Is it so unbelievable that they would simply like me? ( tanya & irina ) @playernctpuck
there was no way. tanya froze halfway through speaking to look at her, to truly look at her. her sister. in the flesh. her mouth opened and closed, absolute disbelief crossing her eyes. "irina," she breathed out, her hand coming up to touch her shoulder. yes. not a figment of her imagination, but actually here. "how... what..." she had no words, her eyes would've filled with tears if they could. instead, she let out a breathless noise, head shaking. "no, no, it's -- everyone would like you. everyone would love you. oh, irina."

We're not going to have trouble, are we? ( alec & tanya ) - @misteriios
a freezing chill went down tanya's back. a single sentence from that voice she'd fought to forget. she refused to turn around, refused to face him. she had nothing to say to one of the guards that had been haunting her waking nightmares for what seemed like forever now. she stayed still, every muscle in her body tense as her fight or flight kicked in while there was nothing she wanted to do more than rip out his jugular. but she didn't like her chances against what she knew of his abilities. what she'd seen firsthand once, twice... she wasn't fast enough, especially not now. "none at all."

I love a nice secret hideaway, don't you? (tanya and esme) - @vcndetta
esme cullen. here, in what tanya would claim as her own little secret hideaway, or so she felt it was when removed from society, in washington d.c. -- but it seemed increasingly familiar faces kept popping up here and there. esme was always kind to her. she smiled without even meaning to. "isolation can be nice every once in a century," she said, dry chuckle leaving her. "it's good to see you again, esme."

This is what I get for trying to strike up conversation. ( tanya & edward ) - @grcycosmcs
it should have, by all means, been a net positive to see a friendly familiar face around. but tanya had grown used to the idea of her self-imposed isolation. plus, her last memories of the cullens weren't exactly anything she ever wanted to revisit. so, she couldn't quite look edward in the eye, dismayed by her own snapping. "i -- i'm sorry, edward, i am. i just didn't expect to see anyone from..." from where? from home? she wasn't sure that was quite the right term. "from before here."

If there's hope to me there's hope for everyone. (Gigi to Tanya) - @pagesofmanylives
tanya took a long sip of her drink, tossing it back with a hum as it settled into her bones and warmed her from the inside out before she responded. human drinks didn't do much of anything to her, but the taste was still lovely somehow. so she indulged even if her body could never quite process it. "is saying what people need to hear your trick to getting so many customers to your lounge?" asked tanya.

Why not have a little fun? (Mary & Tanya) - @withinthem
the thing was, tanya was widely known for having a little too much fun, especially in the years before her sister's passing. she'd stopped any semblance of enjoyment in debauchery since then, staying hidden as she could. but the proposal of a fun time from another vampire was intriguing. "i suppose some fun couldn't hurt," she allowed. "what'd you have in mind?"
@sanctimoniouz
ellie could remember every second of what had happened to her. she had been doodling what she had seen within her head during those times, that presence that had taken over her. a demon. a thing that had possessed her. it wasn't a nice drawing by any means. it was pretty horrific. she looked up when she noticed somebody who might have seen. “hey. i uh… i have a bit of a morbid creativity.” ellie mused with a nervous smile as she shut her sketchbook.
"there's beauty in the macabre." said tanya, arms politely crossed behind her back as she examined the drawing, glancing up at her with a glint in her eye. "a lot of it, actually." she said, exhaling. she'd always admired those with gifts -- it seemed the woman before her had quite a way with pen and paper. she gave her a smile, earnest warmth from the vampire. she knew an ability to translate the grotesque into art didn't come from nowhere. "do you draw a lot of scary things?"
@sanctimoniouz
“you have a truly beautiful voice.” evie complimented with a warm smile. “that's an incredible talent!” she herself loved to sing, that much was clear to all that knew her. “do you make music? as in… put it out there for other people to hear or do you… keep that to yourself?” she questioned, curious if the other was spreading that talent or keeping it to herself.
well, wasn't that ironic? were she not in washington rather than back in a world where she was openly miley, openly hannah, miley would've basked in the praise. here, she stiffened. she didn't have the support system she did back home. so, the secret was stuffed right in her gut. she shook her head, waving her hand dismissively. "what? me? no, never... instruments are allergic to me, i think." she joked, grinning. she tilted her head to the side as she glanced over the girl's hair, though. "speaking of beauty, though, your hair's the most gorgeous shade of blue i didn't even know existed. suits you like crazy."
@sanctimoniouz — continued from here for tracking!
“ Well , that’s good . I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to go all by myself . “ Mark’s eyes settled on the young man as soon as he replied to him . He could tell that he wasn’t like everyone else . That much was clear , as soon as he looked at him , but that was fine . He wasn’t like everyone else , either , and never had been , as he knew . “ What ? You’re the mystery solving type ? “ Mark questioned .
"nah, i got you, man," he said, giving him a short nod and sliding his hands into his pockets. been here this long and still hadn't really found a coffee he could overly tolerate. cops didn't know much of anything in billy's perspective, but they did know their coffee. "been trying to find a good coffee spot here for years." a mystery solver? billy loomis? absolutely not, but the irony of the thought didn't get lost on him. he was no gale weathers or investigative randy meeks. he grinned, shaking his head. "not really, i leave that to the professionals but i do like to hear about 'em."
morgan was much like her dad in the way she favoured tech. she had all sorts of electronic devices and thus all forms of chargers. “you asked the right person!” she teased with a nod of her head. “i actually have all sorts of chargers so… can i see what you need?” she questioned, nodding towards the phone. “kinda hard to tell when you're waving it about.” morgan pointed out with a shrug. she grabbed her backpack and pulled out her bag of chargers. “i'm not going to say no to a free pastry, thank you. appreciate that!” she mused with a grin.
blair was, frankly, severely underestimating what she might find in a coffee shop. someone with a spare charger, maybe, not a whole kit bag of them. she gaped at her openly, mouth opening a little bit and shutting. the girl was overprepared for... what, exactly? blair frankly admired that. she was impressed. the girl had a point, so she stopped waving the phone around. "a usb-c to... honestly, i don't know. here, you probably know better." she said, offering the stranger the phone to gauge the charger it needed. "i'm not super tech-savvy..." she trailed off, her head tilting to the side, curiosity alight. "of course, just tell me what you're in the mood for and i'll get it for you." she said, then after a pause, continued. "lucky me, but, uh, what do you carry all those chargers around for?"
(¸.• ♛ → "i really like it." she commented looking herself in the mirror, it's been a while since she actually goes shopping but she feels like she deserve to do this so why not. she turned around to look at the person that was with her. "what do you think? cute, right?"
@sanctimoniouz (miley)
that dress looked like it was made for her. miley spluttered while she sipped her chai latte, eyes wide. "alex, you need to get that." she said, and then instantly reached for her own bag. "matter of fact, no you don't, i'm getting it for you. don't even try and argue with me, i still owe you a birthday gift and that dress fits you like a glove, girl."

