.
"I did not expect you to welcome our guest this way, Minister Min."
Prince I-an stood protectively infront of (Y/N) who was easting her shoulder.
"Tell me, your highness, did you know Choi (Y/N) was returning?"
He questioned the prince with a frown, (Y/N) stepped forward but I-an stopped her.
"I asked her to. In place of Hui-ju."
The Prince answered, calm but firm.
"So you have been in contact for so long?! How long have you known she was married?"
Min Jeong-woo was a straight face man, but his anger was surfacing the more he unfolds the connection, the too close for being friends connection between (Y/N) and the Grand Prince. First it was Hui-ju now his bestfriend?
"Min Jeong-woo! You are speaking to the Grand Prince, you sha'll not raise your voice in the presenve of his highness."
(Y/N) firmly stood in the middle, she glared at the Minister.
"No- Your whole family lost contact of you for years, and even I! For years we tried, but you returned and with a news we didn't know?"
The female stood, Prince I-an behind her started to move, but she stopped him. She pointed at Min Jeong-woo.
"You're just someone who I used to be friends with, you have zero control of my life! I'm happily married with a simple family, and you have no rights to speak ill of them in my presence."
She walked past him, beckoning the Prince to follow her. The echoed footsteps felt like deja vu. Except its the other way around.
Min Jeong-woo did not expect that his feelings resurfaced in result of accepting that he did like Seong Hui-ju, but he Loved Choi (Y/N).
He was too focused on the unrealistic instead of the logical.
He aimed for someone he thought would be perfect, he was blind to see the one person closest to him the most.
And he let go of that hand easy.
He Couldn't but, it's always been her.
Errr I honestly don't know how I would make this, I didn't get the chance to ask what specific request you asked but I really hope its an okay for you (ToT)
This took a while hahaha (laugh of responsibilities)
