Blinking one eye at a time tiredly

I CANNOT fucking wait to get to the actual later on fic for jjk naruto crossover partly because it's got some crazy shit lmao but also in part because it's got me shipping the fuck out of Chousou/Tobirama and literally everyone outside the family is just *squints hard* because Tobirama has somehow become. Well. Not exactly open and friendly but a lot less of a blank emotionless looking grump that canon Tobi is. He's been living amongst the Itadoris who basically embody "communication is healthy and also we don't understand how to People without open and clear communication" so he's sort of adapted. So like he seems weirdly open and honest compared to when anyone saw him last as like, an angsty teenage shinobi child soldier who hid his feelings at all costs.

And he's *especially* open and honest next to Itadori "shows no emotion unless his siblings are involved" Chousou, who looks like he's only mildly tolerating everything around him at all times. Writing it is an *utter joy* because a conversation between Tobirama and Chousou appears to outside sources as a cold and unfeeling exchange of words. Meanwhile Chousou loves his husband so so so much. He just permanently looks apathetic and tired. Trust me you don't want to see Chousou showing emotions. That is usually Very Bad News.

So like family reunion Hashirama gets to see his little brother again after all these years! And omg he's married!!! Except. Huh. His husband seems... okay..? Well he seems pretty... uh... serious... Hashirama has doubts about the happiness of his brother's marriage. There may be some drama about it, if Mito can't get him to mind his own fucking business fast enough

(Hashirama thinks that maybe Tobirama only married into the Itadoris for safety and shelter, being a rogue shinobi with no clan, and maybe Hashirama feels horribly guilty he was never able to find Tobirama after he was banished. So he maybe sort of totally thinks Tobirama is in a loveless marriage because Hashirama wasn't able to find him and help him in time.)

Meanwhile Chousou is just here for moral support because Tobirama is secretly vibrating with anxiety about seeing his brother again, being a supportive loving husband. It's okay, Tobirama can sense his emotions, so Tobirama knows exactly how much emotion Chousou feels. Which is So Much.

I'm just going insane at the mental image of Tobirama and Chousou actually being *so fucking lovey dovey* in their own quiet way but everyone else just thinks they like. Barely tolerate each other.

Meanwhile there is actual plot to the reunion arc but I don't wanna spoil it yet. Let's just say I'm having fun with combining the lore for both animes. But it's going to stay tucked away until I finish the Itadori Manor arc because if I don't have *all* of it written before posting yall will never see it in full is2g

Manor arc is going great. I was going to update the other day but I got very distracted by adding some stuff in for Tobirama interacting with the other few humans that live there lol. I've GOT to update soon because I need people to scream at about the physiology behind what Kenjaku's possession did to Suguru's body and how he's puppeting his own corpse. I need it so bad

On the Kid Yuu thing just imagine Idia meeting them and like it's a mix of sadness because of how much they remind them of Ortho and like happiness because they remind him of Ortho... it would become instant big brother mode... Yuu is now Idia's little sibling... and it creates an almost funny fight between Ignahyde and Dismonia because Idia is trying to steal Yuu to Ignahyde, and Lilia is trying to steal Yuu to Dismonia. They bicker over vc 24/7 it's hilarious. And Yuu is just sitting there like "heh?" But enjoying the attention of people actually wanting them around.

OMG THIS IS SO CUTE

First of all, I firmly believe that if Yuu were a little child, Idia would approach them much sooner than in canon, precisely out of an older brother instinct. Obviously, he doesn't do this in person (at least at first), but rather through his iPad, either by bumping into a lost Child!Yuu in the grand halls of NRC and failing to find the first-years, or by trying to find Grim on their own. Either way, Idia can't bring himself to ignore this creature, so he ends up reluctantly helping Yuu until another student or responsible adult takes over.

From there, the encounters escalate, with Idia eventually bumping into Yuu at lunch, during certain activities, etc. Yuu probably initially approaches him because they thinks his way of going to class without leaving his room with a "super futuristic floating screen" is SO COOL, but eventually they even ends up going after Idia to get him to explain things like how TWST works, magic in general, or even tutor them without losing his patience (let's be honest, as much as we love the first-year gang, not everyone can handle a little kid).

