Hello shiftblr! This post is a little late but better late then never!

But for those who can't or don't wanna read it, hi my name is Mozzie! I'm an 18 year old from the US and I was introduced to shifting through my friend Daya! I haven't shifted to my DR yet but thats gonna change soon!

Some of my DR's are Pokemon, Undertale, Epithet Erased and Stardew Valley! The only one I have scripted rn is Pokemon though lol

how shifting & manifestation are linked

i started trying to actively shift in december 2020. i went in with only a little prior knowledge i gained from amino/the subliminal community in 2017 & a vague concept of where i wanted to wake up. i very nearly shifted on my first try and it got harder as time went on. let me explain.

what gets lost in translation is that “baby shifters” (people who are very new to the community) actually have a better concept of shifting than a lot of the people who have been trying for months/years. even a better concept than some of the people who have already shifted. this is because when they are completely new to the community, their mind is a blank slate - i, for one, was reminded about shifting in dec ‘20 by a video mentioning it on tiktok. i instantly thought “oh shit that sounds interesting,” put on the first guided meditation i saw on youtube and lay down. i saw the most insanely realistic visualisations i’ve ever mentally conjured, felt like i was floating, heard quiet voices, etc. this scared me shitless so i snapped myself out of it. had i stayed with it, i would have shifted and woken up in hogwarts (yes i know it’s basic i had just turned 14 shut up) 

so what do i do? i obsess. i overconsume information in a bad way. i scroll through every tiktok i can find (bad idea) and mindlessly trust everybody who says they’re an expert & preaches “clean your room or you can’t shift, drink water or you can’t shift, shifting is the most important thing you’re ever going to do & it’s amazing, count or you can’t shift, be in a quiet room or you can’t shift, etc etc etc.” this is the fate of a lot of baby shifters. what happens in this time of overconsumption is the once exciting but simple idea of just waking up somewhere different becomes this huge, twisting, important event with rules and limits. they start to obsess over the things they are doing right and wrong because they see shifting as something that is unnatural or unattainable. they think there’s no way they’re ever going to get where they want to go unless they binge listen to [insert highly acclaimed subliminal] or try [insert highly acclaimed method] because this isn’t something they can jsut do themselves - this is a test, and they need to revise. they need to know & remember everything. they need to make a 50 page script complete with every single detail of everything that could ever possibly happen to them in their desired reality because if they don’t, they’re going to fail. in doing so, they deprive themselves of the fact that shifting is a basic human trait. it’s a basic trait of consciousness. people have been doing it for a very long time, before the age of guided meditations and pouring a cup of water into another fucking cup of water thinking it’s going to give them their deepest desires. the only thing that we have, that everyone who has ever shifted like, ever, has in common is that we are consciousness and we are unbound by these rules we’ve created for ourselves. 

it’s a modern human thing to cage our power. we did the same thing with manifestation - “you can’t manifest, life just happens, we aren’t all powerful, and if we are, it’s only up to [x] point.” we draw lines and decide we can’t cross them. fuck the lines. you made the lines and you can destroy them.

the day i said “i’m going to shift” and didn’t run to make an essay of a script was the day i broke free of all that meaningless shit that was trying to keep me from what i wanted. i quite literally went up to my room in the middle of the day (omg sunlight is going to ruin your shifting process omg nooo) and i lay down & counted & visualised & i was there. it’s that fucking simple. it’s not game over if you over consume, you just need to learn that everything you need to get everything you want is already inside of you. stop putting shifting on a pedestal - it isn’t fucking above you and neither is anything/anybody else. you’re shifting now. you’re shifting every time you make a decision, conscious or not. you’re shifting every time you manifest something. it’s in you, it’s in your blood.

