i love passion 1994 because it starts out so high emotion melodramatic marin mazzie in the nude singing "i don't know how i'll live when you're gone! giorgio!" with all the tenderness and desire that a major third can possibly hold. and we've been seated for about five minutes. and it just keeps going

I really like just scrolling though all my Inaturalist observations (I have a little below 700 rn, mostly of birds and some insects) and seeing all the cool animals I got to see over the last couple of years, remembering how I saw them, with whom, remembering the places, the trips... It's so nice and I'm so grateful for it.

this is such a small detail but when giorgio sings "no one has ever loved me as you have fosca" the v and f consonants being right next to each other is so perfect. it's sublime. they just flow together beautifully... it makes this beautiful delicate phrase just so exquisitely tender and brings out so much warmth in her name... stephen sondheim does it again...!
