Onion is Yellow Diamond (Onion Gang)

Onion is Yellow Diamond. For real this time.

Let me explain. Look at this image from the latest episode, Onion Gang:

Remind you of anything? Perhaps if I turn it horizontally…

HOLY FUCK

So, this is undeniably foreshadowing (or a really elaborate red herring). If we’re presuming these four characters are the diamonds, then Squash is PD, Onion is YD, Soup is BD, and Garbanzo is WD. One thing that is kind of strange is the apparent break in logic: Garbanzo has a green mask. But in all reality, this is probably because white on white doesn’t work very easily.

As the episode goes, Steven meets the three other kids (Diamonds), where the ambush him in the woods. They build a car (spaceship) and go out of the woods (Seemingly Homeworld) into the city, passing the Crab Shack.

Undeniably diamonds in the background of them in the car, this is space travel.

They swerve and crash into a park bench connected to some shrubs and a tree. Earth.

Then White Diamond falls…

Nearly dies…

But Pinto, the small pink baby, revives him…

WAIT.

ROSE QUARTZ. HEALING POWERS.

WHITE DIAMOND.

Then Onion (Yellow Diamond) nudges Steven and winks like it was a… joke?

????

Hm.

They pull out this jacket, and all get in (indicating fusion, obviously) – I’m not too sure about this, but here are my thoughts:

They pass the Crab Shack again, now fused

They fool Suitcase Sam and we learn he doesn’t need an eye patch?

We then learn that they have been collecting pictures of residents of Beach City.

And a few things come to mind.

They are now in outer space.

Eyeball?

They are collecting gems (pictures) at Homeworld.

So at this point, Steven doesn’t seem to have a role in this analogy; Rose’s role is being played by Pinto. However, this next segment, he becomes Rose: Onion draws 5 tracks for the bug race, leaving out Pinto.

Soup (Blue Diamond) takes off his hat and each of the kids (Diamonds) take a bug. What do these bugs symbolize?

Well, they race them, and Steven (Rose’s) wins… Then the other kids give him a sledgehammer and want him to kill it – and he can’t. He responds: “Bugs may be weird, but I don’t want to kill one…. I’m going home”

Bugs… are humans? Rose doesn’t want to kill them, and goes home.

Onion (Yellow Diamond) comes to Steven, forces him to go back to the forest (Homeworld), where he learns that the other kids (Diamonds) are leaving for the summer.

And Onion – Yellow Diamond – stays.

So far, we have only seen one diamond in the present. Yellow Diamond on the intercom. All other appearances have been in the past.

These are very convoluted without context, but either this is a very elaborate red herring, or the best hiatus cliffhanger of all time. What do you think? Let’s solve this.

TL;DR: Onion Gang was a huge allegory to the Great Diamond Authority and Rose, and possibly the greatest hiatus cliffhanger ever.

This mentality is dangerous. So you're saying it's a pinnacle of white privilege, it's being a baby to pursue policies and such things that you believe in. In an environment where the progressive campaign of Sanders was unfairly pushed aside. Where there is very clear evidence of election fraud in favor of Clinton. The Bernie babies have been protesting because of this unfairness. So they're being painted as crying. They want their voices heard and what Bernie's campaign was promoting resonated with a lot of people. It was a cause and a future they believed in (of which includes the benefit and pursuit of rights of non-white persons). But now if you don't love Hillary you're suddenly a horrible person? You don't believe in her political promises, you don't agree with her platform, you don't think her policies go far enough, or you don't trust her based on her life long outspoken ideals of anti LGBTQ of anti-POC and her political career that have reflected those ideals, if you try to voice against her then you're a bad person or childish? You push that sort of attitude against someone, against the Bernie supporters, who are in the same Democratic party as you and you wonder why they're not wholeheartedly supporting Hillary Clinton's campaign? You call them babies or blinded by their white privilege or worse and in the same breath ask "why don't they want to vote for my candidate?". You're pushing them away. You're insulting them. You're not even attempting to prove supporting Hillary is worth it. I see a lot of people thinking Bernie supporters are flocking to Trump when, no, Trump may have called out to Bernie supporters, but I've not seen any real Bernie supporters who support Trump. I do see them support third party candidates, mostly Jill Stein. A vote for her may be a vote Hillary loses, but it's not a vote for Trump. It's not a vote against POC, it's not a vote against LGBTQ, it's not a vote against progressive policies. First you push them away then you label them horrible for having a differing opinion than you. When they're probably supporting Bernie because they really believe in a better future, believe in what he was selling, and call them monsters for it? Telling them to fall in line, you have to vote Hillary or you're no better than Trump or his supporters? That mentality is so so dangerous and horrible. Unlike Trump, Sanders promoted a platform that was in favor of POC, LGBTQ, education, infrastructure, health care, etc. To then label them as ignorant savages, as whiny babies... what's next? Hypothetically using Clinton as an example, would in the future someone criticizing a policy say she tries to expand the same sort of stuff that incarcerated so many POC youths in the 90's, and groups speak out against that, using the same sort of labeling being done to Bernie supporters now you'd call people against this hypothetical policy a monster, a baby, white privileged, etc. I just..I don't think I"m explaining this well. But I just know this poisonous rhetoric is not helpful at all. I see so many posts that Bernie supporters are horrible people now because they don't like Hillary. When push comes to shove no one wants someone like Trump to be in more power than he already has. No one rational, anyway. This includes Bernie supporters. But guess what? They don't have to like Hillary either. They don't have to support or agree with her. They want their voices heard, they want the corrupt shit in the Democratic party to stop. I can't believe we're in a world where that labels you a bad person. I mean, my god. What the heck is wrong with you? Find a common ground. Stop pushing them away. I've not seen anything like this on their side. Don't fall down the hole of thinking because someone doesn't agree with you exactly makes them your enemy.