“ok so i shift 24/7 but … shifting to a reality where i get the bus instead of walk is not as big of a deal as shifting to a reality where i’m surrounded by my comfort characters/i look totally different/i live the life of my dreams” baby. angel. love of my entire life. you are lying to yourself. this is the exact same argument as “ok so ig i can manifest something small like (idk, a coin) but it’s so much harder to manifest a total change in bone structure because one thing is more important than the other!!” like be quiet do you even hear yourself. how much something “matters” is not relevant. something being big & scary & important vs being tiny and insignificant and easy is simply just a man-made concept. at some point in history some guy said “ayo ted this piece of money-paper is worth much more than this near-identical piece of money paper” and ted said “aight” and FUCK ted because his descendants are still living with his limiting beliefs. things are not worth more or less until you decide they are. shifting to a reality where everything is the same apart from, oh wait, you did end up taking the bus and shifting to a reality where you’re famous and beautiful and you have everything you want is the same fucking thing. it’s exactly the same process. once you realise that YOU give & subtract meaning to things, everything changes.

Small tip for people who twitch a lot during shifting or those who have tourettes

Instead of thinking 'oh no i moved now i gotta start over again' or getting demotivated or giving up completely if you twitch or move, immediately think of you moving the way you did in your dr body. For example, if my hand moves i imagine that happening while I'm in my dr. Repeat this thought till it stops bothering you :)

A Friendly Shifting Reminder <3

It’s ok to take a break from shifting. It’s good for you. Taking a break resets your mind and body and will often making shifting easier. Don’t believe that you have to try and shift every night or you will lose all your progress. Try different methods. Try different subs. Try different environments. Take breaks. Your DR people will wait for you as long as they need to. :)

A Simple Guide To Shufflemancy

I’ve decided to repost some of my more popular posts from Amino to here, in hopes it helps someone or maybe helps me find more shifting mutuals <3

What is shufflemancy?

Shufflemancy is a form of divination that involves using the shuffle feature to get an answer to a question. Many people (including myself) have used it to contact their DR friends, family, or significant others.

What do I need to do this?

An electronic device (phone, computer, tablet, etc,.)

A playlist (shufflemancy playlists are available online, but using your own is highly recommended)

Things to Consider

Shufflemancy isn’t a form of witchcraft. However, it is a form of divination which can be against some religions!

If you have a themed playlist (ie. happy, sad, love…) your answer may not be accurate, as there’s no variety for the person you’re contacting to choose from.

Sometimes people in your desired reality are dramatic. They’ll be overly negative at times by choosing a bad song in hope to get you to shift to them faster, so take these songs with a grain of salt.

You may not always get answers. Whether the person you’re trying to contact isn’t in the mood or just plain doesn’t want to answer it, assume this when you get a song that makes no sense.

Nothing will be sugarcoated, expect answers to be accurate.

The Tutorial

(Optional) Meditate for five minutes, or until you feel at peace. I believe the relaxation in your mind and body assists in having a clearer connection to the universe.

Begin to send a message out to the universe. If you’re trying to contact a person, try something along the lines of “[Name], how are you feeling?”; you can ask whatever question you’d like - you don’t even have to contact someone. You could ask the universe a question instead if you desire, though I don’t suggest asking when you’ll shift as the answer could be demotivating.

(Optional) Intend how you’ll get your answer. To do this, simply affirm something like “after three shuffles, the fourth will be my answer.”

With your intention still fresh in your mind, go to your playlist of choice and shuffle your desired amount of times. Your answer will be there.

Tips

Listen to the song in full to derive meaning from it. Does this song relate to your question? Does it hold a special meaning for you? A special meaning to who you’re connecting with?

Using a playlist of your own will make the answers more meaningful and personal - but isn’t required.

If you are experiencing hallucinations, dizziness, seeing white flashes, and heart rate increasing.

THAT ISN’T A SYMPTOM OF SHIFTING!!!

I am so concerned for some of you. Hallucinations are not normal! Seeing, feeling, hearing things that aren’t there isn’t normal and isn’t a good thing. This is coming from someone who suffers from psychosis!

Hallucinations can be a symptom of tiredness, psychosis, and psychotic disorders, along with just having hallucinations. Please see a doctor!