I feel like at some point, when Idia realizes that Yuu always ends up involved with the Overblots, he ends up having a very serious talk with Crowley about his failings as a teacher, adoptive father, etc. All of this brings back flashbacks for Idia to the original Ortho... you know, so he's NOT going to allow adults to leave a defenseless child in a dangerous situation. Not again.

Idia also desperately tries to teach Yuu the basic rules of Flight or Fight, only in his case it's Flight or Flight. He doesn't want to think about what would happen if this Child, about 35 pounds socking wet, tried to face a magical being on their own AGAIN, without even having any magic of their own. What if their luck runs out and something bad happens? What if neither he nor Ortho is there to help him? Idia swears his hair will turn white from the stress this causes him.

(Can you imagine Idia having a Pearl-like moment with Steven, where she says, "Why won't you let me do this for you, Rose?!" but calls them Ortho? I'm ready to make you cry today.)

This even leads to Idia leaving his room more often! Precisely to keep Yuu company and have a fun time, just him, Yuu, and Ortho. I like to imagine Idia letting Yuu play video games (appropriate for everyone) with him, even going easier on Yuu just to make them happy. Of course, Ortho would have to be the one to get them out of Idia's room so they could have sunlight, food other than chips, and some social interaction besides each other.

Idia is also a MASTER at handling Yuu's tantrums if they has one. Yes, he gets overstimulated easily, but a crying child? Do you have any idea what Ortho was like as a child?

There will be days when the first years don't even know what to do to stop Yuu from being grumpy, and then Idia comes in (Ortho called him for help after Yuu gave him the most furious scowl ever seen). It's not even 10 minutes since he starts talking to them, and badamin badabam, Yuu is back to their normal mood. No one knows how he does it or what kind of sorcery he's working, but it's working.

Ortho is happy to no longer be the youngest! He'll constantly check Yuu's health, analyze a better diet for their development, and is always willing to play with them if Idia is too busy/unable to. He also becomes a partner in crime when they both want to get Idia out of his cave, whether it's through using Yuu's puppy eyes or Ortho dragging him outright. They're a formidable duo.

Speaking of custody battles, yes, they would be legendary. On one side, we have Diasomnia family, trying to bribe Yuu by riding Malleus's dragon form. On the other side, we have Pomefiore, trying to convince Yuu to stay for a while (or forever) for a self-care routine. And of course, Octavinnille, who offers Yuu a tasting menu especially for them.

Meanwhile, Yuu is happily playing video games with Idia in his room, while Ortho tries to divert attention from all of the aforementioned to extend Ignihyde's time with Yuu as much as possible. This will require another meeting with the dorm's lawyer (aka Trein) to decide custody. Again... But you know what? No matter what, Idia is going to fight for this one.

Primero que nada, creo firmemente que en caso de que Yuu fuera un niño pequeño, Idia se le acercaría mucho antes que en el canon, justamente por el instinto de hermano mayor. Obviamente no lo hace en persona (al principio al menos), sino mediante su Ipad, ya sea topándose con un Child!Yuu perdido por los grandes pasillos de NRC y sin encontrar a los de primer año, o tratando de encontrar a Grim por su cuenta, sea como sea, Idia no puede obligarse a ingorar a esta criatura, por lo que termina ayudado a regañadientes a Yuu hasta que otro alumno o adulto responsable se hace cargo.

A partir de ahí, los encuentros van escalando, Idia se termina topando con Yuu en el almuerzo, en ciertas actividades, etc. Probablemente Yuu se le acerca en un principio porque cree que su forma de ir a clase sin dejar su cuarto con una “pantalla flotante súper futurista” es TAN COOL, pero eventualmente incluso termina yendo tras Idia para que le explique cosas de como funciona TWST, la magia en general o incluso le de tutorías sin perder la paciencia (seamos honestos, por mas que amemos al gang de primer año, no todos pueden manejar a un niño pequeño).

Siento que en algún momento, cuando Idia se da cuenta que Yuu siempre termina involucrado con los Overblots, termina yendo a hablar muy seriamente con Crowley por su fallas como profesor, padre adoptivo, etc. Todo esto le trae a Idia flashbacks de cuando Ortho original….tu sabes, por lo que NO va a permitir que unos adultos dejen a un niño indefenso en una situación peligrosa. No de nuevo.

