So far, I have spent my day at my boyfriend’s house, having brunch and playing video games together.

It’s been the most relaxing day I’ve had in weeks. ♥︎

My mentor professor suggested that I start blogging my foodie experiences. I’m lucky enough that I get to live in beautiful Sonoma county where the food is earthly and fresh and the wine is top-notch.

This is a photo taken at Twist Eatery, a whimsical little restaurant seated in the outskirts of downtown Sebastopol. I went here for lunch with my boyfriend and his roommate. My boyfriend ordered a creamy gnocchi dish while his roommate and I both opted for the Asian-inspired chicken caesar salad. Both dishes were mouthwatering... our salads had crispy bits of apple and currants and it was all perfectly dressed with a ginger-soy caesar dressing. The chicken was just a touch crispy on the outside yet tender on the inside. All of our dishes came with buttered toast made with bread that’s baked fresh daily in their own kitchen.

It took quite a while for us to get our food but it was worth the wait! Generous portion sizes and very friendly staff. In fact, it’s run by middle-aged couple and they’re both extremely sweet. Everything on the menu is made from local ingredients. Wonderful farm-to-table lunch spot :)

Sometimes, you just have to give yourself permission to stop thinking about all of the things that are scaring you. Allow yourself to engage in something that makes you happy. Be kind to yourself, always.

I know it’s been a long time since I’ve used Tumblr on a consistent basis, but I’m revamping this blog a bit. It’s still going to be my personal Tumblr account - I’m just going to start blogging my creative writing more.

self-confidence, i’m realizing, is a lot deeper than just thinking i’m beautiful and being free in who i am. it also includes being confident in my decisions and trusting myself to be committed to the things i want to do. to step outside of my comfort zone and assure myself that i will be okay in doing so. this kind of self-confidence will help me see the success i want to see.
