DOC THIEF

I hate to have to put someone on blast but I have to ask if you see this individual on Discord, that you don't allow them to use this stolen copy of my doc. Here are the screenshots:

This is where I found them redistributing and had that post deleted but if you see this copy of Murcott anywhere else, please don't allow this person to use it. They posted it for others to make copies off of their stolen copy. Murcott is my most stolen doc, if you have purchased it or any of my docs, please, please remember to follow to steps to make it so someone can't copy yours.

To prevent people from making copies of your docs - select the blue SHARE button in the top right corner of your doc - hit the settings gear on the right corner of the pop-up - UNCHECK the box that says "Viewers and commenters can see the option to download, print, and copy"

Please like and reblog so that people are aware that stolen docs are going around and people are purposely posting them. I don't want to share their full Discord id but I have made a copy of their ID number and I have their email address which looks like it is this individual's full name. I'm currently not employed for personal reasons and this is my only source of income at this time. These actions harm me greatly and all I ask for is respect. Please be aware that doc creators aren't some giant corporation, we are just people. Please be kind.

PLEASE DO YOUR PART BY ALWAYS TURNING OFF COPIES! And if you see someone using a stolen doc, please tell me. I'm very thankful one of my followers made me aware of this individual. Thank you so much to them!

hey guys ! adding on to bianca's post to include some more individuals. as a free document creator who has taken a bit of a hiatus on doc making but is still pretty active in the rpc, it's very disheartening to see my documents taken and my credit removed.

while I don't depend on this as my livelihood, it's a big passion of mine and it was very disheartening to see people taking documents I work hard to keep free for fellow passionate writers like myself !

i try to be as understanding as possible ! all I require is that you include credit, which I conveyed to the individuals here, as seen in the screenshots and the dms they themselves screenshotted. however, not only did were they rude but they then berated me, insulted me, and were overall extremely rude.

it is actions like these that limits the amount of free resources for roleplayers and writers out in the creator atmosphere, and I am saddened to say that moving forward I will be more cognizant of how my documents are being circulated and will be putting most of my content behind a shop front.

if you see any of the below individuals in your servers or in your resources, please be aware of them ! they ousted themselves as both minors and document stealers ! stay safe, guys.

Just because their content is free, doesn't mean it doesn't have value and doesn't deserve to be respected.

Do I need to say it again? Free creators do everything that paid creators do without any of the incentive. They put the same amount of time, the same amount of effort, and are just as talented and when they directly post the link to their doc, they don't know how many of you like their content, use their content, where it goes. So often I hear free creators talk to me about giving up or not putting out resources anymore because they think they aren't good enough or that their work isn't worth it because people are just going to remove their credit, use them as server templates without permission, treat them like what they do has no value. Free docs are stolen and illegitimately distributed far more often than paid docs. Credits are removed from free docs more than paid docs. It's disgusting. Plain and simple. Free doc creators shouldn't be treated any differently, if anything, they deserve MORE praise, MORE respect. If you're a free creator and you're sick of not being able to hold people accountable when your docs are mistreated, I'd be happy to show you how to set up a shop. Even if the docs remain free in the shop, you'll be able to know how many people use and love what you do and you'll have their email address if they choose to use your work in a way that is harmful. A doc being free doesn't mean that you don't have to care about who made them, credit them. A free doc doesn't mean it belongs to you. If you did not 100% make a doc from scratch, by yourself, that doc does not belong to you! Paid, free, doesn't matter. It means that someone, out of the kindness of their heart, shared their art and hard work with you for free and you should be kind to those people. Like and reblog free content. Forward people to the Tumblr posts of these creators, do not share the links to these docs in any other way.

Second part of the whole “Caduceus stays at the Grove and gets another visitor” thing

a little more on the clays: of his siblings, clarabelle is the only one who openly showed caduceus affection without a veneer of begrudgingness or sarcasm

he didn’t have to win her affection by having been the one to save them. i think-whether it’s actually true or not- that caduceus thinks she would have been the only one happy to see him right from the get-go. and that’s scary. because i don’t think he was wrong to feel that way.

caduceus got a lot of messages, spoken or unspoken, from his family about what he should do and who he should be. he’s absolutely absorbed the same sort of signals from the nein– caleb and nott and beau, when they met, needed him to save them, and the nein as a whole needed him to be someone solid they could lean on after the death of a friend. someone stable.

so, naturally, he’s tried to be that ever since. @yahooanswer talked about an inverse breakdown to scanlan– an implosion rather than an explosion– and i think that this family reunion didn’t avert that at all. it showed us– the audience, not the nein– the kid caduceus should have had more time to be. caduceus had to grow wise not from experience, but sheer necessity, to play the part the nein needed, to play the part of the hermit who’d bury someone’s relative knowingly and promise them peace enough for a stranger to believe it. there are big gaps in caduceus’s knowing persona, and through it you can see someone who misses his family, who wanted to be a kid for longer than he got to be. who missed when he was allowed to not have answers. caduceus is still really young in a lot of ways, young in a way that had to be calcified over deep enough for the nein not to see it, and i think he’s tired. i think he’s so tired. i think he’s scared of slipping up because the nein needs him, because fjord needs him more than ever, and his self-image is shaky underneath all that wisdom.

he and yasha were suspicious of how personal the traveler’s divinity could be, and rightly so, but i think caduceus also, maybe deep down, wants that personal attention for himself, more than just a gust of wind in the right direction when he prays for it. i think caduceus was taught to subsist on so little actually given to him, from his family, from the wildmother, even from his new friends, and i don’t think he feels comfortable at all in asking for more.

As if we needed anymore confirmation that Caduceus refuses to directly acknowledge his grief and hurt. As if we needed anymore proof pain makes him silent.

This week has been a lot, I’m still emotional but first and foremost I felt it’s time for a tribute to Matthew Mercer - he’s said many important things these days.

Being a DM is a hard job. It’s rewarding to make your friends laugh, to make them feel like great heroes, but sometimes you have to be the one to fulfill the dice’s judgement and Matt did that with great grace and emotion.

I’m grateful to watch this journey, all the ups and down, to be with them no matter what. We all must pass through fire and in the end it will be worth it.
