pro tip! if you ever get stuck on your project just fucking cry man. get it out, it's okay
Holy shit-balls.
Off Campus (tv series) - that was so freaking good, oml. Idk how I have NOT read these books yet (how have I not heard them? how has this great author of hockey romance not pinged any of my feeds until now?)
so yeah, my amazon cart is now full of Elle Kennedy books and I will be unavailable for the next three-four business days binge-reading the absolute masterpiece I just watched.
UPDATE ON THE MANIC NOVEL DRAFT: (Quinn Hughes/Female Original Character)
Currently word count is approx. 85,000 and I haven’t quite finished Chapter 7. I am a menace to society and I wish the binge-readers good luck if they ever come across this hefty hunk (when I do post it once I manage to talk myself out of drowning in the shower it’s gonna be a beast)
Plot wise, I have split the main event sequence into 4 parts (pending another Vyvanse no-sleep break through where I get the fantastic idea to let myself ramble for another 5,000 words on the importance of man to man defense over zone defense in relation to who is playing who in the NHL) I have completed part 1 and barely scratched the surface of part 2. I had the horrifying realization that this ‘novel’ is likely to be around a 300,00 word count if it is completed. I almost hate myself for not being able to stop the rats from staging a coup in my brain and running rampant.
So yeah, that’s wild. Also had the sudden moment of clarity where I realized I have unintentionally and subconsciously woven aspects of my own personality into each character which is both humbling (in the fact that it’s mostly my own fears and flaws I shoved into them) and slightly egocentric (in the fact that I even subconsciously thought I could have anything in common with professional athletes)
Anyway, that’s all for now.
I think..?
Yours sincerely,
A supposedly equal parts humbled and egocentric writer person who used her Vyvanse meds to hyperfocus on all the wrong things for productivities sake.
Manically drafting an entirely new novel idea, (Quinn Hughes/Female Original Character) and then continuing to then write over 10,000 words (inclusive of only the prologue and chapter one) in the span of three days fuelled by caffeine and Vyvanse and not enough sleep was NOT on my bingo card for 2026.
Especially since I am a very LOUD supporter of the Edmonton Oilers Hockey team and only dabble in likeliness of the others.
Oh! And the Female Original Character is in the PWHL so I had research and learn all I could about that league and its players ( ALSO A JAILBREAK IS THE BEST RULE IN HOCKEY WTF, and jesus LET THE GIRLS WEAR HALF VISORS IF THEY DAMN WELL PLEASE)
UPDATE; I have now fully committed to the Vyvanse mania as it is now inclusive of a prologue and chapters 1-2 (mostly edited though grammar will need revised) and total word count is a staggering ~19,560 words
Likewise I show no signs of stopping anytime soon, though I am most definitely going to have to tag this excessively worded and detailed novel-esque thing as not just a slow burn but a GLACIAL BURN, like Quinn and the female love interest haven’t even interacted yet (excluding the prologue) and the prologue I believe is only like 2,000-3,000 words make so ugh… Goodluck to any that try to binge read this hefty hunk in one night. I wish you well and pray your eyelids don’t shrivel back from excessive screen usage.
Also high key debating on not even bothering to post this until I get into the juicier bits midway through.
For those interested I will likely continue the random writing updates gifted by Vyvanse and mania.
And for those interested in perusing it once it’s been published, it’ll likely be featured primarily on A03 as a platform. Sorry loves but wattpad gives me the ick and I hate adds with the passion of an alley cat stuck out in the rain.
Feel free to assault my inbox / comments or whatever if you have any questions! I might answer, I might not. The ADHD makes remembering things not directly in my routine or schedule a mine field of accidental forgetfulness (if I can’t see it physically in front of me at this point in time it does not exist - I don’t make the rules I just follow them)
Also the lore I am tying into this MF is so fabulous I want kiss myself.

what ao3 would look like with ads. no, you do not want this. support ao3 because it’s one of the last few places on the internet that is not tainted by capitalism bullshit. support ao3 because it’s one of the last few places on the internet that is genuinely about the connection between audiences, artists, their works and the love/passion artists have for what they do