"god , these actors are so fucking awful . almost makes me wanna toy with them during filming , y'know ? make them shit themselves , keep 'em on edge until they get their shit together . literal y figuradamente ." a hand goes to wipe at his face in exhaustion , looking up at the ceiling before taking a sip of his bourbon . he lifts it toward the other person with a sly grin . "you agree , right ?" before the other can answer , valentino chuckles darkly . "of course you do , you know i'm right ."
oh, thank fuck someone else said it first. sharpay was absolutely baffled at the spectacle before her. the acting was horrifically bad. "i mean, i wasn't gonna say anything but i want to sew my eyeballs shut it was so bad, oh my god." the blonde sounded in awe -- in awe that these shitheads could get cast in anything and she was somehow still scrambling to get her foot in the door. "talk about flatness. there's no chemistry there, i don't see it, i don't buy it, it's horse shit and you have your work cut out for you to have them acting right." then, she pointed at the bourbon. "where'd you get that? i need me some after bearing witness to that."
He could see her uneasiness and fully understood why. "If it makes you feel safer, both of my parents are vamps. I have some vamp abilities if you want proof." Connor offers with arms open. He had a heartbeat and he'd understand any vampire not believing him. Hell, his own father was struggling to believe him so why wouldn't a stranger. "Do you know if there would be any side effects if one type of vamp would try to turn a different type of vamp?"
a child of... two vampires somehow. not half vampire half human. was that what he was? the proximity to her own family's history in regards to those, the irina of it all, had tanya's stomach sinking. but she wasn't in a snowy field anymore, and the volutri weren't here. her eyes shut, and she processed it. "i did not know two vampires could have children, i suppose... my kind can't." she admitted, frowning. she guessed it explained the heartbeat with the smell that was distinct from any she'd come across. "depends on what you mean. what types are we talking about?"
Gwen smiles politely and nods softly. "You do have a good point there. I know I need to go easier on myself. It's just hard not to go on thought tangents now that I have my real memories back." She explains before looking back up to him at his next question. She gives a bit of an awkward chuckle as if she is almost embarrassed about it. "It's not a bad job, and the pay is something I'd never complain about, but... I'm a scientist, and that's what I absolutely love doing. But for some reason, without my memories, I ended up in ... modeling."
"your real memories, huh? what's that been like?" being here for as long as he had, billy was no stranger to hearing about the people who went without their memories for a while. it was always an interesting social experiment to see just how removed their choices felt from their original life now. he figured if he didn't have his memories, he'd make the exact same fuck-ups from before. "oh, shit. a scientist and a model? i mean, who's to say you can't do some modeling on the side while you look for a job as a scientist, right? what kinda science you do?"

callie still can't believe her professor . . . a 'd' on her last case study assignment ? she'd spent almost all night on it ! she knew the answers like the back of her hand , and it was related to juvy and the prison system . how on earth could he have given her a fucking 'd' ?! she'd gone to the local cafe and just sat at the long leather couch , soon resting her head against the backrest as she wracked her brain to try and figure out which questions she'd answered incorrectly . it's only when she feels someone sit beside her that she looks up . "oh , um , i-i'm so sorry ," she apologizes , hastily grabbing her bag . "if you need this spot , i can totally . . . just get out of your way ."
never one for understanding basic socialization conventions, just plopping down next to a stranger was misty's way of striking up conversation with people that seemed to be around her age. she gave the girl a shake of her head, and lifted a bag with two croissants in it. "no, no, you're good, you're good. they just gave me an extra one since they're wrapping up for the day," she said, nodding to the register. "you want it?"
gwen open!!
this wasn't where gwen was meant to end up. she was seeking out miles, preparing to help him against miguel and everything and instead? she ended up here. without her watch, without any of her friends. gwen wanted to find answers but with no way of getting out? of no way of finding them? she had to settle. “hey, i'm looking for band members." gwen explained, holding out a flyer. “i'm a drummer so y'know, need all the other members to make it a decent band!” she smiled. “fancy it? or… if not…” she shrugged, clearing her throat. “don't suppose you know where we are?”
a band. iris couldn't really believe it. she couldn't wrap her head around the thought that anyone would come up to her and think that she had any of the style or prowess that could ever be in a band, honestly -- but she was flattered, immensely so. she shot the girl a shy smile, clutching the flyer between her fingers. "i don't play any instruments," she admitted, sheepish. "but i'd love to check out your band when you do have one, i've always wanted to see a live concert.. or rehearsals. anything at all." then, her brows knitted together, glancing at the street sign. "we're in louisiana avenue, aren't we?"
