A gift from my lovely wife @galaxythreads
"You have read this book 2 times"
Edrehasivar, seventh of that name <3
Maia Drazhar (looking dubious about the amount of jewelry that has been put on him)
I’ve been re reading The Goblin Emperor and having feelings about it.
i think about this a lot
The guy got his life and career destroyed by his divorce, cut him some slack.
he was also sexually assaulted by a man who could destroy his career
protect him
reblog if the man on the right is just as beautiful as the man on the left
people grow old? like, that’s a thing that happens? leave my guy alone.
This man deserves everything let him he happy
Ok… This is what happened to Fraser
-His wife ditched him and asked for 900k a year,
-He was sexually assaulted which he said kicked him into a deep depression
-He stated that the stunts from the 3rd Mummy movie completely destroyed his body and he was in and out of the hospital for 7 years even having to get surgery to repair his vocal cords.
-He apparently blamed himself for all this which only worsened his depression.
This man has literally been through hell this past decade so please lets cut him some slack and wish him the best
All this but also that picture on the right is a really bad paparazzi photo compared with a professional quality movie promo still. No one looks good when some random person snaps you on the street, regardless of who you are.
Compare with this image from the GQ article last February:
Proper lighting, professional setting, good angles etc.
The dude is 49 and has had a rough couple of decades, but he’s still lovely to look at, and I’ll fight anyone who says otherwise.
Plus, now he’s in Doom Patrol, which makes me happy af.
And let’s not forget he was probably slightly to severely dehydrated to look that buff in he first photo. And I’m so pleased he got work again he seems like a good sort, and from the stealth pilot in Titans, Doom Patrol looks like it should be good.
It shouldn’t even matter what he’s been through. Body shaming of ANYONE is wrong.
ALL OF THIS

