You can read the first few pages at evanpb.com So if any of yall grew up playing with TMNT toys, like I did, you’ll remember that a lot of the Turtle figures would be displayed in the box with a huge array of ninjitsu-related weapons set into the plastic, splayed out around them. That was sort of the inspiration behind this. It’s super vague and minute but I also wanted to give a small nod to NG:E, and so the pose and background is kind of inspired by a certain frame in the Angel’s Thesis opening of the Evangelion series.