Idia también trata desesperadamente de enseñarle a Yuu las reglas básicas de Flight or Fight, solo que en su caso es FLIGHT OR FLIGHT, no quiere pensar en que pasaría si este niño, de unos 35 kilos MAXIMO, se tratara de enfrentar por su cuenta OTRA VEZ con un ser mágico sin siquiera tener magia ellos mismos ¿Qué pasa si dejan de tener suerte y algo malo pasa? ¿Qué pasa si ni el ni Orto están ahí para ayudarle?. Idia jura que el pelo le va quedar blanco por el estrés que esto le da.

(¿se imaginan Idia teniendo un momento similar a Perla con Steven donde le dice “¿¡Por qué no me dejas hacer esto por ti, Rose!?” pero llamándole Ortho?, hoy estoy lista para hacerlos llorar)

¡esto incluso lleva a que Idia salga de su cuarto mas seguido! Justamente para hacerle compañía a Yuu y que pasen un rato divertido, solo el, Yuu, y Ortho. Me gusta imaginarme a Idia dejando a Yuu jugar videojuegos (aptos para todo publico) con el, incluso siendo mas fácil con Yuu solo para hacerle feliz. Eso si, Ortho tendría que ser quien los saca del cuarto de Idia para poder tener luz solar, comida que no sean papitas, y algo de interacción social además de entre ellos.

Idia también es un MAESTRO en manejar las rabietas de Yuu si llega a tenerlas, si, el se sobre estimula fácilmente ¿pero un niño llorando? ¿tienes idea de cómo era Ortho de niño?

Habrá días en los que los de primer año ni siquiera saben que hacer para que Yuu deje de estar gruñón, y entonces entra Idia (Ortho lo llamo por auxilio después de que Yuu le diera el ceño más fruncido que haya visto), ni siquiera pasan 10 minutos desde que se pone a hablar con ellos, y badamin badabam, Yuu esta de nuevo con su mood normal. Nadie sabe cómo lo hace ni qué tipo de brujería sua, pero está funcionando.

¡Ortho esta feliz de ya no ser el mas pequeño! Y hara constantemente chequeos médicos de Yuu, un analizis de un dieta mejor para su desarrollo, y siempre esta dispuesto a jugar con ellos si Idia esta muy ocupad/no puede. Tambien se vuelve un socio en el crimen cuando ambos quieren sacar a Idia de su cueva, ya sea usando los ojos de cachorro de Yuu o que Ortho directamente lo arrastre, son un duo de temer.

Hablando de las batallas de custodia, si, serian lejendarias. Por un lado, tenemos a la familia de Diasomnia, que trata de sobornar a Yuu con montar la forma dragon de Malleus. Del otro lado, tenemos a Pomefiore, tratando de convencer a Yuu que se queden un rato (o para siempre) por una rutina de autocuidado. Y como no, Octavinnille, que ofrece a Yuu un menú de degustación especialmente para ellos.

Mientras tanto, Yuu esta felizmente jugando videojuegos con Idia en su cuarto, mientras que Ortho trata de desviar la atención de todos los mencionados anteriormente para extender lo mas posible el tiempo de Ignihyde con Yuu. Esto requerirá otra junta con el abogado de los dormitorios (osea, Trein) para decidir la custodia. Otra vez…. ¿Pero sabes que? No importa, Idia va a luchar por esto.

The CUSTODY BATTLES for little Yuu would go crazy

I imagine it’s mostly the vice dorm heads (and Azul) plus the teachers and technically Crowley but no one really thinks he should win

Floyd and or Kalim are probably the ones actually hanging with Yuu while this is happening

But also!!!!!

Imagine if RSA caught wind of little Yuu (probably during VDC or through Che’nya) and threw their hat into the ring

DUDE, ITS THE DISNEY VERSION OF CIVIL WAR

While I'd honestly limit Yuu's custody battle to NRC, since we don't know much about RSA for them to get involved (I like Chenya, but Niege… it makes me cringe, I don't know why), I can see Ambrosius acting as the judge of the case, being the most biased (and the biggest Crowley hater, not counting all of us).

