I'm Sage,I like the beauty of life,reading,rain,I'm queer and I also write about all sort of things,life,death,love,grief,honestly everything.

Writing is like breathing to me,if nothing gets me,I have my art, and I love it from the deep core of my heart.

I'll not lie,I love my art way more than any of my muses.

For it's what gets me through,everything.

Also, I'm from India. Yup,a desi poet.

"Tell your baby, I'm your baby" tell your sons that your daughters are your children too, raise your children as children because gender roles suck. And in this way, your children will learn to see other people as humans before seeing them for their gender or any other label.

Sometimes, it seems that the only time I can truly breathe without the fear of being seen is the night so, this is a love letter to her:

Kind nights

The day is cruel

The nights are kind

In darkness we see it all

In light the world goes blind

We ignore scars and run for goals undone

Go on, run

The day gives no consolation

He sets you bare and vulnerable

But the night–she takes you in her arms tight

And tell you to sleep–it's night

She gives you the hope to live

She says, "Just close your eyes if you miss me, I'll come to you, alright?"

The world is so full of noise and expectations, it's hard to find a way to yourself.

Please sign this petition to stop the amendment in the definition of transgender people.

The new bill seeks to change the existing definition of trans, taking in control to determine who is and isn't trans. This is a straightforward threat to the trans community of India and the human right to identify however you want.

Connecting to your roots, it's difficult when the say you're never connected enough. No I'm not mixed but somehow my language has never truly felt mine to me. It is too hard on the tongue, even harder to swallow and to top it off–it has never been kind to me. Instead of teaching it with love they tell you that you ought to know it. You are the heir to this legacy. Am I? Heir.. a stupid meaningless word because for once can we all just be humans? I value languages highly because they tell you about history, society and so much more. I'm punjabi but truly I've never felt punjabi enough. The songs seem too noisy to me. I don't like parties and you know the worst? I don't like the rigidity. I see languages and culture like water and they see it as a brick. I wonder if my mother had told me softness and expression is okay, would I be able to write in punjabi? I read somewhere that those who have to leave their mother tongue behind are unfortunate, and maybe I am. My heart hurts when my tongue freezes and I can't open my heart in punjabi. It's a sweet language, one full of love, one which mixes gracefully with urdu. I don't know, I'm still trying to make peace. I'm still trying to become. I'm still trying to learn and unlearn. And decide which parts of my culture, upbringing and faith to believe and which to leave. These conducts, these communities, to me they seem as ropes. Why can't we all be humans and no more? Why can't we all just speak from our hearts? Why can't we all be genuine?

Love is ambiguous

It’s a unique combination of every emotion you possess, pulsing at an ever-changing rhythm

It can synchronize every aspect of your existence

But it can also hurt

It can hollow you out and diminish every aspect of your identity

Love is dangerous

And although my life experiences have screamed at me to proceed with caution

I still love recklessly

I still love with every fiber of my soul

So why not live,

Instead of being drunk on a planned settled haze?

Why not take some time out

To, for a little bit

She chirped happily like a bird who caught a big worm

A wedding was done

Big and grand, extravagant

It wasn't her's or her daughter's or son's

But wedding where I live is a life fulfilled and done

Dark reds that resemble blood

Bright colours that blind your eyes

A palace that stands on earning of somebody's life

It drives me crazy

Indians won't bet on a degree

But for a wedding, they'll gamble it all away

A wedding that can break

A cage that ensnares

I'm not bitter, dear

Just a person who doesn't know

If I'll have one, and if I do woodtouch

Would by mother be beaming still?

Or mourning a son-in-law she didn't have?

Mourning a life so normal I detached?

[I shouldn't be bitter when I see the world happy at a straight person's wedding but it burns my heart, especially when let alone the world, I don't know if my mother will be happy. Indian weddings, as extravagant they are, just as wasteful I'd rather say, yes, I was a kid who loved weddings because I got balloons I could play with and run around for no reason lmao but really why do people spend their lifetime earnings on a one day feast? Why are weddings called "the most important day in a woman's life", I have so many problems with the thinking,I could rant]

Perhaps the world is bigger than our brains and less scarier too.

It's not cruelty I've found, most of it is just humanity.

I think the reason for my loneliness is that for me,I require a strain from all my relationships which often ends up breaking the ties.

Do I crave a depth that isn't at all economical? The world works on formality and superficiality and I just can't seem to take them.

I can't live a life that is only outward,but people around me..they seem to have given in to that sort of life,is that the truth of life? Superficiality? Am I delusional for wanting something more?

This year has been bad..so bad,full of grief and loneliness,I can't wait for it to end.
