Did you ever get skin removal surgery?
yes only on my lower stomach. They removed the pannis. the surgery was a Panniculectomy.
Are you still around?
Yes, now and then. I’m going to try to get back on since school is out now.

Wellllll, happy #motivationmonday everyone! I hope everybody is starting the week off strongly, whether that entails meal-prepping, taking part in international chest day, or finishing your homework. I wrote myself a new meal plan, and a few new mini goals, finished my homework, trained back, and now I'm about to meal prep. After going to Vegas over the weekend, I realized I'm not grateful enough for my effort that I've put in lately. I know I've worked hard, and I know I have a long way to go, but right at this moment I am happy, which isn't something I used to in regards to my confidence. Have I met my ultimate goal? No. Am I making strides to get there? Yes. Coconut flour pancakes. 😋 50g mashed banana (half of a large), 3 tbs coconut flour, 4 tbs almond milk, 2 eggs, 1/4 tsp baking soda. Adjust the consistency accordingly. I eyeball mine mainly but tried to measure this time so I could share the recipe.☺️ Let them cook on each side fully, don't flip too soon. They should be sturdy when you're about to flip them, otherwise they will crumble since coconut flour is temperamental. Flashback/Transformation Fridayy. It's been a while since I've posted an updated one of these and there will be more to come. For anyone not aware of my story: 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 I was obese during my entire childhood and throughout my teen years. I finally hit 300 lbs and met all of the requirements for bariatric surgery (gastric bypass/gastric sleeve). I was pre-diabetic with a BMI well above 40, with high cholesterol, high blood pressure, severe asthma... all at age 19. I attended the meetings, which were meant to prepare one for surgery: I was the youngest there by at least 15 years, but I was one of the fattest. After realizing the low I had reached, I walked out of the last meeting early, went to join a gym, changed my diet, and didn't look back. Needless to say- I didn't do the surgery. I had to do the work on my own; it wasn't too late for me. Something sparked in my mind and I was grateful. I knew I had to make a change because I wasn't healthy, nor was I happy. I made a name for myself at my gym with my grueling 2am workouts. I always got it done and I didn't give up even though some days I felt discouraged. After 8 months I found myself to have lost over 150 pounds. During the process, I wanted to be skinny but then I came to my senses and wanted to be fit. My body has adjusted over time to the weight loss. Lifting weights has helped! I've heard people say they don't want to lose the weight because they're afraid of excess skin...and that's counterintuitive... But also, that might not always be the same. Every body is different. The skin on my arms has bounced back, and I'd like to thank "the iron" for that.😍 The journey hasn't ended. I've had my ups and downs, I had backtracked a year ago, but no longer. I'm on it, and my journey is always on my mind. The knowledge I've gathered, the trial and error I have encountered is vast-- I have the tools and I know my strategy: I'm continuing to turn plan into action. I'm happier/healthier and I surround myself with people who support me. My weight loss journey has not only prolonged my life, but also has molded me into the person I am now.
