chris argent you are such a funny man. “we have a code.” <- my man is the only one following it 💔. he’s holding onto his hunter’s morality with his frankensteinisn stubbornness. good for him.
poly shipping is so much fun. you can take any ship & just throw another guy in there for a new flavor & dynamic. you can just throw another guy in there. just throw another guy in there. throw another guy in there. throw another guy in there. throw another guy in there

BG3 text - Zevlor (8/?)
stupid thing about me is I don’t cut corners but I also have no work ethic. if I do something it WILL be done right. no telling whether I’ll actually fucking do it tho
Ah, the fatal combination of having pride in my work but fuckall executive functioning.

BG3 text - Zevlor (8/?)
Why Zevlor would've been perfect as an Act 3 companion:
1 - He has the perfect opening to recruit him. (After you rescue him in the mind flayer colony.) He wants to prove himself and help but can't go back to his people.
2 - It would've given us a paladin companion for good-aligned playthroughs. (As opposed to Minthara for evil-aligned playthroughs.)
3 - He already has struggles he needs to overcome and thus would fit right in with the rest of the group.
4 - He appears to have a unique character model, unlike some NPCs.
5 - When you free him from the pod and he goes all paladin on those mind flayers and intellect devourers, smiting them down all on his own... It's hot. Zevlor is hot.
Thank you for coming to my presentation. Before I go, everyone please enjoy this picture of Zevlor covered in blood.
I love the different variations of Petopher.
Petopher where chris and peter knew each other as teens. Petopher enemies to lovers. Petopher where chris falls first. Petopher where they just fuck nasty (its nasty) and go back like nothing ever happened. Petopher but its soft and remarkably comforting. Petopher and Chris is the only one who can keep Peter in check. Petopher and they rely on each other to keep the other alive - sane - tempered.
"not all monsters do monstrous things."
can i just say how much i hate this line and how ridiculously manipulative (to the audience) i find it. 'cause, like, the line would be good if there were no context behind it. but unfortunately the context is that the show spent pretty much all of season 4 trying to make peter into a one dimensional, black hat wearing, mustache twirling evil villain up to and including blaming him for the dead pool because a psychic read his mind while he was in a coma and then executed his completely deranged plan that he came up with while trapped in said coma — slowly being driven insane by that, watching his family burn to death, almost burning to death himself, and being abandoned by the rest of his pack — years after the fact with him having absolutely no knowledge about it whatsoever. so for that line to be said to meredith? the person actually responsible for the dead pool? and right after the show has just blamed peter for it? lol. lmao even.
and that the further context and message of that exchange is that twu alpha scott doesn't do monstrous things? when scott completely (and justifiably!) lost it on one of the mercenaries that meredith set upon satomi's pack and was about to kill them? but oh so conveniently the dead pool was stopped before he could? almost like the show bends over backwards so that all of scott's enemies can be defeated without him ever literally getting any blood on his hands? yeah, how very convenient for him that the show gives him moral plot armor. if only other characters could be so lucky.
"i know you wouldn't have done it. you probably would've just figured something out, right? yeah, because you're scott mccall! you're the true alpha!"
oops how that'd get there.
/#yes yes yes yes #this #I hate Peter being blamed for this with a passion #Peter's 'villainy' in season 4 is ridiculous #what even is the writing of this show #the bias for or against certain characters in the writing is insane #peter hale deserved better #and by that I mean he deserved better writing (via iamaslutforjatp)
just to use this as an excuse to go off: that last tag in particular is what pisses me off so much about season 4 and what it did with peter because it would have been so easy for the show to've kept peter as the final boss of the season while still allowing him to actually be a multifaceted, multidimensional, nuanced character.
like, peter being retraumatized by kate still being alive? his family's vault being robbed — and in a way that is very reminiscent of the fire? the mute almost killing him? and telling him that he's going after derek? being burned again even if it's to save his life? the chemist almost killing his daughter? (that he never got the chance to know or raise her in the first place because talia stole his memories?) being blamed for the dead pool when it was not his fault? all of the memories of the fire and the coma being brought up again? (that all of that happened because a psychic invaded his mind?) his resentment toward talia for not listening to him and not doing enough to protect her pack and getting nearly all of them killed? derek almost being killed by kate? the power and entitlement issues that peter already had prior to the fire only being exacerbated and compounded by all of those things building up throughout the course of the season? all of it finally culminating in him trying to orchestrate an attack against scott to kill him? and in a xanatos-esque gambit way that, had it worked, would have resulted in either him becoming the alpha, somebody else in the pack becoming one thus proving they have what it takes, or even scott killing him which would at least prove that scott could be trusted with the safety of the pack?
lmao nah. nope. let's not connect any of those dots at all even if they're all perfectly set up to be connected. instead let's have peter work with kate to show how super duper evil he is which also serves the bonus purpose of invalidating the sentiment that he was ever motivated by a love for his family in s1 and let's also throw in a line about how peter always broke his toys before learning to break everybody else's instead to show that he was just born badTM (so that when scott says that he was always a monster in the finale, the gullible af audience will just mindlessly nod their heads along in agreement) and let's also blame the dead pool on him for good measure, too, 'cause that makes so much sense except for how it doesn't in any way whatsoever and let's finish the whole thing off with the message about how not all monsters do monstrous things that is clearly a jab aimed at peter (and is used to prop up scott) because the writing has all the subtlety of a hand grenade.
like, it's all just so blatantly manipulative and contrived and i can't take it seriouslyyyyyy.
Peter being blamed for freaking thought crimes was absolutely ridiculous
