How to Target Train your Parrot

I believe that target training with your bird is almost as important as teaching them to step up. It's really easy to do and it allows you to guide your parrot to certain spots which is extremely useful if you have a bird that is cage aggressive or likes to bite.

Tomorrow (10/10/16) is Gizmo’s first birthday! I am going to be super busy and won’t be able to post this tomorrow so I’m posting it early. Happy birthday little buddy, can’t wait to spend many many more with you! <3 I made him a special cake with oats, apple sauce, pellets and seeds and he wasn’t even interested in it.. lol Gadget helped himself to it at least.

Gizmo’s new Aviator harness arrived in the mail yesterday. He’s used to wearing a flight suit, which is quite different than a harness. I am working with him to get used to his new harness, especially having a strap slipped over his head. This is after just one day. Yesterday he wouldn’t let the harness get within a foot of him without freaking out.
