... that explains why vista's power is what it is i suppose
fucking yikes
............
right so the conservative fundamentalist anti-parahuman faction of earth shin is planning to frame a trans woman as a pretext for a purge
sveta i am so fucking sorry for everything
It's been a while since I've read Pact, but there were signals that rusty was queer, right? And not specifically a cis woman?
So I'm just thinking about Rose Sr going down her list of heirs and getting to Rusty and considering all the options before giving them the Big Snip into Blake/Rose. And I don't recall how much if any information we have about Rusty's specific situation, but I'm imagining them growing up being told they were a girl, and I'm thinking about how Rose Sr would react to "losing a legitimate heir" and how much her response is textbook transphobic family bullshit. Literally sever the non-woman parts of her grandchild to die so the lost girl could live and serve grandma's purpose. There's so much there
Rusty never got to live the life they dreamed of, but at least Blake got to become the horror monster ripping people apart for treating him like shit.
And like... Rose Jr? What a nightmarish existence. Knowing that you're the part that your past self wanted to move away from, the part that maybe they were learning to live with and accept parts of while exploring other facets of themelf too. Knowing you're the part that was Useful to the family, so they killed what you were before, what you wanted to be, all so they could salvage the useful parts of you from the wreckage. Knowing that you aren't really *you* but rather the false image of you that Grandma held onto? Knowing that the other half of you that was ripped away has become a bogeyman, a monster hunting in the dark. How could you not think of yourself as the mirror-monster who stalked the psyche of person you were before, fully realized in reality and wearing their life?
What I would give to see Rose Jr again in Pyre as transmasc after sorting all the bullshit put in their head by Grandma's literal demon magic, as a final fuck you to the old woman who ripped her black sheep grandkid to pieces for her plans.
Transmasc Antares/Rose Jr truthers exist, we're out there
im realizing very fast that people do not in fact know that sometimes things in stories suck on purpose and it sucking is the point
"this story is misogynistic!!"
>looks inside
>about the pressures of societal misogyny and how its bad

You know that whatever character did those problematic things isn't like. Real, right?
You are aware that a fictional character is just a rhetorical construct designed to fulfill a narrative/thematic purpose right? That their actions are written by an author who wants to use them to explore complex ideas and moral gray areas within the safe confines of fiction right? That they aren't a real person who has killed real people right?
been listening to the Murderbot diaries recently..i like it a lot
handing out flyers to transmascs about estradiol cream (can be used to keep your pussy wet and healthy but without triggering periods or having any feminizing effects) and transfemmes about Cialis (works even post-orchi)
and then telling both to start prep too
new blog same sexual health advocate. since making this post iāve switched from cialis to topical testosterone cream though.
If youāre transfemme and have POTS Cialis will also help your POTS more than any meds a cardio will prescribe you for it just FYI
Source: severe POTS while being a transfemme top lol
Iām gonna come back here and transcribe some shit in a bit
Sorry the ADHD ADHDād š
So a while back I asked Twitter/bsky āHey transfemmes (or anyone vaguely adjacent) whatās a non-medical thing you wish someone had told you sooner in your transition that you know now?ā And got the following answers:
-For Black transfemmes in particular - Everyoneās care tends to be different, but for mine (between 3c/4a depending) I wash and detangle 1x/w with argan oil shampoo/conditioner and curly detangler brush, sleep in silk bonnet. Knowing roughly what hair type you have will help you find more care, find whatās closest from the following, but you may be between!
-Buy a pumice stone for your feet bc moisturizer alone isnt enough
-Go to an esthetician and ask for your eyebrows ācleaned up a bitā
-āMore companies make different undershades of orange concealers, incl pinkier ones, at all price points. They can be used for all pigmentation, dark eye circles, shadow from hair growth etc. Your horomonal chemistry changing means softer scents smell different w long wear now!ā
-āIf you a newbie, neutral shimmer that matches your lids swiped up to your brows + light mascara brightens up the face w/out requiring a ton of skill/cashā
-āUse Lotion! Using a mild college girl scent will be good for your confidence and will ensconce the impression of "busy girl"ā
-āYou don't need as aggressive shampoo/conditioner/holding product. Trim your ends or your hair won't get longer. Cute hairpins + scrunchies are widely avail at walmart, daiso etc and can help pull together a casual look, and specialty designs can be found via Etsyā
-āConsider buying even one simple hairband for keeping hair/bangs out of face even when hair is in the awkward short-long stage while you do stuff like clean. ā
-If you have curly/coiled hair texture look for larger silk scrunchies as smaller ones tangle in our hair easier!!