Everyone agrees, even the factions (dorms) that now hate each other's guts, that Crowley MUST NOT WIN. They do everything they can to keep him away from Yuu during their custody battles, not inviting him to debates about which dorm is best for Yuu, sabotaging him, exposing him as a horrible caretaker (and person/director in general), etc. He's eliminated from the competition before it even begins.

Vice dorm leaders like Jamil, Trey, and Lilia are rather passive-aggressive with each other, whether it's making disparaging comments about each other's dorms behind each other's backs, bragging that Yuu spent more time in (insert dorm) that week, etc. Lilia has tried several times to steal Yuu away when he visits other dorms; there's already an entire system in Heartslabyul to avoid Lilia, it almost feels like a war zone.

Azul is more strategic, having tried to negotiate with some of the more desperate/willing dorms to share Yuu, like Ignihyde and Pomefiore, but it got ugly pretty quickly (not only is Idia a "terrible influence" and Vil didn't want Yuu spending time with him, but Idia became more demanding about Yuu's time in Ignihyde). Obviously, Azul had a backup plan in case this happened, having one of the twins go after Yuu while the dorm leaders were away, but he didn't account for the Rook/Ortho factor (Jade almost didn't tell the tale).

There are some who outright kidnap Yuu from the dorms, similar to Lilia, like Malleus or Rook (and to some extent Ace and Deuce, but they see it as a "rescue mission"), turning it into a constant game of tug-of-war. Meanwhile, Yuu remains ignorant of everything and believes it's some kind of hot potato game the whole school plays, having the time of their life.

The teachers are much calmer in the destruction department, but that doesn't make the tension any less noticeable; it's like a courtroom drama or card games, where no one is anyone's ally. Crewel says Trein shouldn't have custody because he's too old, Vargas says Crewel shouldn't have custody because he has too many dogs to take care of a child, Sam says Vargas shouldn't have custody because he's dumber than a rock, and Trein says Sam shouldn't have custody because he's too young.

While all this drama, destruction, bloodshed, and so on is going on, Kalim and Floyd are somewhere in NRC with Yuu, happily watching the strange shapes the clouds are taking (due to Malleus's bad mood) and planning what to do at Scarabia's next big water party.

Meanwhile, one of the NRC rooms can be seen exploding in green lightning in the background. This is going to be a long one.

Aunque sinceramente limitaría la guerra de custodia de Yuu a NRC, ya que no sabemos mucho de RSA como para que se metan (Chenya me agrada, pero Niege…me da cringe no sé porque), aunque sí puedo ver a Ambrosius funcionando como el juez del caso al ser el más parcial (y el mayor hater de Crowley sin contar todos nosotros).

Todos están de acuerdo, incluso las facciones (dormitorios) que ahora se odian a muerte, Crowley NO DEBE GANAR. Hacen todo lo posible para evitar que él se acerque a Yuu durante sus peleas por la custodia, no lo invitan a los debates sobre cual dormitorio es mejor para Yuu, lo sabotean, lo desenmascaran como un horrible cuidador (y persona/director en general), etc. Queda eliminado de la competencia antes de siquiera empezar.

Los vice rectores como Jamil, Trey y Lilia son más bien pasivo agresivos entre sí, ya sea haciendo comentarios despectivos a espaldas del otro respecto al dormitorio del otro, presumiendo que Yuu paso más tiempo en (inserta dormitorio) esa semana, etc. Lilia ha intentado varias, varias veces robarse a Yuu cuando va a visitar otros dormitorios, ya hay un sistema entero en Heartslabyul para evitar a Lilia, casi parece una zona de guerra.

Azul es más estratégico, ha intentado negociar con algunos de los dormitorios más desesperados/dispuestos a compartir a Yuu, como Ignihyde y Pomefiore, pero se puso feo muy rápido (Idia no solo es una “terrible influencia” y Vil no quería que Yuu pasara tiempo con él, sino que Idia se puso más exigente con el tiempo que Yuu pasara en Ignihyde). Obviamente Azul tenía un plan de respaldo en caso de que esto pasara, hacer que uno de los gemelos fuera por Yuu mientras los líderes de dormitorio estuvieran fuera, pero no contó con el factor Rook/Ortho (Jade casi no la cuenta).

