Vegan eats in LA - Real Food Daily.

REAL FOOD DAILY is a huge winner of a vegan restaurant in our books. There are a few locations in LA (including at LAX airport). EVERYTHING on the menu is vegan and they are particularly popular for their all day breakfast items like pancakes, tofu scramble, waffles and french toast. 

Pictured above in the Mediterranean Bowl. We honestly have no words for this meal - so damn amazing. The vegan feta is just...amazeballs. The bread is so good too we usually make little sandwiches from all the ingredients in the bowl. Then you have the vegan CRONUT. This is the maple one and it has tempeh bacon on top. SO GOOD. It’s a little on the pricey side. The salad is $16 so that sucks. It’s worth it though for a one time try.

COFFEE + FOOD

Located on Melrose Avenue, Coffee + Food has been a godsend for us two Aussies here in LA. Whether you’re craving a decent flat white, some vegemite on toast or a simple Bundaberg ginger beer - this place has you covered.

We always get the toasted turkish bread with a side of vegemite, quac and tahini. So simple and filling for under $10 including a good coffee to go with it. They also have a lentil patty that’s delicious & occasionally they have pre-made salads that are vegan friendly too.

It’s a super chill place with indoor and outdoor seating. We always bring our dog Salsa! We love that it has two clocks inside - one for Sydney and one for LA.

Bruce Heart has been such an amazing chapter of the Rylee and Elle story. This brand has enabled us, with your help, to save so many animals lives and make compassion fashionable. The Bruce Heart chapter has also helped us establish invaluable manufacturing, fashion industry, entertainment industry and animal welfare relationships which has provided us an incredible foundation to go forth and achieve our wildest dreams. 

But from the beginning it’s been about the two of us, Rylee and Elle, and our journey. Some incredible opportunities have been presented to us that have been impossible to ignore and as a result, we have been forced to transition our focus away from Bruce Heart at this time, and channel our energy into the next exciting incarnation of Rylee and Elle. After all, we wish we could do everything at once but we’re only two girls from Brisbane Australia with two hands each. 

Without revealing too much now, we are thrilled to share with our followers that the next stage of the Rylee and Elle journey will see us opening even more eyes, saving even more animals lives, making an even bigger difference, and allowing us to truly follow our dreams both personally and professionally. We are so excited for what’s coming soon, and we hope you’ll come with us on the next chapter of our story as we keep growing and evolving as businesswomen and animal activists.

Exciting News for Moby!

We are excited to share that one of the worlds best known vegans, Moby will be opening his very own vegan restaurant here in Los Angeles.

We have been daydreaming what deliciousness will be on the new restaurants menu and we look forward to checking this spot out when it opens in July!

Disney World Gets A Gluten-Free And Vegan Bakery

There is a Mickey Mouse God!

Being vegan and going to theme parks, it’s hard to find delicious meals to eat without having to either starve or be an annoying customer who changes the order so its dairy, egg and meat free.

Erin McKenna, the founder of BabyCakes bakery, says she brought her gluten-free and vegan shop to the theme park to help make Disney more about the magic for everyone. "Disney is this place that's a fantasy land," she tells HuffPost over the phone. "It was really exciting to open [Erin McKenna's Bakery] there because it was completing that fantasy for a lot of kids and parents with food allergies." For some, it may feel like magic to walk into an enticing bakery and be able to order anything from the menu.

Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC offers a range of baked goodies: Frosted cupcakes and cakes, donuts, cookies and breads are available at all three of the store locations (the other two are in New York City and Los Angeles).

The best coffee in LA - Alfred Coffee.

So our first official home in LA was on Melrose Place. I know right, wtf Melrose Place? It was THE BEST location and we miss it so much. It definitely beats living smack bang in the middle of dirty old Hollywood right now.

Anyway, the first ever Alfred Coffee & Kitchen is right on Melrose Place opposite Croft Ave. We basically lived here every morning after the gym. We were lucky enough to help our mate Josh, the owner, raise his Instagram following up to 5k when they first got the profile up and running (@alfredcoffee). Now they are killing it! They do amazing collaborations with high profile fashion influencers. Alfred Coffee now have over 35k followers and are very well respected in the coffee and fashion industry here in LA. 

They opened up #AlfredInTheAlley not too long ago and one day we pretended we worked there haha.

They have also opened up a location in Brentwood and soon to be in Studio City too.

The coffee in incredible. Being Australian, we know good coffee. It’s hard to find places here in America where they actually do it right. So if you’re in town, make sure you check these places out. Alfred on Melrose Place have some vegan treats available in their bakery cabinet (the love heart chocolate zucchini muffin brownie thing is too good to resist) and they can make their coffees on soy or almond milk.

Alfred Coffee is a COOL place. Their packaging is fun and rad. Make sure you take a photo with their sleeves and hashtag them on IG #AlfredCoffee
