Learning to fly doesn’t necessarily mean growing wings or having a super power. It could mean the simple courage it takes to jump out of an airplane, catching an airplane to the otherside of the world, climbing a mountain no matter if it’s the tallest in the world or the smallest, overcoming fear, winning the battle of cancer or depression or an eating disorder. Learning to fly isn’t feeling the wind race through you or your heart beating so fast its going to rip through your chest, it’s simply finally being free, feeling the weights lifted and finally being weightless achieving goals grasping even just another 20 seconds of courage and chasing what you want.

I have always let people step all over me, let them use and abuse my loyalty only to never get any acknowledgement but ive finally learnt that life isnt always about making other people happy and you need to be selfish sometimes to enjoy your life. Time is short dont waste it for nobody.

Why are drug addicts judged so harshly because their choice of a personal safety zone is either a chemical substance made by man or grown in nature? We, addicts of other guilty pleasures to the human brain, look at drug addicts as a disgrace to society. As we continue to make ourselves feel better by making drug addicts feel lesser than whole , we also continue to grow/make and distribute these drugs for ourselves that we look so down on for using. I mean, food works in the same way, right? We grow/make it and distribute it out. Whether the food we choose to eat is healthy or not, we eat what we personally find most enjoyable, that’s called pleasure. We don’t treat people who binge eat their feelings with junk food that we made for ourselves, as we would a differently dependent person, who’s peace of mind means being high off brain altering substances that we help create. A person we believe is lesser than ourselves for doing exactly what everyone else around them is doing. So that for at least one minute, they feel like they can belong to a world where no one actually belongs.

How are they any different to us ?

Who has the right to determine whether an animal gets killed or not? Who has the right to determine how much their life is worth? Why are they so insignificant compared to the human race because in all honesty how are they any different. We love, they love. We breathe, they breathe. We have emotions, they have emotions. We feel pain, they feel pain. We get hurt, they get hurt. We learn, they learn. We get bullied, they get bullied. We grow, they grow. We have a heart, they have a heart. We have thoughts and feelings, they have thoughts and feelings. However we do have some differences between us. We get choices, they dont. We have a voice, they dont. We get treated with respect and equality, they dont. We live freely, they are caged, chained and trapped. We are cruel, ruthless, selfish and high headed, they are loyal, selfless and loving until we get a hold of them and inhabit fear, anger and a need to protect themselves. So tell me how are they any different to us, why do they get treated like their lives arent worth it?
