This was originally intended as my blog for just Once Upon a Time stuff but it's migrated into more a general blog. Now @notesfromthestorybrookelibrary is my purely OUAT blog where I just reblog random OUAT stuff that takes my fancy. So here you'll mostly see Rumbelle or Curious Archer, when it's OUAT related. Other Fandoms: Timeless (Garcy!, Or Lorynn, Basically Flynn being happy because yeah, Riya), She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (mostly Entrapta related), Buffy, Leverage, A:TLA (Zutara, Or Zuko or Katara focused character posts mainly), Also random Australian kids' TV shows by Jonathan Schiff (because they are awesome). Sometimes I write things such as fics and metas but my muse is kind of flighty these days and I don't have a lot of time to write even if I can get my muse to co-operate. I go by Shadowed_Oracle on AO3. Also someday I will get a better image for my header.

Here's the cat burglar. She wears comfy clothes and has zero social skills. She has sex appeal but only if you're into a very specific type of woman, and crucially she has zero idea she has it. She probably doesn't know what an innuendo is.

Here's the hacker. He's a Black nerd, and also the most moral character of the bunch. He's a nerd but also not socially awkward; in fact, he's the second best at grifting, right after the person who's been doing it for decades.

Here's the muscle. In his heart of hearts, he is a chef. He is tough and manly but he uses that to look out for the working class and children and everyone else the system leaves behind. He's feared by politicians and he reminds his friend to tip the delivery person.

Here's the femme fatale. She's over forty years old, and she's the one seducing the mark. She's the heart of the team. Her calling is to be a director. She loves attending her own funeral.

Here's the mastermind. He's the only one who doesn't start out as a career criminal. He manipulates his own crew, kills two people after promising them he won't, and takes deals behind their back. He was in seminary school.

Also, here's their nemesis. He's Mark Sheppard.

does anyone ever think about how cora would have only wanted rumple if he became the dark one, and how that's the same case for zelena and the evil queen? that even as the dark one, there was always still that bit of the spinner in rumplestiltskin? and that no one, not a single other character saw that in him, until he met belle?

does anyone ever think about how the big, bad landlord mr. gold could've easily acted and sassed his way into being with lacey, but instead he was reduced to an awkward mess? how he can be ruthless and cold to anyone else, but the moment he's in front of belle, whether herself or cursed, he turns back to the kind spinner he used to be before everything?

does anyone ever think about how despite being abandoned by his mother then his father then his wife, rumplestiltskin found it in himself to be kind even when he was called the village coward? how he lived long enough to see himself turn into a villain, to see others see him as a villain, and somehow belle still saw through all of that?

does anyone ever think about how in any universe, belle would've probably still ended up falling in love with rumple? how even if he never became the dark one, unlike cora and the others, she would have still loved him?
