Introduction Post!

We’re the Spiky System (Spiky-System on simply plural if anyone wants to add us). I’m the host, I’ll be the main one posting but other alters will sign off with their name if it’s isn’t me. The body goes by Arsenious but everyone just calls us Arsen/Arson. He/They/She pronouns are preferred but I’ll pretty much accept anything (including all neos and xenos)

Our account is mainly posting about cripple punk stuff, but I’ll also talk about system things, neurodivergency stuff, and stardew valley, and whatever else comes up honestly lol. I have a lot of physical issues with no diagnosis, I use forearm crutches, a cane, as well as braces and tape for my joints. I’m dyslexic af so please ignore spelling mistakes. I have an unfortunately long list of mental illnesses and neurodivergencies so I’ll also post about those. This account is pro recovery, ED and SH blogs will be blocked. 

I’m a nonbinary transmasc polyamorous cupiosexual demiromantic lesbian so I’ll also post a lot of queer related stuff. Other alters have different sexualities and gender obviously so they’ll post about that stuff too if they want I guess. 

I try my best to make my account safe and accessible for as many people as possible. So if you see anything on my account you think needs a content or trigger warning please let me know so I can add it. If you see any images I’ve described that you think should be described differently please let me know so it’s easier for people using screen readers. And of course if you find any language or things that I’ve said offensive or problematic please tell me so I can fix or delete it.

I’m trying to draw a tarantula so I was looking up reference photos and HALF the results were ai “photos” that weren’t real, and didn’t accurately depict a tarantulas anatomy. And they were all labeled as supposedly “real” images!!!

This is one of the many ways ai hurts artists. How are we supposed to draw realistic things if ai is messing with the “reference photos”.

Like YES lots of teenagers are overly hormonal and emotional and drink and smoke and fuck just for the hell of it, without having a genuine disorder.

Ive been an alcoholic with a sex addiction since I was seven, who can hardly go a day without smoking something, who is recovering from SEVERAL addictions, not to mention the fact that I DO have severe trauma.

I hate how it gets to a point when you’re severely mentally ill where people just expect you to stop using it as a reason for things.

Like someone who has minor depression or anxiety can say to a teacher “I’m sorry I couldn’t finish this assignment, I had going through a rough patch” and the teacher will probably be understanding

If I say that to any of my teachers they’re not going to fucking care. I’m always going through a rough patch, and when you’re like that people just expect you to get used to it and somehow manage despite it all.

I’m physically disabled and severely mentally ill. I have honestly faced more ableism from a lot of leftists than from right wingers.

I go to a VERY left wing school, and as a student who needs mobility aids, who had to skip class often because of my flashbacks and trauma, who has so many mental conditions that everyone assumes I’m just doing it all for attention, my classmates hate me. They gossip about me, bully me both in school and online, write graffiti about me, etc.

So many leftists are so focused on not being homophobic that they couldn’t care less if they’re an ableist piece of shit. Meanwhile they’ll go around telling people “this is a safe space!” “I support you!” “Mental health awareness!”
