I HIGHLY recommend all of you to read this post and read some of the comments. It talks a lot about consent in this era (or lack of it) and the SA implications. In addition there is a conversation about adoption and foster care system conversation. I honestly thought of the same things esp compared to chibnall's era where 13 not only asked for consent (unless it's life or death situation or something REALLY urgent) but also had a really good conversation regarding parenthood and foster care system (given that it's chibnall's personal experience). And to make the doctor after 13 of all people have these conversations in his era is sickening.
and don't forget that she wanted to bring her fam back as well as asked all of them if they truly wanted to stay after their interest in it:
DOCTOR: Right, quick update. I made a terrible mistake. We shouldn't be here. I'm going to fix it and get you guys home, I promise. Soon as I figure out where we are.
DOCTOR: I'm sorry. I've failed you. I promised you and I let you down.
DOCTOR: I can't guarantee that you're going to be safe.
YASMIN: We know.
DOCTOR: Do you? Really? Cos when I pull that lever, I'm never quite sure what's going to happen.
RYAN: That's okay.
DOCTOR: You're not going to come back as the same people that left here.
GRAHAM: But that's all right. I think that's good.
DOCTOR: Be sure. All of you, be sure.
YASMIN: Sure.
GRAHAM: Sure.
RYAN: Deffo.

It's kind of telling watching folks try to analyse the police misconduct in the United Healthcare case to support this or that conclusion because, like, you know they do that anyway, right? Cops routinely fabricate evidence even when they genuinely believe they've got the right guy because it's easier than doing their jobs.
Ultimately, the cops blatantly faking evidence tells us nothing one way or the other because it's literally standard operating procedure.
@qwertystop replied:
Is there news on the case I haven't seen?
Unless there's been an even more recent development I have't gotten up to speed on, way back in December of 2024, the NYPD chief of detectives gave a press briefing in which he cited an interview with Luigi Mangione's mother, quoting her as saying that the shooting "might be something that [she] could see him doing"; the reported statement was subsequently widely circuated by news networks. A couple of days ago at the time of this posting, the relevant interview transcripts were finally turned over to Mangione's defence team, and it turns out that not only can that statement not be located in the transcripts, but the alleged source is now claiming he never directly spoke to Mangione's mother at all.
The thing that's remarkable about this case is not the existence of the police misconduct-- it's the sheer incompetence involved in it, especially given how high-profile the case is.
I cannot emphasise strongly enough that this level of incompetence is in no way exceptional.
semantics are the ultimate vessel to objective truth . keep splitting hairs and youll reach the atom !

Sometimes I think about Harrow’s AUs and like. There is a LOT more to worry about but I have to wonder what Abigail and Magnus Got from that.
Because, if I remember right, they only had the one real conversation with her, right? But while the fandom LOVES making Abigail and Magnus Gideon’s parents in AUs and stuff, the same can’t be said for Harrow.
But like. They’ve now seen deeper into her mind more than anyone else. They’ve seen the Ninth, they’ve seen how she views the actions of her parents in the lenses of how she’d be treated if she didn’t have necromancy, they’ve seen her deepest desires when her dreams how much she wanted her duties to the Ninth to somehow match having Gideon and they saw that she was at her core just a teenage girl who wanted a meet cute with the hot girl she had a crush on.
Anyway: more Abigail and Magnus becoming Harrow’s parents. Gideon can still have them as in-laws.
This.
I had assumed you had picked this battlefield deliberately, and raised an army to fight alongside you. I didn't quite know why you'd chosen us. Now I know, but it seems you did not. (HTN ch 43)
What a rug pulling out moment this must have been: the realisation that she had not been summoned as some act of Lyctoral mystery to assist in Harrow's battle against a ghostly invader, but that she was there because a frightened teenage girl - who had met her once at a dinner party - had instinctively reached out for her help.
I understand you didn't ask on purpose, but I like to think that there was a grain in your soul that saw yourself in need, and perhaps thought to itself, I wish I had Abigail Pent. It takes a great deal of ego to be a psychopomp. Thank you for letting me by yours." (HTN ch. 47)
I think Abigail is meant to call to mind the classical psychopomp Hecate, associated with ghosts, keys, pomegranates, and the liminal transitions of girls (whether into death or adulthood). Harrow at this moment is literally dying, but her AU dreams are also all explorations of what a transition into some kind of adulthood that didn't involve ascending to Lyctorhood and losing Gideon might have looked like. But staying in those dreams means death.
Also...there's a tendency to assume that Harrow reached for the Fifth because Magnus was kind to Gideon, but a through-line of HTN is very much Harrow processing her feelings about Priamhark and Pelleamena in relation to the respective parental figures of John and Abigail. After all, like Pelleamena, Abigail is a brilliant necromancer with a complicated relationship with both motherhood and the demands of leadership, and a willingness to use other peoples' children to her own ends. But unlike Pelleamena, Abigail demands that Harrow live, rather than asking her to die.
I have yet to meet a person that's on the same page as me when it comes to losing baby teeth. I think losing baby teeth was really cool and it's a shame we stop doing it as we grow up. When I tell people this they look at me odd. But I do stand by it. Sensorially speaking, moving your loose tooth back and forth and feeling it poking your gumbs weirdly was extremely satisfying. Tooth barely moving? Satisfying to move around. Tooth almost entirely detached? Cool as hell to explore with your tongue. I was all over that as a kid.
Well… the end of an era..
Also the full version if you want it hehe

Back when Celebrity Booze aired, there was a lot of debate and back-and-forth regarding the meta of the episode. The abusive and controlling relationship between Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston is on par for Sunny, but the parallel could really any of the relationships.
I never weighed in on any side, because I honestly wasn't really sure. I think there was a case to be made with the direct Mac & Dennis parallels, but the themes were very obviously more father-son coded.
Well, now that we have the script, it's pretty straight-forward:
These cut lines + the plot twist being that they're happy like this and Aaron calling the shots is a good arrangement for Bryan, I think it's pretty safe to say it is intended to be Charlie Frank meta
What's fucking crazy to me is that I've never been able to move past the idea that we haven't hit the end of Frank potentially being Charlie's dad, and I have this random late night ramble in my notes app from a year ago...
And this fucking script, this RCG-written script, confirms they're thinking about it too.. it's actually much closer to not being a mistake...if Charlie Kelly isn't fully convinced that was his dad either.
SOMERSET - A local family is catching heat after throwing a birthday bash for their daughter last weekend featuring a piñata shaped like a police officer. The party, held at a public park, was going smoothly until the kids lined up to take swings at “Officer Snickers,” a papier-mâché patrolman stuffed with candy and what appeared to be citations for bad attitudes. “We just thought it was funny,” said the girl’s father, Randy Gillis, a lifelong Democrat. “She wanted a piñata and said ‘make it someone with authority.’ I blame Paw Patrol.”
I see nothing wrong with this.
YOU CAN'T JUST CUT OFF THE LAST LINE.
"...The family insists it was all in fun, and that next year's party will feature a less controversial theme- like an ICE officer."