-ālook, sad-lil babytrans asciicat, you'll never figure out how people have money to do all the things to be so pretty - don't even sweat it, just buy a bunch of cheap skater skirts and feel free to lose yourself in the joy of wearing them.ā
-āGlasses help a lot to feminize the face. As always, there are exceptions but delicate round glasses help this. Take a lot of pics to find your favorite angles, raise your head and/or try not to slouch in your pics, posing and posture is everythingā
-āone of my biggest self love discoveries: just take the damn selfie. even if you feel gross, just take it - you'll like it in a few weeks. also it's okay to have favorite parts of your body. take pics of it oftenā
-āThat nothing more transformative for my self-image than just doing makeup/changing what kind of clothes I wear. First time I properly got to wear a dress in public, and later when I first did my own makeup, it really hit and stuck that I am a woman. And not a bad-looking one.ā
-āif you not super confident with makeup, but want to start wearing it, it's ok to start small. try glosses. practicing simple eyelining. a dash of mascara. "less is more" is a great rule for makeup in general, and it's ok to take time to find a look that best suits your faceā
-āSnug period undies usually have a wide gusset and extra layers of material, making them a good (and much cheaper) alternative to gaff undies for tuckingā
-āAsk a fashionable friend with a sense of style you admire to go clothes shopping with you, to help you find items that fit your frame. Barring that, keep in mind that high waisted pants and dresses are typically a good place to startā
-āpoise and posture and movement are a huge part of presentation and can be incredibly empowering but also really painfulā
-ā- eye cream. invest in the future
- non-comedogenic lotion (especially after shaving) for less ingrown hairs/happier skin
- eye makeup BEFORE foundation
- halter necklines are very kind to strong shoulder silhouettes
- crossover dresses have more play in fit than many optionsā
-āAccept well meant advice, but never let anyone tell you what is and isn't 'ladylike'. Also, Venus razors with those thick moisturizing blocks are magic when it comes to shaving any part of your body.ā
-āGlasses are huge. Go bold; folks are gonna notice you anyway, it might as well be for something you chose. Get a haircut, even if you're growing your hair out. Hairdressers are wizards, and the shaping can make you look more feminine even if your hair's still shorter.ā
-āI am cis but I come to you from years in the large women's shoes trenches, that you do not suffer as I have: Nordstrom Rack. Watch the calendar for the Large Shoe Event they have like twice a year. Zappos and its outlet 6pm are also pretty good, and Rothy's has extended sizes. Toms and Madewell also go up to size 12. Toms is known for the simple canvas flats but they also have cute,high-quality leather sandals and booties!ā
-āif something gives you gender euphoria, DO IT, and do it a lot! youāll quickly lose the initial rush of euphoria, but it will help you feel centered and whole. for me, nail polish and comfy dresses were super helpful for feeling feminine all the timeā
-ācurly/coily-haired cuties most likely already know but sleeping with a bonnet has been a game changer. as a straight-haired girlie, it keeps my hair from tugging as i toss and turn in my sleep, from getting sweaty, and my scalp doesnt get sore like sleeping in a bun/pony doesā
-āthe big ones for me:
1. you dont have to do makeup most days
2. you dont have to dress hyperfemme
3. washing your hair every day is not good
4. if you're confident enough, people wont question your genderā
-āThis is so basic (and not directly trans related) but no-one ever told me to use body lotion as a kid. I distinctly remember asking friends how to deal with body acne, and I got tips for exfoliating, but I guess they just assumed I knew lotion was a thing alreadyā
-āif a piece of costume jewelry or metal hardware in a piece of clothing doesnāt agree with your skin you can put a layer or two of clear nail polish top coat on the offending objectā
-āif you're removing hair and hate shaving you may consider using an epilator. the idea is to not be lazy and use it often enough that you don't have to shave at allā
I fully forgot I did this and seeing the days between my brb and my transcription took me tf out
Bill Watterson is an insightful dudeā¦
Calvinās dad is a radical anti capitalist.
