In the town where I grew up, there was a large statue in one of the parks, of a famous historical white colonizer. I'm not going to say who specifically, suffice it to say that it was someone who wasn't worth memorializing for their deeds. And as you can imagine, this statue was a frequent target of vandalism, with paint or toilet paper or eggs on multiple occasions. Now, the local council was generally pretty lax when it came to repairing potholes or other public damage in the town, but every time, 24 hours after this particular statue was hit, the same person would always appear in a Hi-Vis vest, hat, mask and sunglasses, carrying a bucket of water, and wash it clean. They would do it as quickly as possible, but always made sure the face and the name carved at the bottom were generously scrubbed. This only encouraged people to do it again, and so it became a vicious cycle.
Within a year, the statue had sustained so much damage that it was unrecognizable and the lettering unreadable, so eventually the council came and took it down. Also apparently, the person in the Hi-Vis vest didn't even work for the council. They were supposedly just some 'good samaritan' who cleaned it, often before the council even discovered it needed cleaning, so they just let them do it and ignored the problem. They didn't bother putting the statue up again.
Much later, we found out that the anonymous 'samaritan' had been deliberately washing the statue with a bucket of saltwater, which had dramatically corroded it, causing irreversible accumulative damage far worse than spray paint ever would have done. It's even theorized that they were also often the one spray-painting it, just so that they had an excuse to come back after a day to wash it.

Mars in the 1st House - Ruby Rose Child
“Baby,” I’ll tell her “remember your mama is a worrier but your papa is a warrior and you are the girl with small hands and big eyes who never stops asking for more.” - Sarah Kay
Mars in the 1st people were born headfirst into battle. The birth itself may have been quite chaotic and violent, and the inner fire was ignited the moment that life started. Mars is at home in the 1st house, and the spirit is constantly constructing, preparing, and enhancing a strong enough physical interface to contain the marvellous fire dance waiting to burn through. The task is conquering many lifetimes in the span of one, learning to walk with bare feet on earth, discovering pieces of herself scattered everywhere, growing in spite of the smoke, fighting for an identity, and glorifying the spirit of God. The individual builds her defences first, sharpening her swords as soon as she recognised that the world was big and she was small. She may give the impression that she is invincible and impossible to touch, but Mars rules blood and injuries, and the scars that formed on the inside are raw and sensitive to everything. This is why the individual can seem so temperamental, defensive, and easy to trigger, and every person is marked as potential enemy. The presence glows a scarlet ambiance, rich in cosmic ether and residually active long after the body vanishes. Her independence is evident from a young age, and her parents were likely challenged by raising such a determined, clever, alert, and decisive nature. Her insatiable impulse, curiosity to explore new territory, and lack of response to discipline can make for a mischievous, innovative, and crafty child who knew how to get her desired response. She likely favoured the fairy tale villains and the antagonistic characters, showing an early preference toward being her own saviour and heroine, forbidden danger, power, and provocation. This child likely required substantial outdoor activity time and freedom to roam, sometimes she forgets that she has wings and finds herself stuck, upside down, or lost too many times to count. This is likely where her great talent for problem solving and detangling from trouble began. For her own safety, the parents may have played the role of the oppressor in her eyes. And in true form to her nature, she will wage war upon any person with the audacity to restrict or control her. This sense of having control remains of pivotal importance, largely sourced from the experiences of being restrained, victim to harsh or experimental discipline, and witness to intense conflict or financial circumstances that depleted mobility and opportunity. It also accompanies the tremendous self-respect held by the individual and dispensed to all, fighting for personal convictions, needs, and character is above all an act of dignity and self-honour. Control and dominance is the energy that comes most easily to Mars in the 1st. It is a form of electricity, and when the individual is undeveloped and disintegrated, it becomes a false measure of identity and something that becomes potent and addictive.
Mars in the 1st people make the masculine conscious in other people, often resulting in confusing and intense social encounters. It’s possible that women seem intimidated, threatening, or hostile toward her without reason, and men can be surprisingly open and honest in her company, revealing their issues, respecting her counsel, and adopting her as a sister. The individual rarely tolerates passive aggressive pettiness or sparing feelings. She would rather expose the fire and clear the smoke in the air, because there is no peace without war. Rage is a sensation that absolutely demands enactment and demonstration. Frustration may reach a threshold where everything in contact begins crawling under her skin - and this is when she is most prone to hurting herself, punching her mirror, or smashing her phone. She is at peak modus operandi in high pressure environments, commanding and managing with striking sovereignty and proficiency. She also works well in surroundings with masculine dominance, tough challenges, whirlwind deadlines, ferocious negotiation, and brutal business technique. Mars in the 1st is justice seeking and raises her weapons on behalf of loved ones, animals, the innocent, and the vulnerable. She may take these issues quite personally and become impassioned about social and political issues, largely seeking justice and redemption for wounds afflicted and worn by her inner child. There is ripe appetite for life that launches her energy in multiple directions, she is enthused and inspired for beginning something new but rarely has the discipline to continue once this initial burst has worn off. It’s possible for the individual to struggle with impulse control, she may not even be aware that her rapid decisiveness and flashes of excitement is the signal of her impulse. These fleeting actions can impair or obstruct her ultimate aim, she may spend more time cleaning up for yesterday’s chaos than making any progress. But she is clever and quick witted, so she tends to learn quickly from her mistakes and reconfigure her strategy when her desired response isn’t being met. However, she may not display such qualities when it involves emotions and relationships. In these circumstances, the individual may demonstrate repeated cycles of behaviour, self-destruction, and regression. This is largely because deep internal self-awareness and adaptive strategies are unacknowledged, missing or undeveloped. It’s possible for the individual to suffer with numerous health problems due to her consuming energy, inability to rest and sleep on schedule, and vulnerability for burn out. There may be trouble with iron or deficiencies in the blood work, daily tension headaches or frequent migraines, new and recurring impairing injuries, gall stones, stomach ulcers, adrenal, or thyroid issues. Animals are beneficial to the individual’s wellbeing, as well with regular physical activity and sunshine, martial arts and intensive, competitive sports, routine sex and physical outlets for her energy.
Mars in the 1st is rarely given to the advice or experience of other people, preferring instead to see, touch, taste, live, and know for herself. And for all of these billowing smoke and flames, there is a quintessential vulnerability and exposure with Mars in the 1st. Behind this marvellous conduction of smoke and flames is only a child the age of Alice painting every flower red with a memory of still having wings more than just vivid imagination.