Hay algunos que directamente secuestran a Yuu de los dormitorios de forma similar a Lilia, como Malleus o Rook (y hasta cierto punto Ace y Deuce, pero ellos lo ven como una “misión de rescate”), volviéndose un juego de tira y afloja constante. Mientras tanto, Yuu permanece ignorante de todo y cree que es una especie del juego de papa caliente donde juego toda la escuela y se divierte como nunca.

Los profesores son mucho más tranquilos en el ámbito de destrucción, pero no por eso se siente menos la tensión, es como un drama de juicio o cuando juegas cartas, nadie es aliado de nadie. Crewel dice que Trein no debería tener la custodia porque es demasiado viejo, Vargas dice que Crewel no debería tener la custodia porque tiene demasiados perros como para cuidar de un niño, Sam dice que Vargas no debería tener la custodia porque es más tonto que una roca, y Trein dice que Sam no debería tener la custodia porque es demasiado joven.

Mientras todo este drama, destrucción, sangre y demás está pasando, Kalim y Floyd están en alguna parte de NRC con Yuu, felizmente mirando las formas extrañas que toman las nubes (por el mal humor de Malleus) y planeando que hacer en la próxima gran fiesta acuática de Scarabia.

Mientras tanto, se ve en el fondo a uno de los salones de NRC explotar en relámpagos verdes. Esto va para larga.

Guys, hear me out. Dead tired. Roommates. Both in university together, not currently dating but everyone assumest they are. Tim’s still Wayne Industries CEO [and the Drake bussiness, but let's be honest he has someone else running that place]

Tim is REALLY bad at taking care of himself or the house because he’s got CEO stuff and also vigilante stuff so Danny picks up what he can around the house.

He cooks meals.

He makes Tim lunch every day.

One day, Tim forgets his lunch

Danny marches into the Wayne Industries building, fresh out of a lab at Gotham U, holding an embarrassingly cute lunchbox.

He shocks the receptionist when he says, “Hi, I’m looking for Tim Drake? He forgot his lunch at home.”

Tam leans against the door jam to Tim's office. He's on a call, and can't visibly react to her, but he can feel her eyes. Judging. Teasing. Calculating.

He wants to shove his lunch box into a drawer, but the EMEA lead is chatting about the roll out of satellite internet to the region and Tim actually cares about that.

There's a ping from his personal phone. Then another.

Tim risks a look at Tam. She's grinning at him, her phone balanced on her cheek. Oh, she did not.

A third ping.

His phone vibrates from a call. Tim shoves it off his desk, the carpet absorbing the sounds.

The last 10 minutes of the call are agonizing. Tam's still staring at him, ignoring her own work to torture Tim. When they finally finish, Tim slams down his laptop to reduce distractions and looks at her.

"What?"

"A cute boy brought you lunch in a cute space bag and you ate all of it."

"Danny's a good cook."

"He implied you live together."

"We do."

Tam slams her hands on his desk. "Why haven't you told me you have a boyfriend you live with? I thought we were friends, Tim."

"Danny is not my boyfriend, and I have mentioned him. He's my roommate at Gotham U."

"Tim, roommates don't usually make each other lunch and hand delivery it."

"I've good food issues, he's got food issues. This works for both of us." On the floor, his phone vibrates again. "What did you do?"

"Sent a photo of the lunch bag and you eating to Dick."

Okay, could be worse.

"And the photo of Danny from the front desk. He still had his googles from lab around his next. He's perfect for you."

"We're not dating!"

"Yet," Tam calls, already leaving his office. She's texting something. It better not be to Dick.

Tim's phone rings for a third time. He scrambles to pick it up, but it's not Dick calling. It's Danny. He picks it up.

"Hello?"

"Hey! At the store. What do you want for dinner?"

"I'm being teased at work," Tim offers.

"Comfort food it is then. Pizza and beer."

Meal planning is one of those coupley things too, isn't it? And Danny knowing his comfort foods.

