Hello and welcome to my creative blog. I am a practicing Artist, Designer & Illustrator from Northamptonshire, UK. As of 2007 I graduated from De Montfort University with a 2.1 Honours degree in Design Crafts where I specialised in surface pattern design and print. I have gained and maintained a small clientele as a freelance artist/designer producing logos, graphics and surface pattern design for interior and fashion projects. I describe myself with 3 words as I don’t like to pigeon hole myself into one category! My main passion is to paint and draw! (This is where the artist bit comes into it) I use a lot of mixed media, pens, inks, collage, paints, materials anything I can get my hands on to produce my work. I love to paint, doodle, draw use graphics, texture, colour and stitch creating fresh and exciting designs. I combine traditional artistry with digital technology such as Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator to create surface patterns rich with both geometric and organic motifs.

I've received an #insitu #picture of one of the #lampshades #designed and #made at Saturdays #fabric #printing and #lampshade #making #workshop from one of the ladies who attended. #love it and so pleased she enjoyed it and loves it too!

What an absolute pleasure it was to have 5 #lovely #ladies at the #studio #yesterday for some #fabric #printing and #lampshade #making in #Northampton The #work they #created was so #unique and #experimental It's really #rewarding teaching #skills and seeing them try the #techniques and what can be produced with some #creativity #welldone to you all you should be proud your results...I am proud of you :)
