Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.

Thinking about how koreans normally refer to their family with "우리(/저희)"(our) instead of "my"(내/제), like "우리 가족(our family) "우리 엄마(our mother)" "우리 언니(our big sister)", etc... (sidenote: 우리/내 = informal, 저희/제 = formal equivalent)

but yoohyun calls yoojin "내 형” = *My* big brother......🥹😭

Apparently in the entire novel, he never once refers to yoojin as “우리 형”(our hyung)... It's always "내 형”(my hyung)...

Not only did he try to kill that one s-ranker just for patting his head & telling him to call him "hyung"(won't accept "hyungs" other than yoojin) but he even goes against cultural norms to call yoojin *HIS* hyung and not share him with anyone else... 😭😭😭😭

"You petted my head and told me to call you 'hyung'. That alone is reason enough to kill you."

yoojin really is yoohyun's "one and only"하나뿐인 hyung.....😭

sidenote: apparently the one exception to the "우리”(our) convention when it comes to family is with younger siblings (“내 동생”)... for some reason, you always say "my younger sibling" and not "our"... Even for one's own children, "우리"(our) is used...(우리 아들 our son, 우리 딸 our daughter)

so basically both Yoojin & Yoohyun call each other with "my"(내 동생, 내 형)... (not unusual for yoojin, but unusual for yoohyun)

Just like how they're each other's only family, and most precious person in the whole world... o(-<

(sidenote2: as for why Koreans say "our (family)" instead of "my", it's an established cultural convention, but I heard it's originally to create a sense of shared familiarity/bond with the listener, as Korea is a collectivist society/culture...)
