Listen, nobody who's ever opened a history book says we didn't do that shit first. Pick an atrocity and chances are there was a time europeans did it on mass to someone for the sake of profit. The difference, is that we have for the most part put that behind us, while the US is just sinking deeper and deeper into it. We're not perfect, and we were a lot worse in the past. Britain only stopped paying former slave owners restitution in 2015. It used tax payer dollars to put $20 million into the hands of slave owners as compensation for the enactment of the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833 for 182 years. And only stopped when the "debt" was fully paid. Yet Britain isn't the problem anymore.

"Put that behind us" means refusing to acknowledge that it even existed, placing blame on impoverished countries that got that way due to centuries of slavery and colonisation, and refusing to collect race-relevant data in-country to amend structural inequalities because out of sight out of mind. "Put that behind us" when our cultures and countries have been irreversibly changed and even completely wiped out leaving us without a sense of ancestry, land ownership or our own language, but then treat people of other races, even those born in your countries, like they're a threat to your nations' very existence.

Also that "ummm we are sooo superior because we totally put that behind us" shit is part of Euro nationalism, you know, that shit they pretend they're beyond? They seem to think a superiority complex done the 'right way' isn't nationalistic. America is the best thing to ever happen to these people because it gives them a constant whataboutist out.

British education on this in particular is, from what I've heard, dogshit. You have no idea how many Britishmen I've heard from who thought they had no part in the transatlantic slave trade besides "providing the ships" at most, until they reached adulthood and learned about their fucking starting the trade and forming slave colonies all over the world.

It's interesting how AI casually promotes domestic labor, and the corporations do so intentionally. -When you use a home AI like Alexa, or google home, echo dot, you are provided with a female voice. -When you use assistant or Secretary AI on your phone like Siri, google assistant, or bixby, you also have a female voice so basically, the female voices fulfill the role of servants who don't do anything that requires an opinon but when these corporations released an "intelligent" ai designed to contradict your opinion or seem smart, they switch to a male voice chat gpt? male IBM Watson? male claude? male military ai? male voice assistants are always given a female voice or name, while "practical" or "professional/intellectual" ai gets a male voice

We’re already seeing signs of this, but I believe the trans movement’s downfall will be that it simply became too confusing and too demanding for anyone except hardcore believers to keep up with, and that this happened far too fast. People are exhausted with the endless demands from the trans community, and with how forceful they are about it. People are confused about the whole thing because it’s built on contradictions, individualism, and sexism. It’s just not something that is sustainable long-term unless you’re fully dedicated to the cause and are able to keep up with how rapidly it changes terminology and moves goalposts.

...And remember, there is no physical difference between TIMs and women; vaginas aren't female and penises aren't male...but if TIMs can't take hormones and get surgery to turn their dicks into some approximation of a vagina, they'll literally die for some reason even tho vaginas are totally not a female organ.

...Oh right and "no one is medically transitioning children, that's just rightwing fear-mongering" except also we HAVE to stop states from passing laws to prevent the childhood transition that totally isn't happening.

...And the science is settled, as soon as someone claims to be the opposite sex, they have to immediately be given the means to transition no questions asked or they'll kill themselves. But also don't pay attention to all of the massive national-level reciews that all show there's little to no evidence to support the claim that transition is beneficial to longterm happiness or that it reduces suicide rates. Trust the science! Unless you don't like what the science says, in which case you should bin the whole thing and also stalk, threaten, and harass the scientists who came to inconvenient conclusions!

...And and women are just hysterical bigots for being afraid of men in their bathrooms, don't you know that everyone just goes into the bathroom to pee? Who would go into a bathroom to hurt someone? But also, TIMs are in immediate and extreme danger if they go into the men's room. Anyway, no TIM would ever violate a woman's boundaries in the women's bathroom/changing room bc they're women too! Another story comes out about a "trans woman" attacking or recording a woman or girl in a bathroom? Well, that wasn't a real trans woman, that was just a man pretending to be trans! Remember: everyone is exactly what they say they are, unless it makes TIMs look bad!

And that's just off the top of my head. I could genuinely go on for another 50 pages with all the bullshit contradictions TRAism peddles. But really, all you have to do is uncritically swallow everything TIMs tell you and never question anything! Duhhhh it's soo simple are you, like, stupid or something?

TRAism thrived as long as people were confused about its goals and demands. Its downfall has been people educating themselves and figuring out what was actually being demanded of them.

The gaslighting, the pathetic guilt trips, and the attempts at social ostracization have all lost their edge because, as op said, people are fed up with the bullshit.

Watching older people struggle to use the McDonald’s kiosk genuinely makes me sad. It’s ever increasingly clear that technology literacy courses provided on a state level as a public service are necessary to assist people with the rapidly changing technology landscape. Society changes fast and rather than abandoning people to individualized solutions we need a socialized response to helping people adjust.

The female body, when lacking the nutrients needed to run the body properly, shuts down the female reproductive system first. Libido shuts down; the menstrual cycle quits; she does not want sex--unless it is for either the affirmation or degradation of her body-- nor is she able to birth a child. All of her body's resources go purely to the continuation of her survival.

After the female body recovers from her starvation, there is a distinct possibility that she will never be able to get pregnant or carry a pregnancy to term. Even if she is able to, this process will likely be far more difficult and unlikely than it would typically be.

These facts directly dispute the oft repeated claim that a woman's biological purpose is to reproduce. When given the choice between survival and reproduction, the female body chooses, time and time again, survival. Reproduction is not prioritized in the slightest; in fact, it is often the very first bodily function to be shut down--literally deemed the least important part of a woman's body. And this choice of survival--the prioritization of the heart, the lungs, the bones--over the reproductive system is not even to the purpose of allowing a woman to reproduce later in life; no, the reproductive system is at the very least damaged, if not debilitated for the rest of the woman's life.

If the female body, as so many claim, was biologically "meant" to first and foremost reproduce, perhaps it would choose to increase libido and prioritize the reproductive system in order to let the woman birth a descendant before ultimately dying. This is not what the female body does. The female body itself declares that its own life, not that of which it could create, is the most important, that the female body, alive, is worthy even if it never passes its genes on. The female body declares that it is not alive only to further humanity, to reproduce and then die, but instead to live; to live its own life, following the desires of the woman in command of it and no one else.

The next time someone tries to insist that women are biologically meant for nothing more than populating the earth in the cage of kitchens and bedrooms, remind them of the hundreds of thousands of women living their lives, making scientific discoveries, creating art, and leading nations who survived an attempt of making themselves small, and now take up space, for years, completely unable to reproduce.
