omgggg they're finally done!!!! (i say that like it's been a long time. it's only been a week. an intense one though! total time taken: 12.5 hours for tenna, 5 hours for spamton (excluding the code editing))

(about a third of all my followers are here because of spamtenna shimejis. i guess im a spamtenna artist now??? )
NOTES:
there could be offsets between shimejis and windows they're interacting with, this is normal and asfaik there's no easy fix for that. scaling the shimejis affects these offsets as well
i usually have them at 2x scale to see the sprites better, especially for the petting action
they keep getting stuck on top of the screen as well as treating the bottom of it as the bottom side of a window. im not sure how to fix this
to make them interact with windows, go to settings > interactive windows and add the desired windows to the whitelist, one per line (you can make all windows interactive by adding a, i, o, u, e to the whitelist, one per line. also, add bongocat to to the blacklist as it messes with things. alternatively, leave the whitelist empty and only use the blacklist)
hugs are toggleable! to toggle them off, right-click the shimejis, go to allowed behoviors and uncheck "hunt" and "runaffordance"

if i really wanna suffer, i might make spamton sit on tenna's head
for even more suffering, make an outfit change for spamton (big shot ver)

uhhh make them dance?? i looked at tenna's sprites and like 50% of them is him dancing. this gotta mean something

The song under the lake. Itās not a ānewā song. But, I canāt rememberā¦
I didnāt notice it at all the first time I did it because I was so awestruck by the scene. I did it again to look for extra details, and I fixated on the noises. Hard to hear it under the constant distorted DODLDODOO ominous stings as we go deeper into the lake, but the noise that plays there. Go look at the gameās audio files. āch5_inversion_lake_chantā, something like that. the song that plays when we drown. Itās the song under the lake. And like the onion tells us, āitās not a ānewā songā. Itās a song we all know, at least, in part. And itās driving me crazy to think what it could possibly mean!!!
Itās fucking Your Best Friend. Thereās no clear melody, itās all drum beats, but it is the EXACT beat of that track. Iāve listened over and over and I can only hear that. Iām not sure if there are any other DR/UT tracks that use that rhythm precisely - the thing that makes me feel really insane is that Floweyās motifs show up normally in CH5 for Flowery. This being what it is canāt have any relation to Flowery and the normal chapter 5, right? like no way is any of that related lol. so what is the meaning??? Asriel??? Living roots??? that like a flower, I guessā¦ WHAT DO IT MEEEAAAN
my realistic idea of what it is so far is just that itās meant to reflect the soullessness of how youāre treating the world and these characters to push the game to its limits to change fate, ala flowey and the no mercy route of UT, the two things that motif is tied to. But onion-sanās specificityā¦ I dunno man ā¦
