Those people who constantly reblog your stuff but you never really talk:
I just found this and I'm so tickled it exists so in case it's useful to anyone else the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center has a search engine of commercially available wildflower species by state that lets you filter by appearance, lifespan, soil type, light requirements, and other factors to figure out what you can plant in your space if you're looking to add more native plants to your garden.

happy late birthday to my favorite girlboss
Your character doesn't need to be likeable. They need to be legible. The reader needs to understand every decision they make even when it's wrong, even when it's ugly, even when they want to shake them. Likeable is easy and forgettable. Legible is what makes someone stay with you for years. Make the logic of every bad choice visible. The reader doesn't have to agree with it. They just have to follow it.
i occasionally do adoptable designs on my patreon discord/toyhouse and i was thinking about these star wars ones I did a few months almost a year???ago (time flies)
I really like how they came out so I thought I'd share them here as well!!
[they all have homes except for Cherry Jubilee and Open Sky]
So stoked to share the official trailer for the Avatar Aang movie, now releasing JULY 25th on Paramount+!!
I’m so proud of our crew and honored to have been a part of this.. for everyone who has waited to watch the official release in order to support the artists and animators, I just want to say thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart - it truly means so much!!

As someone who was alive when Bob Ross (and William Alexander before him — that’s where the approach is from) was on PBS, I can 100% testify that you can paint along with him.
You may need to learn how to set up your paints and such… but this is what people did, live, while the show aired. That’s what the show was for. I had family members create lovely works of art they enjoyed, which I still have on my walls, because William Alexander and Bob Ross both said:
SCREW METICULOUS CLASSICAL ART PRACTICES — JUST GRAB A PALETTE KNIFE AND BIG OLD BRUSH AND PAINT!
They freed a whole generation of people who were taught to paint detail and realism and exact representation of reality — people who largely gave up this kind of thing because it got tedious.
I watched the joy of family members as they rediscovered art as a messy fun spontaneous half hour activity.
Give it a try.
Rest in peace Akihiro Miwa (1935-2026)
I haven't seen anyone talking about this and just wanted to make a quick post on here.
Akihiro Miwa recently passed away peacefully june 20th, and was not only a drag queen and a queer icon, but also the japanese voice of Arceus in the movie Arceus and the jewel of life, as well as the witch from Howl's moving castle and Moro from Princess Mononke.
Rest in peace and thank you for the wonderfull impact you made in this world.
its crazy how nobody has ever been as objectively beautiful as danny john-jules in red dwarf and nobody ever will be again
