Raised on Little Light - A canon-divergent AU where Nick gets amnesia after the end of book 1. It's a Nick/Bree/Sel fic, completely finished.

Hold Me Like A Knife - Set post-canon, multi-pov fic where Sel accidentally fakes his own death. Bree/Sel/Nick, two chapters, finished fic.

Lord, She Found Me Just In Time - A multi-chapter fic where Bree accidentally goes back in time, and meets a few interesting characters, including a complicated sorcerer and a mysterious knight. It's heavily, embarrassingly inspired by Hozier music.

The Hall of the Mountain King - A queer ACoTaR-critical rewrite where Feysand is sapphic. It's a mix of the parts that I found interesting and the lore that I thought needed to be cleaned up.

This Fatal Kiss:

The Trees Deny Themselves Nothing That Makes Them Grow - Basically a horny possession fic that I scraped a modicum of romance together for.

Squatters' rights apply to grandmas. If someone's not visiting and looking after their grandma, but you will, after a set amount of time once you've settled in, that's your grandma now.

Someone tried to do that with my grandma once. The guy tried to become her kid so they could inherit the house and money.

My grandma people pleases in a way where she lies all the time, so it was really hard to figure out whether or not she wanted to be in that situation, but after she was started to disown my mom (who would travel a couple hours every week to see her) we started fighting the guy. We’re now in a legal battle because he’s been using some sort of squatter’s/tenet’s rights to keep her house, and has had access to the grandma credit card(cuz she just let him borrow it). And my people pleasing grandma is now staying with us, and says she seething hates the guy.

Also, eavesdropping teenagers is a treat because not only are they very loud, you'll hear them saying shit like "oh my god I saw my Hear Me Out's girlfriend" and "wait who was the one who was on the table in a birth giving position?" and get zero context. Casually referring to someone you evidently personally know irl as your "hear me out" is certainly a choice, but I don't think it counts as a hear me out if there's someone willing to date them.

How long do y'all think it took for people to forget mammoths? One generation, two, three? They got rarer and rarer, until the clan felled the last one that they would ever kill, and the hunters who were there would, for the rest of their lives, keep telling the story of how they once slayed the most elusive grand beast, that was only seen once a generation. And the youths would listen their descriptions of them, and though the description didn't make much sense - there was nothing else quite alike a mammoth that it could be compared to - they listened and thought that one day, they would encounter a mammoth, too.

They might tell their children and grandchildren of this, how the old hunters would tell them of a spectacular beast that one might see only three times in a lifetime, and perhaps kill just once. It must be true, since the clan still has the tusk of one, but no-one alive has seen one.

Their children and grandchildren would tell their own children only vague tales they used to hear the old folk tell, of grand beasts bigger than horses and bovines, the grandest game of them all, but no-one alive has met someone who has seen one.
