Lucifer and I talked recently, and he somehow managed to melt my heart (again)

I asked Lord Lucifer if he wanted a blood offering for a special occasion we have coming up, and he vehemently refused it, much to my confusion.

It took me a few minutes of back and forth, but then it dawned on me, and I finally asked him if it was because I didn't have any lancets. He replied yes, not knowing that I intended to get a lancet to be able to safely draw blood.

So, Lord Lucifer refused to allow me to give him a blood offering because I didn't currently have a safe method of getting it. He didn't want me to hurt myself. It was only after I explained that I had intended to get lancets that he gave me the green light.

I think that pretty much sums up who he is 🩷

If you're not looking for guided meditations to meet Eris/meditate on Her energies, you can skip this entire section and read what I've written past the videos.

Now, a year and four months ago, that was the ONLY Eris meditation on YouTube. Trust me, I checked. However, it seems that there have been MORE UPLOADED (YAYAYAYAYAYA). I haven't tried any of them, but I'll link them here.

That was a lot, huh? Now for the fun stuff!!

Though, I feel the need to express that Eris is the goddess of chaos, strife, discord, and entropy. She isn't to be taken very lightly, and I describe Her personality a certain unserious way because that's just the nature of our relationship with each other.

Her Personality: CUNTY, Wily, Sassy, Humorous, Wise, Mischievous, Teasing. If I had to describe it in emoji form it would be 💅🏻💁🏻‍♀️👯🏻‍♀️🍎♏️🍾🏛👑✨️🎭. She gives quintessential Scorpio energy.

She does possess a duality. Sometimes I get the very unserious "let's laugh and dance" joyful and mischievous, almost youthful Eris. Other times, She really does embody the primoridial force of entropy that She is and shit gets serious very quickly. Like- I'll be calling Her up and She isn't as lively. Her presence is quieter, less obvious. And She doesn't laugh. It's like when you walk up to the fun teacher's desk expecting them to be in friend mode but they look up and you realize they're in teacher mode instead and now it's serious and not fun anymore 😬

I don't say that to fear monger, She's only ever purposely scared me once, and that was when I left a whole bunch of shit on her altar because I was trying to cover it up from my parents. She yelled at me and I deserved it but I explained why I left Her altar messy and She forgave me.

If you're not sick of me yet we can talk about some Dos and Do Nots

DO:

BE CONSISTENT AND SHOW UP FOR HER WEEKLY IF NOT DAILY

Ask Her questions you have about Her. Who better to ask than the goddess Herself?

Cry at Her altar. Offer your pain and sadness and especially your rage to Her.

Give Her offerings

Talk to Her at least twice a month. Thrice a week is better, as much as you can is best. She's not going to get tired to talking to you, like a mortal would. At least, She hasn't tired to talking to me yet 😼

Bake for Her!! She likes it.

Sow harmless chaos in Her name. Be mischievous diva.

Renounce the oppressors. Boycott. Duh.

Meditate with Her!

Work out in devotion to Her (if your bodily conditions allow you to do so 🫶🏾)

Sacrifice your bullies and abusers to Her. I'm being deadass. She came to me in a time of strife when I was dealing with almost daily homophobia at school. I fed her the names of the people who picked on me and they didn't bother me again xoxo

Do the hard things!! Even! When! You're! Tired! That being said, it's okay to rest, please don't teeter on the edge of burnout. However, if you've been bedrotting for hours maybe you should like- do something (I'm calling myself out). She seriously respects and appreciates grit and determination. She is a warrior/war goddess, after all.

DO NOT:

Make promises you can't/won't keep

Ask Her to do the hard stuff for you. Will She do it with you? More than likely yes. For you? More than likely no.

Stress over being accurate in modern worship as it compares to Her worship in antiquity. She wasn't even really worshipped in Ancient Greece, and I assure you She probably doesn't care about tradition. Just do what works and what feels good.

Let Her altar (of you have one for Her) fall into disarray

Stress over being "worthy enough" or "proving yourself"

Act spineless and feeble. It's okay to be tender, sensitive, and to cry. Just don't act helpless and afraid 24/7. She respects assertion, determination, courage, dedication, strength, and kindness.

