(smoking a cigarette) the average american is afraid of what is new and what is foreign, and especially of what is adult. they are trapped forever in daycares of their own design, reading books and watching shows made for children. And while there are interesting things made for children, by and large, they tend to stick to inoffensive, intensely juvenile things that won't challenge them much. And worst of all, if you suggest to your Average American that they should try to step outside of their narrow box, especially if they're trying to become artists, animators, film makers, novelists, etc, everyone acts as if you've just bombed the daycare. Wow.

I swear this isn't just ressentiment but it is crazy how "mutual aid" (tumblr donation posts) is largely just a popularity contest. If you are not well liked enough for people to share or contribute you just don't get to eat or not get evicted or afford your meds or what have you. Fucked up!

I basically have to kill myself. I am not saying it was intentional but I have been forced into a situation where there are no circumstances where I can leave without rendering my life basically entirely unlivable and much worse than it is now, and it is pretty unbearable currently, except as a dead body. So I absolutely must become that dead body.

Whenever I see a photo of myself that someone else took it always clicks for a moment in my head, "Ohhh, that's why people are always weird and mean to me, because I look like that."

People get made fun of for being scared of aging but it comes from the very real fear of being discarded by society that’s why i always say the goal is not to never become old or disabled the future comes for us all the goal is better social policy
