I am embarrassed of large parts of my music taste but I think really fuckin with the Kooks' "naive" is probably near the top in terms of things I like that are uncool and bad

I love how much of the fast and furious franchise seems to involve people regarding each other out of the corners of their eyes, often while driving side by side really fast

It's funny how my tumblr followers are not necessarily the target audience for my personal interests, but I'm going to try this anyway: Does anybody remember an essay (or op-ed, or something) by Joyce Carol Oates that would have had a title like (if not precisely) "In Defense of Stephen King"? I swear to god I once encountered such a thing, but it is now lost to memory/search history. I've found some transcriptions of her introducing him at public events, and plenty of little scattered supportive soundbites, but now I'm not sure if the specific essay I'm targeting really exists. Let me know if that rings any bells, and meanwhile here is a great picture I just found of JCO from 1987.
most self-described "leftists" don't wanna hear this but honestly? my spoon is too big
