Sierra’s face contorted into the taut, twitching scowl of a man trying his best not to break down sobbing, and underneath Vic’s contrastingly neutral expression, he absolutely relished the sight; transparent tears glistened on warm brown skin, which took on a deeper hue across his hooked nose and high cheekbones. His thick brows scrunched together, a gesture indicative of pain and pleasure alike… how badly Vic wanted to inflict both.

“Give me the damn bottle,” Sierra finally muttered, setting his glass aside and snagging the whiskey.

Vic bared his teeth in a satisfied smile that couldn’t be suppressed. He lifted his barely touched glass and indicated it towards Sierra. “Cheers… to being in the present.”

Sierra hesitated, glancing at the offered gesture. He knocked the base of his bottle against the glass, eliciting a discordant clink, then threw back what must have been three shots worth at once. Vic took a conservative sip, drinking in Sierra’s display like it was a much finer liquor. A different kind of buzz emanated from the tightening crotch of his slacks as hot, heady arousal colored his cheeks with a convincing flush. He adjusted in his seat, crossing his shin across his thigh. He didn’t want to play his hand too soon. This was a waiting game, and he happened to be a very patient man when it served him.
