we're actually so lucky to have grown up and been the prime age just as social media was taking off it was actually fun

no mr beasts or james charles running around, meaningful conversations, high engagement in fandom, less snark spaces, no AI search results, safe websites designed for kids/tweens...we really had it all. despite how bleak things are right now i want to believe that one day we can return to that version of social media 🫠