Neglect to talk to Her for weeks on end (Calling myself out again)

now let's talk about some other stuff. I feel like Eris is slept on in certain areas. She's a war goddess, the embodiment of chaos, strife, discord, and entropy, but she's also great for other things. I'll list them.

(Metaphysical) Transmutation

Shadow work. She's a Dark goddess

(Metaphysical) Invisibility

Easing anxiety

Taking chaotic forces OUT of your life

hey i'm trying to get more into paganism and things like that and my friends did a deity reading and it was basically confirmed that eris was reaching out but i can find like no info on her other than her myths. do you have any good info on her that i could use as like a baby pagan?

⚠️this post is about different sources that I used to research Eris. If you want to know just general information that I know, such as offerings, her personality (in my own personal experience because it could be different for you), and her correspondences, I think I have a post from earlier this year on my blog, as well as this next post I'm about to make for you. Good luck🫶🏾

Of course!! Being new to paganism can be kind of scary, but I assure you, it'll be so alright!!

First of all, I recommend the Principia Discordia for a very fun, unserious read about Discordianism, a parody religion that claims Eris as their patron goddess.

Secondly, you're gonna have a hard time finding YouTube videos about deity work with her, or even comprehensive looks at her mythology besides looking at the actual source texts (The Iliad, Works and Days, and the Theogony). Even then, I somehow managed to get by at first with researching her mythology on Wikipedia and Theoi.com. What you'll realize is she's kind of VERY obscure within occultism.

***The next few paragraphs will only really apply if you are a magic practitioner or looking to get into magic with Eris. That being said, if you're a beginning at magic entirely then it's best you hold off on these in favor of deciding which magical practice/tradition you want to participate in. That comes with it's own set of stuff that's for another day, though. Unless you wanna know right now... ;)

As of November this year there is a new book. The Chaos Apple. It's a look at Discordianism and Chaos Magick for the postmodern witch centering Eris. I will warn you, I haven't read it so I don't know how good it is, but hey, it looks VERY promising.

Now, you'll notice I mentioned a little thing called chaos magick in the previous paragraph. You might wanna look into that as well. A great YouTuber for Chaos Magick is my all time fave: Ivy The Occultist. She's an incredibly informational and rather unbiased (in my opinion) source on Chaos Magick. Of course, it's best to research Chaos Magick from the source. There are a few books (I think) but the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Liber Null and Psychonaut.

I also learned stuff about Her from pinterest (sue me but it wasn't half bad). I made a pinterest board about Her and I'm happy to share it!

Be More Delusional

I feel like lot of practitioners are like- horribly rigid and not creative within their practice. And this is me too, so let's not start pointing fingers here, seriously. Many people focus on just doing spells to get results they see as reasonably able to manifest. Like "Magic can't do that, I can't do a spell for that."

But like- why limit your magic like that? Lets be more delusional. You literally talk to ancient fucking spirits. I think you can craft a super specific spell or ritual for something you deem out of reach. Of course, i'm not saying you're just gonna make a million dollars out of the sky, but you can sure as fuck get someone's head to go bald. Just.... be delulu. delulu is the solulu.

⚠️TW: Venting, Dicussion of weight (with numbers included) and mild body image issues. ⚠️

Ok so basically, I've gained around 8 pounds since last year and I'm kinda unsatisfied with the way my body looks. For reference, I am a skinny guy, like textbook definition twink lol.

I used to be 5'3in & 103-105 lbs, but that was bordering malnourished so my parents started like- forcing me to eat cus I have problems with having an appetite often enough for me to maintain optimal weight. I was also anemic at the time. However I never did it on purpose, it just happened. I don't struggle with eating disorders or anything (which it's completely okay to), I just had and still have an irregular appetite. Even if I was slightly underweight, I was happy with my body. Like- it made me happy.