HOT-TAKE: the only reason men are allowed to walk around topless and women aren’t is becuase the entire patriarchal system decided that women would have too much power.
also because apparently jiggling flesh in combo with lymph nodes & mammary ducts are somehow conceived as sexual. which is just dumb.
like ffs tops are dumb in the summer and they are itchy and confining and rn I wanna burn the lot of them. and it’s not even summer, but just the thought of it being summer and wearing a top cause a guy might get a boner but I’m dying of heat stroke is making me homicidal.
for reference I don’t want advice or solutions to my problems--, I just want to complain :)

not to be political but like wtaf is happening in the world right now?
someone could tell me a corn chip was elected mayor of a town and I’d be like “yeah that checks out.”
also my father keeps finding these tiktoks of conspiracy theories and AI made speeches that are just blatantly untrue (usually very politically motivated) and refuses to listen to reason and facts because if it was on the internet it MUST be true.
One example being that the holocaust wasn’t real (despite the survivors, trauma and literal documentation) and is instead a government lie to brain wash children in schools and take away their idea of free will. brainwashing is what the nazis did to those minorities, and on a much lesser scale is still happening all over the world. (Lesser in the meaning of people actively trying to prevent it, not the damages being done). It’s like never ending circle where one group of people decides they need to exert control over the minorities and even in those known extreme cases, wipe them, their country, culture and way of life out of the world completely.
More to the point of this; the holocaust is real, the suffering of minorities all over the world is still very real. Saying it isn’t should be a freaking crime.
Also I hate family dinners now. Rant over.

