«The visitor struck everyone at the “Cabaret” with two things: his magnificent tailcoat and the fact that he was wearing a black mask.»
I finally got around to drawing the book version of Woland in a mask—the very one @aoya requested from me for a challenge. Thank you very much! I’ve never drawn the book version before; it was an interesting sketching experience. Bonus content below.
I’m temporarily setting aside the rest of the drawings from the challenge—with the exception of the piece featuring Woland and the Master from the film adaptation.

Cowboy Bebop's main character Spike Spiegel was directly modeled after the Japanese actor Yusaku Matsuda, specifically inheriting his distinct physical appearance, effortless coolness and tragic anti-hero persona. Director Shinichiro Watanabe and character designer Toshihiro Kawamoto drew heavily from Matsuda's definitive role as Shunsaku Kudo in the 1979 live-action drama Tantei Monogatari (Detective Story).
Spike's signature unruly, fluffy hair, his lanky frame and his penchant for wearing a loosely tailored, crumpled suit paired with a button-down shirt are visual nods to Matsuda's character. Beyond the style, Spike embodies Matsuda's trademark blend of laid-back, cynical nonchalance masking a deep melancholy and martial arts prowess, serving as a profound tribute to the late actor.
