I think when "The Manager" said our protagonists had to "let go" and "you can't save everyone", those lines are meant for John!

John might die at the end of Malevolent and we will be left sobbing (I know I will)

In previous episodes, they said (other characters, I don't remember the number of eps or names):

John is dying in Arthur's body

John is not yellow. He is golden, and nothing gold can stay...

John is learning to be human and confronting mortality and the end of life with a new perspective, one he didn't have as The King. Maybe now he will experience it. Perhaps he won't end in the Darkworld when he does.

wholesome anime to watch 💞

1) Barakamon

summary: handa is an up and coming calligrapher who moves to live in an island and find a new and creative writing style. he befriends the island and inhabitants and queue the endless shenanigans.

comments: VERY FUNNY! and super fluffy! if you’re feeling under the weather and want something to cheer you up then I highly recommend watching this anime. and the artwork is just phenomenal.

2) Gakuen Babysitters

summary: a middle schooler is adopted by the headmaster of his new school. in order for him and younger brother to live rent free at her mansion, he needs to babysit the children of his teachers at his new school.

comments: just like barakamon, this anime is hilarious and fluffy. you will be coo-ing and squealing every five second at these adorable, yet mischievous children. and the heart warming bond between the main lead and his younger brother is just so heartwarming and wholesome.

3) Wotaku ni koi wa muzukashii

summary: narumi starts a new job where she is determined to hide the fact that she is an otaku while also finding a new love.

comments: if you’re tired of high school romance and want something that’s centered around adults where the stories and events are more relatable, then you should definitely watch wotaku! cosplays, otaku jokes and dilemma, rppg and more! very funny and has one of the cutest and catchiest openings ever!

4) Akatsuki no Yona

summary: princess yona lived a privilege and happy life at the castle, however, she is on the run for her life when the king is murdered.

comments: a historical anime which features a badass female lead, tooth rotting sweet romantic scenes, mischievous and chaotic dragons and a cute squirrel. this anime is so good that I just had to read the manga and it’s EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED!

5) Kamisa Hajimemashita/Kiss

summary: nanami, homeless and basically poor, is offered to live at a shrine by a man she helped. unbeknownst to her, she becomes the new the land god of the shrine.

comments: I have NEVER been jealous of a love story than I have been while watching kamisama kiss. the female lead is strong and isn’t there to take anyone’s shit. the show is honestly hilarious with breathtaking artwork and a beautiful soundtrack. 

6) Monthly girls’ nozaki-kun

summary: nozaki is a respected shoujo mangaka. and when sakura confesses her love for him, he mistakenly thought that she wanted his autograph.

comments: miss watching ouran high school host club and their shenanigans? well, nozaki is just like that! funny, entertaining, wholesome and with lovable characters. plus, it will show you the lifestyle of a mangaka and how they come up with plots for their stories.