The Rachel stuff in arc 5 is really something. Taylor realizing that Bitch must feel alone amongst the group. Bitch noticing that Taylor was angry even without seeing her face. Commiserating about how getting physical makes situations worse. Making Kaiser flinch. Listening to Skitter when she doesnāt want to. Skitter asking how the dogs are. Giving Taylor her jacket. Uh. This:
When Bitch reached for my face, I startled.Ā She put one hand on the side of my face, and for just a fraction of a second, I thought something incredibly awkward was about to happen.
Then she wrenched my head to enough of a tilt that it was almost horizontal.
āYou look like someone tried to hang you.ā
itās soooo interesting to get Taylor starting to figure her out.
The state of litigation on anti-drag and anti-trans laws is so weird bc a lot of times the courts will be like "well if we just read the plain text of this law, its fine because it just says you can't take your kids to watch drag queens strip" but the law itself is titled shit like "the FUCK QUEERS Act" and the right sees it and is like cool, time to call in bomb threats to every place i see with a pride flag and the liberal left is like well we must immediately bend over and accommodate the new reality which means cancelling all our gay shit and firing any trannies that work for us
Like its true that the legal situation on paper for queer people in this country is not yet totally fucked, but this pattern of "the right sees everything as a green light for more violence, while the liberals see everything as an excuse to get scared and start firing transsexuals" i what's rly fucking us!
So many of the Trump executive orders are just glorified press releases with no legal force and yet every lib in this country was like well golly gee gosh I guess its all over time to put on my swastika wristband
When somebody throws a punch in Eureka: "oh no."
When somebody draws a knife in Eureka: "oh fuck."
When somebody draws a gun in Eureka: "OH FUCK!!!"
It's like the danger gets increased by an order of magnitude every time. Just like real in real life, a gun is an effective tool of violence. Who'da thunk it.
More from that one post
I think those fancomics where Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes is transgender are cute and fun but I also think it's a deep misunderstanding of Calvin's character to think he would transition into a heterosexual normie who goes to her high school reunion. That girl would have neopronouns and fang implants
Adult Calvin is a tattoo artist named Panthera who is the bassist in a terrible metal band called Captain Napalm and Hobbes helps do faer E injections
I know it's like 2 weeks too late to change it but I'm so mad I didn't realize that the band would obviously be called "Get Rid Of Slimy GirlS". I walk the road of shame

Hi it's me, nightmare DM from the worst pits of ttrpg forums. So I'm running D&D 5E and I banned rolling a d20, because it seemed overpowered. I'm running an original campaign set in my own world, where the elemental firmament oscillates in a way determined by the motion of the outer planets, and my question is this: how do I prevent my fiancƩe from hitting on the other players in real life, purely through in-game methods?
Hi it's me, nightmare player from the above DM's campaign. since the DM has banned classes, just in general, do you have any advice on building a completely overpowered character who breaks the game? My backstory is that I am literally Batman. Not like a guy who's inspired by Batman, but the DC comics character Batman, who's decided to show up in the DM's setting. His fiancƩe is really into it.
Hi it's me. The fiancƩe. Since my useless partner still hasn't realized I'm angling for a threesome, I have some questions: There's a weird continuity issue where the lore of the Ancient Orzoks seems to be unclear on whether it happened a hundred years ago, or ten thousand. This makes it really hard to figure out if my character, who's an orc, should have been born yet. Also, any advice on building an orc when the DM has banned orcs?
Hi it's me. Pathfinder 2nd edition Remastered, personified. I'm currently having a severe mental health crisis because some of you keep suggesting that I fix these people and their horrible, horrible problems, in particular that none of them seem to have any interest in reading a single piece of rules text. The DM's lore has a bizarrely thorough and politically concerning exposition dump about the gnomes' secret influence on all major historical events, and I have to ask: Do you know about any good couples' therapists?