2019 Brendan is still slaying, so btfu
This post keeps getting better and I’m here for it
I love this whole thread
I JUST REALIZED
Nikolaj submitting 8x02 instead of 08x05 means that we won't have to see any of the uncomfortable "The Bells" scenes when he's announced at the Emmys ("SOLDIER!!1!1", getting crushed by bricks with his tru luv, "I never cared about the innocent", danebowl) and instead all possible scenes they can show now are the ones with BRIENNE (the trial, them bickering, him staring at her full of love, the KNIGHTING scene) and ahhh what a time to be alive!
you know when Brienne says or does something that catches Jamie off guard and he does That Thing™ where his jaw drops just a fraction like he wants to say something, he pours every ounce of his soul into his eyes as they get really big and teary, and you can see him restraining the urge to get closer to her without actually moving a muscle as he falls just a little bit more in love with her? yeah uh how the fuck does Nikolaj do That™ ???
So, many people (and the script) make it sound as if Sansa had revealed Jon’s parentage because she wanted power or whatever but she actually told Tyrion in the hopes of saving Jon’s life. I mean, Doritto could have him killed secretly in a corner like some random “rebel” but not if others knew the truth. Is the reason GW couldn’t kill him, so Westeros already knows who he is. Even at the Wall Jon is not an anonymous bastard anymore.
What’s written in that script should be ignored solely on the basis that the writers, D&D, ignored it themselves when they directed the episode. So many things are flat out contradicted by the acting it’s ridiculous to try and reconcile what’s on the page and what made it to our screens.
Watch that scene between Sansa and Tyrion in 8x04. She looks sick. She’s not scheming, she’s terrified for Jon. It isn’t a deliberated move, it’s a desperate risk. Whether people like it or not, Sansa is the one who did the most to save Jon in s8. In the finale we didn’t get a successful schemer, we got a heartbroken girl who wished she could have done more to bring Jon home.
Amen to all of this! Particularly the point that Daenerys could easily have had him killed if no one else knew the truth. Add to that the fact that Bran is a cripple and Arya just killed the Night King and has been hailed as a hero for saving the world by two of the kingdoms that Daenerys wants to rule. From what Sansa has seen, Daenerys cares more about her image and power than anything else. If she doesn’t want all of Westeros, but particularly the North and the Vale to turn against her, she can’t harm either of them for this information getting out. Not to mention that she hates Sansa already and has barely interacted with either of her siblings. Therefore, Sansa is deliberately doing what she can to save Jon with the knowledge that there is little to no chance that the rest of her family will be hurt or killed because of it. If Daenerys had decided to take out her anger on the Starks for revealing Jon’s heritage, it would have been Sansa alone who would have faced that punishment.
Seriously, this is one of the major plot points of the Post-8x05 fix-it fic I’m writing because this should have been addressed on-screen and it never was.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be opposed to a calculating/more manipulative Sansa, but that isn’t what we got on our screens. No one was as loyal to Jon as she was, no one believed in him as much, and there isn’t a decision she made that wasn’t in the best interest of him/her people. Whatever is in the scripts, whatever is said in interviews, they simply did not convey any nefarious scheming or duplicity on her part.
There is SO MUCH that should have been fleshed out/addressed in s8 and I’ll never understand how they happily left so much open to (mis)interpretation. Very frustrating.
I’m enjoying your fic and definitely recommend it!
I have just bookmarked the fic! Honestly there are so many conversations we didn’t have in season 8 and the fact that we have a “pit meeting” but no trial for Jon, or any conversations between Sansa and Tyrion because I bet you she must have bargained for him, it’s what is so frustrating. I wish they have spend less time with the dragons and more with the actual political situation. I mean they brought the Golden Company to give them one minute of screen time! The Lannisters had more meaningful conversations that the Starks! What happened to Varys’s ravens? Why not show Sansa and Brienne saying goodbye? What is Jon going to do at the Wall? There’s no purpose for the NW now! Is it a prison? Who’s going to finance if when the Wall existed they were struggling to make ends meet already? Is under Sansa’s authority? If Jon can come and go with the wildlings then he’s not a prisoner?It’s so frustrating!
First of all, that’s an awful lot of thinking you’re doing so you’re gonna have to stop that immediately. :)
I really think that instead of taking full responsibility to make their story make sense, D&D opted to just hint at what Martin is doing and call it a day. It’s possibly that he wanted them to do that, but whether it was their choice or they were doing him a favor, they clearly underestimated how little they actually communicated in their ending. Relying on future books to fill in the logical gaps isn’t sufficient, is in fact, a crappy thing to do to the fans, particularly as we don’t know when/if we will get the books.
And on top of that issue, instead of them asking “what would Jon (Sansa, Arya, Grey Worm, Yara…) do?” They said, “Jon’s gonna say/do this” regardless of it making sense for his character, as a follow up to his previous scene. It was totally disjointed. SO much of s8 was decided by “this will look cool” rather than “what are we telling the audience?” That’s evident by the fact that they cut away from every intense emotional conversation as if they can’t bear to dwell on it when typically that’s the part writers salivate over. That’s what so many GoT fans are here for. Those moments are what we’ve spent years working towards and then they decide they’re not worthy to be shown? Infuriating. The emotional fallout/what characters do as a result of what they think and feel is what makes a compelling story and s7-8 are devoid of that. We aren’t 100% certain of anyone’s inner workings. And as a result of them not asking themselves the important questions/showing us those moments, nothing makes sense.
Yara: Hey Sansa, you’re not going to pardon Jon the second you’re crowned queen in the north, are you?
Sansa, handing Yara a piece of paper: Not to worry. I have a scroll that explains everything.
Yara, reading it: This just says “I can do what I want”.
Sansa: I am queen in the north and this is the north and Jon will be in the north. I can do what I want.
- you can love him, but you can’t keep him (j.p.)
I don’t even like you. You do.

I kinda feel like the show gave off the impression that there are only like 10 houses in Westeros but theres so many..
I know its no ones fault, budgetary restrictions are a thing and its also understandable that having an additional hundred peoples last names and flags would become confusing but i thought id share this for a sense of scale.
P. S: each of these houses can have anywhere from 1 to 100 minor lords and landed knights overseeing smaller castles, towns and villages in their name and yes they all have their own flag and banners too.
P. S. S.
Grey and white=The North
Cyan and teal = The Vale
Blue=The Riverlands
Red = The Westerlands
Pink and purple = The Crownlands
Yellow = The Stormlands
Green = The Reach
Orange = Dorne
Brown = Iron Isles
Edit: cant believe i forgot to mention this but most of you probably could tell by the watermark in the top corner, i did not create this and all credit for this map belongs to them.
Some of the people reblogging this are putting “has this dumb bitch read the books?” yes i have my favourite character is satin flowers.

For book loyalty sake, she might need some "homely face" protesics (bc she's pretty af) but who cares if she can beat up your ass.
