From now on when the Department of Impossible Cuteness eats toast, they only want to eat these beautifully dressed toast canvases created by Japanese food artist Eiko Mori.
“Using a toothpick, a spoon, and a miniature piping bag made from parchment paper as her tools, she creates charming patterned motifs on shoku-pan, a Japanese-style milk bread. Her patterned designs include fruit, sushi, and even tennis rackets made from Japanese ingredients such as black sesame and mango paste. The vibrant elements pop against a spread of homemade sour cream.”
Follow Eiko Mori on Instagram for many more servings of mouthwatering toast art.

Groom saves drowning boy during wedding photo shoot
A bride and groom’s big day took an unexpected turn while they were shooting their wedding photos.
Brittany and Clayton Cook were taking wedding photos with photographer Darren Hatt at a park in Ontario, Canada, on Sept. 22 when a small boy fell into a nearby river. Clayton Cook, who was standing to the side as his new wife was photographed for her bridal portraits, saw the child fall and jumped to the rescue.

Hey, you forgot Shoomlah’s updated version of Pocahontas:
Shoomlah said: Finally updated Pocahontas! I don’t think this is what people were expecting as the next entry in the series, but some of the criticisms of my first design have been eating away at me for years now and I needed to get off my ass and address them. So hey! Spunky age-appropriate Pocahontas/Matoaka, sans feathers in the hair/European imagery/other superfluous details. This is closer to accounts and illustrations of Powhatan dress from the period, and I kinda think it’s closer to the Disney design anyway. WIN/WIN. Thanks to everyone who’s educated my ass over the past couple of years, including moniquill, apihtawikosisan, this-is-not-native, and numerous others. You’ve made me a way more thoughtful artist in the process.
Reblogging bc I loveloveloveloveloveloveLOVE the updated Pocahontas. Too many people sexualize her. Major props for taking the time and care to fix this!