Tim looks through his open door, to where Tam is sitting at her desk, frantically texting.

He has a feeling he needs to ask Danny out before someone does it for him.

More Seer!Percy Jackson AU thoughts: Percy Looks Like Rhea Edition

Chapter 18 has officially established that Percy is a carbon copy of Rhea, minus his hair color. So here we go on what that could mean for future interactions.

His encounter with Hades in the Underworld goes quite differently. The older Olympians have not seen their mother in millennia, so imagine his shock when this little version of her wanders into his domain. It throws him off completely, this little version of her that Hades blamed for a theft he obviously didn't commit and sent Furies after. The guilt he feels looking at Percy is astronomical, especially when it comes to light just how fucked up this kid's life has been. Even if Percy doesn't name all the details, he says enough and it has Hades' blood boiling. Because all he sees is his mom, traumatized and in danger. (There's also a second part to why Hades feels guilty and grows attached to him, but I won't spoil it if you haven't read it)

Poseidon has had to maintain his distance until recently, so he hasn't gotten a good look at his son in ages. He's as stunned as Hades when he finally meets his boy again in the throne room on Olympus. And when he finds out just how bad his life has been while Poseidon has been away, and just how bad Gabe has been? Absolutely consumed by guilt, and in shambles because he knows the horrors his mom went through with Kronos, and he remembers how much of a wreck Rhea was for a long time when she was finally free of her husband and could process everything. Gabe won't last long, not with Poseidon's rage (and not with the long line of people who also want this mortal dead).

Zeus is prepared to hate his brother's bastard child. He may have also broken the oath, twice, but he's still going to act like he has the high ground to stand on. Then Percy limps into the throne room to return his bolt and his mind grinds to a halt. Because he's staring directly into the face of his mother who he hasn't seen since she disappeared. His mother, who he loves more than anything, and who risked her existence to spare him the same fate as his siblings. And he tries to hide it, tries to put on the persona of the angry king. But then he raises his voice and Percy who has been having a time flinches and looks terrified, and all Zeus can see is Kronos yelling at his mom. And for a second, he thinks to himself, "wait, am I the monster here?" It doesn't get better when he realizes why his brother is raging so hard post-finding out what happened to his son. Gabe may be left to Poseidon, but if some of the mortal's acquaintances are incinerated and more than a few buildings are destroyed by a storm with lightning bolts of such power that meteorologists cannot explain, well, that's no one else's business.

More Seer Percy Jackson AU Thoughts

based off my fic "past and future running free" on ao3. not everything has come to pass in the story so far, but these are some things I think about.

He jumpscares the older Olympians because with the exception of his hair color, he inherited all his looks from Rhea. Even Kronos was caught off guard the first time he laid eyes on the boy. Imagine Zeus, ready to hate this little brat, trying to keep it together while he looks at this tiny, sad, and traumatized version of his mom.

He's far more comfortable speaking the Trojan dialect of Luwian and an ancient trade language that was used in the region than he is speaking English or even the variation of Ancient Greek the other demigods at camp speak. Though when he does speak Ancient Greek, he's partial to Mycenaean Greek and ones that came before it (which includes the version of Greek the gods tend to use when talking amongst themselves).

Percy is a bit of an urban explorer, partially because he likes that stuff and partially because he's spent a lot of time locked out of the apartment before because Gabe is an ass. So wandering around and exploring was all he had to do. If he had been born in Paris, he would most certainly have been a cataphile and illegally explored the catacombs. However he has wandered into the labyrinth a few times when he was small. There's a weird door not too far from his old apartment building that would take him to the "magic tunnels", as he called them when he was little. No one ever believed him until he casually drops this lore bomb while chatting with his friends at camp who now have another reason to be concerned because at any point in time, this kid who regularly threatens to become an Unsolved Mystery, could just....descend into the Labyrinth and never return???

Career wise, he's always wanted to go to school for ancient history or classics one day. Or maybe art. Or both. Working in a museum is his dream job. However he's convinced himself that 1) he won't live long enough or be stable enough to complete any type of formal education, and 2) that he's not smart or talented enough.

