Originally created as a porn OC by wannabe-edgelord clout-chaser artist IngotIsland, Clover began appearing mysteriously across the internet after a Weird-science-esque electrical storm rolled through her creators area. This was noteworthy, because IngotIsland himself was in prison at the time (his internet girlfriend turned out to be a bank robber) and therefore couldn't possibly be drawing her. Clover, however impossibly, has been set free from her bonds, and now wanders the internet, voraciously enjoying the fruit of freedom. For those of us in the real world, this means she keeps appearing on the pages and in the art styles of artists who swear they never drew her ("ew! who would draw an IngotIsland character? Isn't he in prison for something?"), and for her fellow fictional characters, it means an odd annoying quipster with mysterious powers who keeps winking at a camera they can't perceive.

(note: IngotIsland is not actually a real person. Any resemblance to artists living or dead is coincidental. I just think it's thematically important that she be originally created by a numbers-chasing wannabe.)
