The last new One Piece bean for this update is Cora-san. I tried to make a heart for him and the shape just wouldn't hold but just as I was gonna give up on the plush, I realized I could just set him on fire. I tried to do just a flame but the shape for that didn't work so I just gave him his little coat and set him on fire. Not quite with the theme but I think it's funny.

Three of him will be available in the shop update later this month.

The plushies in this series were made by editing a pattern from Cholyknight.

There’s a concept I’ve joked about before that I call The Conservative Wet Nightmare.

It’s when right wingers talk in these lurid, horrified tones about things that don’t happen and wouldn’t affect them if they did, and do so in a way that feels almost fetishistic.

They want kids to be shitting in litter boxes. They want homeless people to all be drug-addicted murder machines. They want immigrants to all be rapists.

They want all of these things because it provides a convenient and righteous excuse to commit violence. Indeed, to indulge in sadistic violence, meant to torture as punishment.

Once you see it, you can’t un-see it.

Absolutely this…you can’t effectively mobilize people to become violent against a vulnerable population unless you so thoroughly demonize and dehumanize them through whatever methods you have available… Which is always lies and fear mongering.

They will cling desperately to their lies because when all else is stripped away, those lies are the only thing that they can use to justify the hypocrisy re: their espoused religious views and why they are frothing at the mouth to be violent.
