A decaying Great White shark at an abandoned Wildlife park in Melbourne. This shark had been dead a long time and is (now very poorly) preserved in a tank of formaldehyde.
Discovered when some urban spelunkers went looking through an abandoned aquarium and like. turned a corner. and there. in the glow of flashlights.

Spy Kids was a labor of love: Robert Rodriguez figured how to make movies cheaper than anyone else in Hollywood by using a lot of greenscreen and he used that AND his connections to Tarantino to make movies SPECIFICALLY so that his kids would love that and a lot of big-name stars appeared in the because they were both touched by his love for his kids and because they would need to spend very little time on the set, since Rodriguez perfectly streamlined the production.

This is Kjell Lindgren. He’s a NASA astronaut who just got back from 5 months on the International Space Station. There are two reasons why this picture is hilarious:
His wife is flawless and makes bad space puns to make him do household chores.
I have that shirt. Thousands of people have that shirt. That shirt is available at Target. Which means actual astronaut Kjell Lindgren, with his wardrobe already full of NASA-issued and logo-emblazoned clothes, was at Target, saw a NASA shirt, and was like, “Yes, I am buying this because this is what I want to spend my actual astronaut salary on.”

During the production of The Martian, NASA was consulted a lot, for obvious reasons. The costume designer contacted someone about space suit design, and that person replied, “Normally when we start making changes to the suits, we copy whatever looks cool in movies.”
