lesser movies than mamma mia (2008) would've made the central conflict be between the three dads and stoked endless competition and jealousy between them, fighting about who gets to be sophie's "real dad" and who has (and had) a "right" to pursue donna but mamma mia is no such movie. mamma mia is a cinematic masterpiece and as such they are pals throughout, happily go along with all the shenanigans and spend loads of quality time together throughout the film. they are just vibing! and then all three of them become the dads no questions asked. no drama! only vibing in greece

This year, on the 31 March, we lost Gilbert Baker, gay artist and creator of the gay pride flag. Today we would celebrate his 66th birthday. Let’s remember him as the wonderful person he was.

i just want to add to this post that the last update made to the official pride flag by Glibert Baker before he passed away was THIS:

the new lavender stripe at the very top was added to represent DIVERSITY and as far as i am aware, was added in retaliation against trump’s presidency. i’ve not seen many people use this version, and it deserves to be known.

I frankly do not care about “romance repulsion”.  I understand being annoyed by romance being so prevalent in today’s media that it’s forced constantly into narratives. I understand being frustrated with the pressure to be in a romantic relationship when you do not want one. I understand being repulsed by romantic feelings/attention being directed towards you and wanting to get away from that. But shit like this?

I have no sympathy for it. You being totally disgusted and incensed by OTHER PEOPLE being romantic towards eachother is flat out unhealthy and something you need to get over instead of foisting onto other people.  ESPECIALLY GAY/BI/TRANS PEOPLE. Telling us that you see us expressing love as disgusting is not fucking ‘valid’ or worthy of respect, it’s just subjecting us to more vile bigotry. LGBT people have to be brave to be romantic in public and you’re going to shit on them for doing so? Fuck you. Shut up.  Quit saying you’re ‘romance repulsed’. Just say you’re bitter and angry that you can’t relate to people liking romance so you take it out on them instead of working on developing a healthier outlook. Also just admit you’re homophobic.