One of the most important things I learned in my Language and the Law class is that law enforcement will intentionally misinterpret every type of statement asking for a lawyer as not asking for a lawyer. Even directly saying it like this “I will not speak to you without a lawyer” can be taken as a simple statement of fact rather than a request for a lawyer. You literally have to state “I am now invoking my right to a lawyer” and every time they try to proceed with an interrogation you have to answer every question with “I am invoking my right to have a lawyer present”. You can’t just tell them you won’t talk without a lawyer or that you want a lawyer. You have to state that you are invoking your rights. Otherwise they could just say “well they just said they wouldn’t speak without a lawyer present. That’s not invoking their rights to a lawyer. It’s just stating a fact.” even just stating your right to a lawyer doesn’t count!
PLEASE share this addition. I am a lawyer who works in criminal defense, and this is one of the most avoidable things that people consistently get wrong about the Miranda rights.
Here are some more “ambiguous” phrases which courts have found DO NOT invoke your right to a lawyer:
“Maybe I should speak to my lawyer first.”
“I might like a lawyer.”
“I think I should have a lawyer present for this.”
“Could I speak to my lawyer first?”
“How long until my lawyer gets here?”
And perhaps most egregiously – “Get me a lawyer, dawg – ‘cause this is not what’s up.”
Here are the magic phrases which you need to know if you want to invoke your Miranda rights:
1) “Am I free to leave?”
It’s worth asking this even if the answer is obvious. Even if the officer does not let you leave, by forcing them to admit that you are not free to leave, you are creating a record which your attorney can use to prove that you were in custody. Miranda rights only apply if the interrogation is custodial, meaning that police officers will frequently claim that their suspects were “not in custody” to get around their Miranda rights.
2) “I am invoking my right to remain silent.”
Simply staying silent will not invoke your right to remain silent. As absurd as this is, you must explicitly say that you are invoking your right to remain silent in order to invoke that right.
3) “I am invoking my right to an attorney.”
As stated above, you must be not only clear and unambiguous, but clear and legally unambiguous. Don’t get cute. Don’t get sassy. And on the flip side, don’t get intimidated and use verbal ticks to minimize your request. Say the line with those words exactly – say it clearly, and say it once, and then say nothing else.
Because even after you’ve done all this, the police can still try to get you to talk. They’re not supposed to interrogate you, but they’re allowed to make casual conversation, and if that conversation just happens to circle back around to the thing they wanted to question you about, well, that’s really your fault for talking after you said you wouldn’t, isn’t it? Can’t possibly fault the poor officers when you initiated – if you really wanted to have your rights respected, you wouldn’t have talked to them in the first place.
The police know this, and they will mercilessly exploit this loophole. So, once you’ve successfully invoked your Miranda rights, any and all conversation you have with police officers will put those rights back into jeopardy.
Putting it all together:
Ask: “Am I free to leave?”
If they say no, say: “I am invoking my right to remain silent and I am invoking my right to an attorney.”
And then shut up and do not say a single thing to them for any reason whatsoever until you have actually spoken to an attorney. Yes, even if it takes hours. Yes, even if they start talking to you about something else.
Finally, a very important disclaimer:
I may be a lawyer, but I’m not your lawyer, and I cannot guarantee that what I’ve just laid out here will always work for every situation. We didn’t get to this bizarre and absurd place overnight – we built this ridiculous system piecemeal, by deciding on a case-by-case basis that certain phrases were “too ambiguous” or certain types of questioning weren’t actually questioning at all. The law is still in flux, and is still fundamentally out to get you, and willing to bend plain meaning beyond all recognition to do it. Even if you invoke your rights perfectly, exactly as I have specified above, there’s a chance that your invocation of rights will be disqualified on some new technicality that no one’s even thought of yet – and that’s precisely the problem.
Watch this video: “Don’t Talk To The Police”
I am begging my followers to please watch this video from start to finish. I know it’s long, but it is incredibly valuable information that everyone needs to know, especially if you’re involved in any form of activism.
Every single cop lies. Every single cop lies and manipulates and twists the situation around to get a confession. Even when they know that the person is innocent, even when they know that what they have isn’t enough to convict someone, even when they know that that confession has been made under duress or manipulation. All they care about is getting anything to put someone behind bars.
It doesn’t matter how eloquent or innocent or experienced you are. Do not talk to cops.

we all know pokemon was made by an autistic person but consider the idea that it was made for autistic people as well:
1. absolutely nothing in the entire game requires dexterity or quick reaction time. you can beat the game with no problems even if you have the reaction time of a shuckle
2. game mechanics based on categorization, things placed neatly into categories that are easy to memorize
3. there are multiplayer elements but the game itself? completely single player. no social interaction required to enjoy the hell out of this game
4. you are not only encouraged but expected to have empathy for and form an attachment to these virtual creatures that do not actually exist, which is very easy for an autistic person with hyperempathy to do
5. the whole point of the game is collecting things. autistics will understand this one
6. making eye contact with an npc is an act of aggression