It's Autumn, which means if I make a Big Pot of Soup it will Fix Everything. No one fact check me on this. We need to let the soup speak for itself.
SOUP SEASON = BEST SEASON
Soup Season Specials: Golden Trio + Extras
cheers to all as it is currently my favorite season of all; soup season. For that reason I have included a list of the golden trio + extras on what soups they are to me. THIS IS ALL OPINION BASED.
Harry Potter - CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP
classic and basic, a go to in the cupboard that takes little prep to make and is excellent to freeze and have for leftovers.
Hermione Granger - CREAM OF TOMATO
simple & classic, nice and smooth texture. very good when paired with a sandwich to dip.
Ron Weasley - BEEF BARLEY SOUP
another classic. it’s cheap to make and delicious too! most ingredients can be found in a garden.
Ginny Weasley - CARROT SOUP
with a surplus of kids and a garden at home very likely could be there version of a ‘sick soup’. Molly def would have substituted with sweet potatoes on occasion as well.
Luna Lovegood - GOULASH
not the typical type but the ‘what do I have that I can use in the fridge’ type. a little bit of everything and you never know what your getting depending on the cook. a staple in the winter time and a very hearty meal.
Draco Malfoy - LOBSTER BISQUE
pricey and over hyped but a solid choice. very creamy and rich, leaves you full in seconds but overall not much to write home about. seasoning is key- if the seasoning isn’t there the entire pot tastes like bland mush.
Blaise Zabini - CHEESY PEPPER POT SOUP
very tasteful, not the most filling unless creamed but a very warming soup. seasoning is the maker of the dish, and if your tongue is left tingling it’s a 12/10 pot
Theodore Nott - CLAM CHOWDER
boring old man soup, but nice when it’s cold out and you want to spend the day in your jammies with a book. Overhyped and awful smelling when cooking but otherwise a very cheap seafood styled soup that gives the illusion of having money.
Pansy Parkinson - SPLIT PEA SOUP
you eat this if you’re broke or you’re scared of the carbs. honestly a great soup if creamed, very mild and boring when not. if seasoning is done well it can turn this into a miracle otherwise it’s bland green mush that resembles infant food.
Daphne Greengrass - BOUILLABAISSE
stupid name for a nasty fish soup. smells weird, is like a weird fish stew and has a strange constancy that leaves me wanting to puke. Very overpriced and over hyped, honestly not a contender for me though some people love it so if you’re into exotic tastings this might be the soup for you.
Marauders Modern Sport/Activity Edition 101 Comparison
did anyone ask for this? no. am i going to haphazardly tell anyone in a random post on a very mundane Saturday anyway? abso-freaking-lutely.
James Potter - ICE HOCKEY
he makes the calls, he keeps the team together in the dressing room. he’s the first one on the ice and the last one to leave. he power skated in his youth to know his blades more like an extension to him. through losses and wins he keeps it upbeat, he knows when to call it. he pulls the fancy spins the quick turns the digging and battles at boards and around the net. he’s always the first to pass rather than going in for a one timer. he gets nearly triple the amount of assists than he does goals, not because he can’t get the shot and the buzzer singing from the net, but because he doesn’t need the stats. He’s here to play, as a team not as a sole person.
SIDE NOTE: see CONNOR MCDAVID
Sirius Black - ICE HOCKEY
he knows his edges, he can weave and spin with the best. He’s the one to pull a stop out of nowhere and go scrambling in the next direction. likewise he isn’t afraid to be a hard hitter to smash an opponent into the boards to pull a man off his teammate at the net. he looks after the team, he’s the big brother- the protector and the defender but sometimes he does it a little to well and finds himself spending more time than necessarily helpful in the sin-bin. he’s the brutality of the sport, but also the art of it. he energized the team by getting them going when they’re down and has a killer slap shot. he might not call the plays on the ice, but he’s the one to keep the plays alive.
SIDE NOTE: see QUINN HUGHES
Remus Lupin - COURT VOLLEYBALL
great setter, always calculating the game, and trusting his players to get the ball across the net. able to land the last hit and direct to the available uncovered sections across the court. likewise a very powerful and well-aimed serve could be the end all to the game. he controls the game how hard they hit and how fast the pace. it’s delicate but not outwardly so unless he makes it such. he likes the control it gives him, that he makes decisions, that he has choices.
Peter Pettigrew - GOLF
high points are a blunder and he likes the high stakes game. it’s the type of sport where the goal is to play less to win. which is just Peter’s speed. likewise it’s something recreationally that allows him to mess around in a golf cart and take the boys out for a Sunday afternoon with some refreshments like beer in the cooler and take part in a more domestic game of it that he would lovingly refer to as “whack-&-dash”
Regulus Black - FIGURE SKATING (ice dancing) & BALLET
was in ballet as a child until he came to the realization that his feet didn’t have the natural arches that better yourself for the sport, late into ice skating it soon became more apparent that he could still retain his artistic routes but ‘wow’ on the ice much like Sirius. he was naturally gifted at knowing his blades, they were like a second extension to him. He felt like he lost an arm when he was without them. he primarily did solo routines, due to his shorter stature and weight, partnered routines never moulded well with him, he was better on the ice alone. for him to succeed with a partner on the ice they would have to be willing to grant him the female counterparts roles, as that is what he was accustomed to skating and doing- he tried training for lifts but his size left him lacking. He was strong and brilliant in his spins and corrections working endlessly for perfection.
Barty Crouch JR. - SOCCER (eurpoean football)
in it to win at whatever cost. cleats to his shins when kicking, nasty wipe outs and grass stains on his arms, legs and cheeks from diving for the ball. He would be the first to go down screaming from another teams missed kick, and the first to be jumping in during a scrum. he’s all passion and fire on the field. deadly fast and deadly accurate not only by his aim- but not particularly showy about his skills. there’s no fancy dribbling and passes. he keeps it simple, from player to player passes and then the ball to the net. strong believer in the KISS method (keep it simple stupid)
Evan Rosier - COURT BASKETBALL
he would be tall, not the one to run up centre but to always pass the ball for another more able body could take the shot. Calculating and accessing as he changed positions on the court to always be open. It would be delivering sneaky elbows and trips to opposition when the refs attention was otherwise turned to keep his lane free so others could send the ball to him. he wasn’t be afraid to take the penalties and do the dirty work to get was needed completed.
Lily Evans - COURT VOLLEYBALL
she would have a powerful serve and instead of setting the pace of the game and setting the plays at centre she would be a hitter at the net or a power hitter from the back. she would leap for the balls with scrapped knees from slipping pads and go down hard every play. She would throw all hands in and be the first to leap at her teammates in an eccentric hug at the end of each set. Deadly focus to win but having a blast getting there as she did her part.
Marlene McKinnon - BASEBALL
it’s competitive and it’s often summed as a male only sport. She would in her youth have been on all-boys teams, likely having the hardest curveball and be an excellent pitcher. I could see her having deadly aim and accuracy when at the mound. when batting she’d recklessly abandon herself to the thrill of going base-to-base, and always going for a base steal. no hesitation and full trust in her team to do what needed to be done to win. she’d be ruthless.
Pandora Ollivander - GYMNASTICS
particularly the artistic gymnastics. since not only is it an exceptional art form but it requires and represents a very unique set of talent and strength to compete. it can be beautiful, but it can also be very hideous at times come competition and rulings with its ridicule by others. it’s countless repetition on getting your holds and your standings right and your balancing on the precise on falling or rising. it is an all stakes sport, which I think captures her well. (also a very small willowy blonde with long blonde hair doing flips and switches from beams and poles…)

incase it wasn’t obvious I’m quite the hockey fan, every other sport I know only preliminary knowledge about from highschool and college lol. anyway cheers!
Sometimes, the urge to write a fic doesn't come from the genuine need to write something, but from wanting to read it. And, unfortunately, no one has written this specific thing you want.
the fact that vapes are being used more commonly than cigarettes in tv makes me ✨uncomfy✨
You’ve heard of one shots, now get ready for none shots! It’s when you think of an idea for a fic and then don’t write it
#not to brag but im so fckn good at this