Dizziness is not normal and not healthy! It is a symptom of so many heart problems (especially if you have the next two symptoms). P l e a s e see a doctor

Seeing white flashes is not normal and 10000% not healthy!!!!!! It is a symptom of many heart problems and eye problems! Please

Heart Rate increasing is normal sometimes. If you’re lying down, in a cool room, and not panicking? That is concerning!!!

Please for the love of god stop trying to say that these are normal symptoms and that it’s a good thing when they could be symptoms of something much worse and are not good things!!

Symptoms are defined as anything unusual - while I had no symptoms during my first big shift, others have - including some listed here.

A good rule of thumb for figuring out if something is a symptom or a health problem is taking your own health into account. For example, the dizziness symptom could be shifting related, but it could also be caused by a lack of water which many people today struggle with.

You aren’t having serious eye or heart problems because someone on Tumblr said so - but if the shoe fits see a doctor.

some of ur listed drs are 2d animated. if u shifted there already, what did it look like? i wanna shift to bnha one day, but i have no idea what to expect to look like. was it like live action or 3d?

It depends on what you script! Mine looked like the animations, and i was animated too, so i dont think you have to worry!

I know a lot of people who had their DR look more realistic, but i think they either scripted it for clarity or their subconscious made it that way while shifting.

Girl help I keep ignoring my DRs to make more scripts I won’t use

i have the dumbest question ever but.. i tried listening to an overnight subliminal/meditation(it was 8 hours) for shifting and i have stumbled upon a problem that i would love to know if anyone else has felt or experienced. basically i listen to subs with ear buds and.. i usually fall asleep lying on my side and i have found that it really hurts my ears because of the ear bud? AND I CANNOT FALL ASLEEP OR focus on anything else besides the pain lmao. so i wanted to ask if anyone has found any solution to this because the only ones i have come up with are listening to subs without ear buds(but i feel like i won’t be able to hear them well and they won’t affect me as much?) and the other one is sleeping on my back - which makes me very uncomfortable for numerous reasons but i mean if it is the only solution i will do it.   i still wanted to ask if anyone else has any thoughts or tips for this? its so dumb and complain-y i know but i guess it doesn’t hurt to ask😂 (i still had some crazy ass symptoms tho and i only listened for 20mins if anyone wants the meditation it was this one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51QhHdpOPEE&t=1417s&ab_channel=LucidDreamingExperience )

Backstory: I was born to my human father and witch mother. They decided it was safest if I was raise in the human world with my father. I’ve always been attracted to magic and witch craft even when my father tried to detour me from it. I’d draw sigils in the dirt by my house when I was little and it would glow but my dad ran me inside when he saw. I didn’t have friends because I was considered a freak due to my ears being pointed or elf like. Well until I become friends with Luz. She thought my ears were cool. We met in the bathroom at school in 7th grade. Later in early 8th grade my dad decided we’d move, didn’t tell me we’re too. Next thing I know I’m in the boiling Isles. it took us a month to set up the house because my mom refused to use magic to help unpack.

Family: Dad(left)- They/he, Demiboy, Demisexual, 36- He’s not the best dad, they makes mistakes but he’s always trying to improve and does his best given they’ve been raising me alone for 14 years. Friends:

Luz- met in 7th grade and were friends until I moved to the boiling Isles. We’re reunited when willow introduced us. She’s teaching me how to use glyphs. 

Willow and Gus- once I was enrolled into Hexside we became friends pretty quickly

Edric and Emira - we met my first week on the isles. We had a rocky start because they kept messing with me because I was easy.

Amity- we only became friends when she became friends with Luz.

Love Life:

Edric and Emira- they like to flirt with me and use me as some kind of game, who can get the biggest reaction out of me. Most of the time I don’t mind it but it’s frustrating not knowing where I stand with them. Thankfully they don’t flirt all the time and they’re pretty chill but they can take things too far. Emira has noticed how they flirt affects me and has lessened how much she does it but Edric hasn’t. He’s kinda oblivious..

Idea: Let’s make a shiftblr chain where everyone lists some very random but useful things to script into your dr! Let’s keep them as ones that will work for pretty much any dr, that way this can be helpful for anyone!
