Louis was completely obsessed with you the moment he laid eyes on you.
Having enough of the back and forth with lestat, he needed stability for once in his damn life. Having someone finally similar enough to him where everything wasn't a damn fight.
For so long he fought with himself about how he ended up just in the situations he did. With his race in the place he was, the way people treated him because of him, having to kill because he was a vampire despite still feeling the remorse at times. All of it was so much to bare. All while still fathering Claudia.
Then that's where you came in.
You knew Lestat, more knew of him. Few brief encounters over the centuries of your vampiric life which is why you never knew of his relationship with Louis. Taking farther into the country to live because the way that others acted you didn't want your life flipped upside down from their recklessness. It was pure coincidence that you two stumbled upon each other.
His usually clean suit destroyed from idiots trying to "kill him" after finding him feeding on one of their friends. That only led to all of them dying, their own faults anyways. The problem was he had Claudia with him and now they needed shelter for the night. They were too far from their own home, supposed to be at some party that was a total bust. That was how they ended up at the front step of your home.
It seemed so abandoned and lifeless at first look but upon closer inspection he could pick up a light heartbeat coming from somewhere near them. Your footsteps weren't even picked up until you came from the side of your home, your voice making the two jump.
"Can I help you?"
You looked...like he did at the moment. Your clothes caked in blood, fangs sticking out ever so slightly just a bit longer than his own.
"We weren't aware this place had someone who resided here. I'm just trying to get my daughter away from this group chasing us."
Your eyes fell on Claudia who stood by her father. Looking seemingly unphased by your appearance. As much as you loved your alone time you knew how stupid and rather annoying the humans could be.
"Come. I have extra rooms." Stepping into the house they took position into following behind, him tightly holding Claudia's hand. The inside of your manor was so different from the dark outside exterior. Your home smelled of vanilla, just the slightest hint of blood from your clothes, and fire from all the candles that lit up the place.
"Make yourself at home. I reside here alone and no one knows of this place so you have not to worry."
As you stepped upstairs to change into new clothes for the night Louis led Claudia to the couch, stripping off his own town jacket and shirt. It was a mere few minutes before she went from talking his head off to being asleep in his arms. His eyes wandered back to the upstairs as he heard you door clothes signaling you were about to come back downstairs.
If he was going to spend the night of yours he might as well get to know you right?

Surprise!! New character I am writing for because I love a black man🙏🏽
2. 'I didn't account for the rotation of the planet and how that affects the constalations while my characters stargazed at different times of year, I have failed as a writer, and this entire thing is trash'
The idea that rural communities wouldn't benefit from public transit of some form is so fucking stupid. There was a guy in my hometown who would hitch hike 15 miles to the grocery store because he was blind that everyone knew and knew to offer rides to if they saw him. You know what else would have fixed this, been more efficient, and helped other disabled people, seniors, and people whose cars got repoed?
you'll say something as simple as "no child deserves to be hit" and people will crawl out of the woodwork to explain why they should be allowed to beat a 6 year old for spilling some water
you'll say "i think it's weird that adults literally have control over when children are allowed to use the bathroom" and up pops a teacher to say that when they're not shouting at the kids they teach, they're trying to stop them from hiding in the bathrooms
you'll say "i think children shouldn't be forced to eat food they hate" and here comes someone who feeds their kids plain rice and boiled chicken (while eating a nicely seasoned stirfry) claiming that it's okay actually and kids shouldn't be allowed to taste things
you'll say "i think kids should have bodily autonomy" and in comes someone who pierced their babies ears before it was even 24 hours old, frothing at the mouth because their kid wanted a haircut and thats somehow an insult
children are an oppressed class and everyone should be looking back at their own childhoods and making sure they don't ever make a child feel the same way they felt.
when i first heard about the male loneliness epidemic i was like oh yeah close camaraderie and bonding between men is often discouraged in favor of competition or, if not discouraged, at least filtered through a lens of individualism that precludes deep connections. and then i learned what people meant by it (men arent getting laid) to which i say skill issue
This is what I mean when I say myth literalism is bad. While the gods are individuals, they are also concepts- forces that make up a greater whole. Hades is not just a king, he is cold, is is death, in the most literal of senses. His actions are not the actions of a man, they are the planet turning & the world around us breathing.
And to clarify (since ya'll need that, apparently), that includes people who are transphobic, homophobic, pro-eugenics (i.e. social darwinism anti-vaxxer people), anti-immigrant, racist, etc.
Ya'll don't belong here, paganism is not a safe place for you, and I don't want you interacting with my blog.
