Mad Maggie Headcanons because FUCK YOU
-Good with kids. She shows them cool knife tricks and tells them all the stories and dirty jokes their parents don’t want to hear.
-There is a venn diagram. The circles are “good with kids” “good influence on kids” and “why the fuck would you let them around your children”. Maggie sits where all three collide.
-She believes fully in learning from experience and never says “because I said so” unless she’s already explained it and people are being fucking stupid. If a kid is given a knife she shows them how to hold it and why and that if they do this or that they’ll cut themselves, so don’t do it. Kid does it anyway and gets hurt? “Well you ain’t gonna do that again, are ya?”
-Doesn’t like hard liquor, prefers beer immensely. Drinks hard liquor after a night out with a merc crew or during warlord business to keep her image up.
-Fuse makes fun of Maggie for being chronically single, she makes fun of him for being a whore
-Bloodhound got really tired of listening to her and Fuse argue once when they were all on a team and said that if Fuse was a whore that meant he got paid for sex, which he did not, so he is in fact a slut by definition. It is the only occasion in which they were both shocked into silence.
-Is she gay, bi, demi, straight? Aro? She doesn’t know, and she doesn’t care. Whatever strikes her fancy, if anything at all.
-There are a select number of things Maggie and Fuse still agree on despite trying to kill each other. 1. Koala brand beer is best, bar none. 2. If a firework didn’t cause everyone some minor or temporary hearing-loss, it was a shitty firework. 3, and most important: Redheads do it better.
-Yeah she has always had a huge thing for redheads. She will readily admit this.
-Decent cook, knows several Maori recipes in particular and makes them by memory.
-She’s put in a cell between matches in canon. While in this cell she yell-sings various songs in Maori just to make the lives of the guards miserable.
-The only person she says thank you to outside of the Games is the guy that delivers her meals. And that’s only because he just happened to live on Salvo as a kid and knew enough Maori to tell her she was a bitch.
-She thinks about the trouble her and Fuse used to get into. She misses it. A lot.
-She still wants to punch his throat out though.
-Her and Fuse have never had feelings for each other, period.
-HOWEVER they were each other’s first kiss. They were 11 and it was just to see what it was like because neither of them could get anyone else to kiss ‘em. They left unimpressed.
-You can’t afford to be a picky eater much on Salvo, but this has never stopped Maggie from hating hard boiled eggs.
-Maggie is uneducated, not unintelligent. Similar to Octane, she’s smart about things she cares about, and what she never cared about was school. Her natural ability as a speaker and tactician was all she needed, alongside her skill with firearms and other forms of combat.
-It’s no secret she can’t read or write very well. The secret is that it actually kind of bothers her.
-Maggie prefers cats over dogs. She also gets overly attached to animals, especially since she has a habit of rescuing them from the streets, so when they pass it really hits her hard.
-Also she will make John Wick look like a saint if you do anything to her fucking animals.
-Her favorite ice cream flavors are butter pecan and rum raisin and she gets mad if you call them “old people flavors”
