I made something super delicious over the weekend - salted caramel pretzel bars. Healthy, delicious and easy to make. Definitely will be making more of these!

First game of the season was quite successful. We won the game with 10:2.
Over the weekend I made these super tasty chickpea and peanut butter snacks with chocolate chips. I will be eating these after my morning workouts throughout the week.
Hey guys! I know I haven’t updated you in a while about my adventures trying to fit into the grown-ups circles. Well, a lot has changed since April 2016. (Whoa, a year went by so fast!) You k…
New blog post at growingupshuks!
This is how I spend my weekend. Walking around the city with my puppy and going for a run. Gotta stay active, especially if my work days are mostly desk work!
This is what I eat for breakfast EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. It doesn't look pretty or colorful and it is not meant to. The smallest bowl I have, one of the oldest mugs in my apartment and some old spoon from Soviet Union times - that is what everyday meals are for normal people! Coffee, oatmeal and dried berries. I can't even begin to explain how much I love oatmeal! If I could, I would eat it all-day-err-day! What I want to say is, you don't need to eat extraordinary, beautiful and exotic meals to be healthy. <-- for those who think that healthy meals means cutting your kiwis in star shaped pieces and putting then on the plate in some special order. (But, if that helps you - very good, I applaud your patience!)
That face after 14km run - red, sweaty, tired but happy.
Organic dark chocolate - life saver during those late nights when all you want is somerhing sweet. 92% cacao is not something I would call sweet, but just one square definitely does the trick! This will always be in my kitchen!
Lately I've been having trouble to understand what should my next steps in life should be. So this evening if for clearing my mind from all the junk that's been clouding my judgment and self esteem. Cheers!
Our first run together! My puppy Dora was a bit chaotic at first, but then she actually started to focus. This is the first time I ever run only 3,46km, and it took almost half an hour! :D
Grabbed these after work before heading to theatre last week. Great snack and tasty too! Of course, not the best option but I was not prepared to sit through 3 hour play with an empty stomach!
How I miss summer with those fresh greens!
I used to play basketball for 10 years before I started uni. Yesterday my friends and I got together and 2 hours flew by like crazy. Great way to get your workout in the middle of a busy Saturday. Also, it's nice to change your workout routine once in a while.
Looking for a good read!!
Hey guys! I want to learn more about mindful eating. Do you know of any book to read? The one that’s research based. I’ve seen a few of them but I am not sure if they are any good. I really can’t stand those statements that are put forward as facts without any real argument behind them. Your suggestions would definitely help!
Christmas and New Years kind of set me back a bit. But here I am, still working out, still eating healthy and moving forward. But I have to admit, January is a very busy time for nutritionists! Finding time to work out is getting harder and harder!
