Why am I not writing new ficlets in exchange this time?
I can't do this with any reliability right now due to IRL circumstances. Also, times have changed:
When I posted about ICE a few wks ago, 99.96% of my followers did not engage. Yes, I did the math. I felt the urge to leave, like many people have been. Instead, I started privating my fics. I had been warning everyone.
AND: This is NOT about my prior events, all of which have been a joy, full of the best kind of readers. But people who lurk on my blog, silently getting off to fics, and only ever say "more?"
I'm not a factory. This is a community. Every fic takes care and effort, and it's a two-way street.
If you want a writer around, show it when we post about something important to us. Especially something as non-controversial as innocent people murdered in the street by the government. Please?
Rest assured, if you newly start interacting or come back from a long break, I will embrace you with open arms. I won't shame you or hold it against you. Some of my best friends on here are former lurkers 🌷

Given the state of tumblr, I can't guarantee posts will be unprivated forever on tumblr, but it'll be more than long enough to rb on your own blog with tags so you can keep it, and you'll at least be able to reach them on ao3 again.