Howl's Moving Castle is his favorite book and movie. His mom used to read the book to him when he was little. And when Sally started getting really bad, he would stutter his way through the chapters and read to her instead because it calmed her down. He still has her childhood copy with her notes and scribbles in the margins (he's also added his own). Howl Pendragon may have also been his first fictional crush.

Some of his relatives became maniae (spirits of madness/spirits of individuals driven to madness before their death) after their passing. Unable to move on, lashing out at everyone and everything. He has memorized the locations of all his deceased New York relatives to avoid encounters with them because they always sense him coming and always hone in on him and follow him. Although that doesn't always help. Sometimes they just ~appear~ without warning. Not all spirits are trapped in a specific location.

He and Cabin 7 had a weird relationship. It was something repeated constantly from seemingly everyone else. It’s weird then, that it’s the only relationship he feels is normal.

They invite him to Cabin events, have a small room in the hospital for him and he’s more than aware that it’s strange. They treat him like he’s one of theirs, and after the fun is over he ends up smelling like one of them too. It’s a soothing thing. It shouldn’t be soothing.

He had bitten his tongue until it bled to keep from being found; by all means he should be far away from anything sunlight and yet here he sits within the cabin of the god he hides from.

They had coaxed him closer like one does a feral cat and he stays with the certainty that he’s welcome if not by Apollo than by his children into their nest. It helps that Rachael is so close. There is no oracle position for him to be locked to.

The ones not on hospital duty lounge beside him In the pile of blankets and pillows he was positive wasn’t there at first. It feels reminiscent of the nests Rachael had showed him in the Oracle Cave.

it’s a red flag pointing to them knowing his identity seeing as the pile doesn’t normally exist only coming out when he visits but it doesn’t feel as world ending as it would be just a few years ago. He’s tired and it’s warm.

The youngers pulled a board game from somewhere to play with before bed.

it’s nice being in a calm environment. It’s nice being one in a group instead of an individual. His father’s cabin was wonderful but it was also empty. It was warm too from Divine presence but lacked the comfort in numbers 7 had.

His tongue over time becomes looser as the night continues. He ends up warning one of them about the rain next week, and another one to pack an extra knife the next quest they get.

They act like he hasn’t said anything unusual despite being the children of a prophecy god.

Half way through a Cards against humanity round, another camper entered the cabin-Lester he thinks- they met before once maybe.

The older newcomer moves through the blankets toward Percy, stopping with his back to the wall and a few feet of separation keeping them apart. A safe distance for strangers, despite how the camp feel like family sometimes they’re still strangers to one another. He looks at Percy as if waiting to be kicked out or hissed at like the feral animal the cabin sometimes treats him as, which is ridiculous because it’s Lester’s home cabin. Percy takes his eyes off the man and relaxes back into the pile. Somehow he had gone from defreezing slowly to a blob of warm mush in human form within a minute. The cabin was much, much warmer than what it was a second ago. It’s nice .

Wind Breaker AU where Sakura is a year older and ends up in Umemiya's same orphanage.

The Noroshi vs UmeGang side tracks because:

1) Umemiya's new younger sibling keeps breaking into their fights for random things, no matter who is fighting. Everyone is confused at this 15-ish middle schooler who pops up everywhere to call them lame, 'totally not checking on Umemiya' and leaves after he sends him home. It's not like they could knock him out and call it a day. One, the younger boy is fast. In speed and learning, the small fries can't catch him more than once and then never again. And two, hurting him is asking death.

2) At some point, Endo got interested in him. He keeps trying to talk with him. Umemiya is not amused. He keeps interrupting everything to chase him away, yelling something about "creeps that want to touch his pure little bro". That doesn't stops Endo. He only doubts when Umemiya and Takiishi are fighting because he doesn't want to ruin his fun.

And 3) Sakura's friendship powers activate early since he spends a lot of time with the children from the orphanage, Kotoha and the UmeGang.