Anyways, my parents have been monitoring my meals and stuff for over a year now, and I'm now 5'4 and 113 lbs. Not a huge change of course, but enough for me to notice. I'm less happy with my body now, and it's harder for me to love it like I used to. Of course I'm still eating healthy and stuff, I'm just kinda not in love with myself like I used to be. I'm still skinny, but I don't have as much shape anymore, y'know? Idk. Maybe I'm just mad that my ass is flat again 😒

Anywhk- my mom's signing us up for yoga and eventually pilates tho, so I think I'll be okay in a few months time. I just need to hold space for my physical vessel as it grows and develops. I'm only 16, after all. It's completely natural to feel this way. I just wanted to vent.

If anyone else is struggling to love their body, remember that your legs have carried you so far and support your weight so very diligently. Your arms and hands help you interact with the world around you. You face is perfectly shaped to funnel sound to your ears, your stomach converts food into energy for your body, you're a perfection of millions of years of evolution.

Considering that it took 4092 people to make your physical vessel -and that's only going back 12 generations- your body is optimized to provide the most meaningful mortal experience for your soul, courtesy of those who came before you. Witchcraft Lukewarm Takes!

I don't expect to say anything too controversial (hence the lukewarm part), but just like- be warned ig?

★ Touching someone's altar w/o permission is so fucking disrespectful and if one does touch another's altar it's not their job to protect you from their spirits should they be offended.

★It's completely morally justifiable to ⚰️ curse a sexual abuser. Same thing goes with those who abuse children and animals. If you kick a docile animal you will be fed to the Wolves 🤗

★There's no such thing as "beginner", "intermediate", or "advanced" deities. The gods come to whosoever they please at whatever stage of their craft they're in. Classifying deities in a tier from most difficult to least difficult is a really limiting mortal way to describe immortal beings. They (the gods) are as amicable as they choose to be, and that varies from person to person, especially if they're the one coming to the practitioner first. I know someone was saying that Eris was sadistic and almost downright malicious and shouldn't be worked with by beginners, meanwhile I've known Her for longer than I've been a witch.

★Generational witches aren't any more powerful than non-generational witches. Witch blood is in everyone, and coming from a lineage of practitioners doesn't make you special. It just means that you already have connections that others may not. What makes the witch is the time and effort and rigor put into a practice, not the heritage of a practice.

★It's completely okay to hex and curse inside of your home, just make sure you have protections put in place and maybe employ a spirit to make sure that any lingering or residual energy from your baneful workings is purified or dispersed before it becomes a problem.

★If you don't respect and preserve nature, you're not a witch and you need to gtfo. Witchcraft, no matter the witchcraft practice, is nature based first and foremost. Becoming a witch also means becoming a keeper of the Earth. If you're actively and maliciously destroying it you're a problem and you will NEVERR be that bitch.

★Worshipping a love god but hating queer people? Fuck off. You're horrid. You need to work more closely with that love god because you're missing an important message. Like seriously, if I see one more TERF idolizing Aphrodite's energy I'm going to be pissed tf off cus tell me you don't know Her mythology without telling me you don't know Her mythology. Aphrodite Ourania is THE patron goddess of homosexual love. Aphrodite joined with Hermes to create Hermaphroditus, a god who's literally and canonically INTERSEX. Don't piss me the fuck off.

Someone told me to "find God" (aur naur)

I was walking in the hallway at school alone cus I was going to an admin office, and these fugly underclassmen were sitting on the floor outside their classroom like losers. Anyways, one of the boys (it's always teenage boys 😒) looks at me and goes "What are you supposed to be?"

Mind you, it was the day we got to dress up for Halloween so I just put on my red leather jacket and some Maleficent horns I got from Disney a few years ago. You can see where this is going.

I told him I didn't know cus I didn't have anything specific in mind when I dressed up, then he replied "You look like the Devil." I said "Yeah sure", not really stopping to talk to him cus I had places to be, and the little heifer was like: "That's not ok my boy, find God my boy."

I was slightly shooketh. Cus. What? But I just kept walking and giggled cus what else do you do in that situation? Lol. Anyways, he then yelled down the hallway that his friend said I looked like Lil Nas X, which, being a black gay guy pmo 🙄

Talking that that to an upperclassman who's not only above in you terms of seniority but ALSO in terms of tax bracket is crazyyyy but I disgress–
