Itâs called the crayola colorcycle program! As on its FAQ, they mention the following:
âCrayola ColorCycle will accept all brands of plastic markers, not just Crayola markers. That includes dry erase markers and highlighters! ColorCycle will eliminate placing hundreds of tons of markers into landfills.â
There do seem to be some limits, however, as far as I can tell, anyone can ship in a box of markers. âAny sturdy cardboard box with minimal outer markings will work. The more markers you ship, the more efficient this program will be. We suggest a minimum of 100 markers and a maximum of up to 40 pounds.â
Also, look for the Crayon Initiative.Â

Weâll start with the 2009 Laika film Coraline based on the novel by Neil Gaiman. Do you know who directed it? Burton or Selick?

If you guessed Henry Selick, you would be correct. Tim Burton actually had absolutely nothing to do with Coraline at all in anyway ever. Reminder: Tim Burton has NOTHING to do with Coraline. At all. But that was an easy one. Letâs go to the Walt Disney Pictures adaptation of Roald Dahlâs novel, James and the Giant Peach next.

Yep thatâs right. Even Tim Burtonâs The Nightmare Before Christmas was directed by Henry Selick. Though Burton wrote the poem and created the characters in which Nightmare was based he didnât have much interaction with the project beyond that. At the time he had already signed off to direct the film Batman Returns and did not want to be involved with the âpainstakingly slow process of stop-motion animation.â
Looks like it was a trick quiz. But now you know Henry Selick, whom people rarely know of is responsible for many of the most well known stop-motion animated films. The more you know!
This isnât even being qeued. This is just being reblogged, because some of you still donât understand who directed Coraline.
You guys donât understand, Henry Selick was so happy and so incredibly nice and grateful that there was a festival solely dedicated to the art of Stop Motion and that he was an invited guest. He was treated like a superstar in his craft, and he was absolutely surprised.
All stop motion animators were actually. So please please please, appreciate this guy and his hard work in his key role at keeping stopmotion animation alive and well today.
A few years back, Selick was working on a new film called The Shadow King which he concepted and wrote himself, and Disney chopped it half way through production. He was apparently devastated, and who could blame him with how painstaking stop motion is. If he had as much popular recognition as he truly deserves, Disney might not have pulled the plug, and itâs such a tragic loss given how beloved so many of his films are.

Top tip - Paypal, and indeed almost every legitimate business you have email contact with, will always use your name rather than a generic honorific like âclientâ or âSir/Madamâ.
If it doesnât say your name anywhere in the message, do not trust it.
First thought: Ho-ho, that clunky English is a dead giveaway.
Second thought: If English wasnât my first language would I notice the clunks?
As @justhere4coffee points out, real business contacts address you by the name you gave them when you signed up (and it wasnât Sir/Madam Client, was itâŠ?)
Hereâs another tip: When you hover your cursor over a click-button, the destination URL will appear on a pop-up or at the bottom of the screen. Know what the correct one should be. If the email pop-up is different, itâs a fake.
(If you donât know the correct URL for PayPal, eBay, Amazon or wherever the email claims to come from, find out.)
If youâre thinking â why am I seeing this? I havenât used PayPal / eBay / Amazon in weeksâ, check your account information on the actual business website.
Finally, forget the âI hit reblog SO FASTâ stuff.
Think before you click, especially if an unexpected email has ominous phrases like: âplease respond within 24 hours orâŠâ, âpenalties may be incurred ifâŠâ Thatâs very, very dodgy.
A legitimate business email works by calendar, not by stopwatch.