Idk, I just think the idea of Endo staying at Furin to woo Sakura through the school's hallways when he starts the next year is funny.

the ume-saku orphanage AU was already bouncing around inside my head because of that art comic that's been popular here. when Sakura comes in, Ume's hair might still be transitioning from black to white so they can bond over their two-toned hair. they'd grow close bc they'd share their vulnerabilities with each other—Ume is still grieving and can't control his bursts of anger as well as his older self.

lmao i'm just imagining Sugishita in this AU, maybe him and Sakura go to the same middle school with Sakura being his senior. they'd fight over Ume's attention but end up being best friends (and Sakura will always be salty about how Sugi is taller than him despite being younger)

and the whole Noroshi-Furin debacle going sideways just because Sakura's there 😂 Endo's down bad for him no matter what universe they're in

Sakura would pretend he's not checking in on Ume by crashing the fights but they all see through him. Ume would indulge him with anything, and Tsubaki thinks its sweet and wishes he was their brother, and Hiragi would be so stressed out lol. Noroshi would pause in their fighting just to poke and prod at Sakura to see his hilarious reactions (within reason ofc otherwise Ume would destroy them)

Ume would get such a grudge against Endo for becoming interested in Sakura, and then Takiishi would get mad that Ume is paying more attention to Endo than him, and Takiishi would maybe blame Sakura for it, and it will be a whole disaster, but i guess all that drama means Noroshi would have a reason to stay lol

The Realms React To: The Batkids Trying to Babysit De-Aged Danny

(aka “This Child Has More Power Than God and Knows It”)

Bruce: He’s two. How bad could it be?

Alfred: Master Wayne, he levitated the salt shaker and tried to crown himself “Snack King of Gotham.”

Dick: That’s adorable. I love him. He’s mine now.

Barbara: I left the room for three minutes and he hacked my comms with a crayon drawing.

Tim: I blinked and he disappeared. I blinked. There was eye contact.

Jason: He looked me dead in the eyes, called me “Angry Boom Boom Man,” and then turned intangible through a locked fridge.

Steph: I tried to distract him with a stuffed animal and he bit it and said, “This is my child now.”

Cass: He high-fived me, then phased through the floor while giggling. I’m both proud and terrified.

Duke: He used his glowing green eyes to convince a Roomba to follow him like a tiny mechanical minion. It keeps bringing him juice boxes. I don’t own juice boxes.

Damian: He looked me in the face, summoned a ghost snake, and asked, “Do you bite?” I said yes. He gave the snake my sword and said, “Good. Protect me from him.” I’ve never been so betrayed.

Danny (age 2, wearing a towel like a cape, floating): “I am Phantom, ruler of snacks and cartoons. Fear me.”

Jason: I gave him a toy gun. He turned it into an ectoplasmic cannon. I’m not mad, I’m impressed.

Dick: He just phased into the laundry basket and declared it his throne. That’s a bold leadership move.

Tim: We tried to put him down for a nap. He astral projected and started reorganizing our security protocols. While asleep.

Barbara: He reset my firewalls using finger paint.

Steph: He found my glitter stash. Everything he touches sparkles. I’m still sparkling. I haven’t touched him in two hours.

Cass: He threw a Cheerio at Damian and said, “This is your battle token. Win for my honor.” Damian accepted it.

Damian: I have never been so loyal to a warlord. I will kill for him.

Bruce: He’s two.

Danny (holding Alfred’s ancient cane like a scepter): “I’m older than you.”

Alfred (smiling fondly): He’s not wrong, Master Wayne.

Jason: He called me “Uncle Shoot Bang.” I’ve never felt so seen.

Duke: He asked if the sun sleeps. When I said no, he frowned and whispered, “I will fix that.”

Dick: I taught him how to do a somersault. He teleported halfway through it and said, “Shortcut.” My back hurts from laughing.

Tim: He made eye contact and the lights flickered. That’s not normal.

Barbara: I asked if he wanted a bedtime story. He summoned a ghost librarian who told me to use a better tone.

Cass: He hugged me. I felt peace. Then he made the couch float just a little. Just enough to flex.

Danny (cheerfully, riding the Roomba into the living room like a war chariot): “BEHOLD. I RISE.”

Everyone:

Bruce: …So we’re keeping him, right?

Jason: Obviously.

Damian: He’s our tiny war general now.

Alfred: I’ll make extra cookies.

Danny (covered in stickers, glowing faintly): “I’m baby.”
