I love that the modern-day tumblr post equivalent of chain emails only requires me to reblog a relatively pleasant image instead of forward an email to a bunch of my friends and family members to quell my raging anxiety.
It’s a win win. I get a bit of hope, you get a cute birb photo

ive always been willing to die on the hill of cis women being able to beat cis men in sports so nobody will ever ever make me concerned about trans women in womens sports even if i was delusional enough to believe that was a comparable situation. do i think a cis woman could beat a trans woman in fucking pickleball or whatever? Buddy I think a cis woman could beat a cis male bodybuilder in sports. You will not get me
this feels too important (and correct!!) to leave in the notes
What is happening now, 90 nautical miles from our shore, is an illegal kidnapping of all those on board the ships that set out to break the siege on us. The Zionist forces are illegally kidnapping activists who are trying to break the siege on Gaza. This is the second time this has happened. Damn the Israelis.
With this mission failing again, please save my friend Nader. The fleet will not be able to deliver aid to Gaza. Please continue to support Nader and his family and donate to them so they can provide food.
The situation here is very dangerous now, many warplanes are hovering over our heads and bombing the east of Deir al-Balah city. The situation is very scary. We live in a tent. Any shrapnel or stray bullet could kill us. There is nothing to throw at me. These are tents, large bricks and bullets. Please donate to save us, please.

hey, can we all stop talking about Charlie Kirk and start talking about Trey Reed?
Police at Delta State University said no evidence of foul play was found in the death of Demartravion “Trey” Reed, but an investigation is o
Trey Reed was found yesterday hanging from a tree in Mississippi. The police are saying there was "no foul play", but anyone with half a brain knows what this really is. This was a young black man who was lynched this week in America. A thousand articles on Charlie Kirk, and yet I have heard nothing but radio silence about Trey Reed. I only learned about it when a video popped up on my social media. Think about the implications of this: this is a modern day lynching, a hate crime, and a conservative white man is getting all of the press while Reed gets nothing. Liberals and conservatives alike are mourning Kirk, but where are the people speaking out against Reed's murder?
If anyone still thinks we don't still have a massive racism problem is this country, it's time to wake up. The sad thing is, I think most people know that, it's just that so many people do not care.
I know I don't have much reach here, but I haven't seen a single thing about this man, and this atrocity cannot just be forgotten, lost under the articles of Charlie Kirk and whatever Trump is doing.
Justice for Trey Reed. I don't know what else to say. Speak out about this, don't let him be forgotten.
Not to make it worse but another man was also found on Monday

If this message reaches you while we are still alive, please make sure to deliver it to the free people of the world.
I, Engineer Mohamed, announce that I am no longer able to feed my four children—Layan, Sarah, Adam, and Amir—or provide food for my wife, Enas. After 680 days of war, I have nothing left.
I inform you that the situation here in Gaza is catastrophic. I stand in front of my children, facing an occupying army supported by the world’s strongest countries. Perhaps the evil and governments in your countries supplied them with weapons, and my home and company & my life were destroyed because of this support.
Could a father stand alone for 680 days? Our lives have been destroyed, and we have reached the point where all we ask for is your help to buy a loaf of bread for our children—to share it, rather than die of hunger, in the midst of a famine fueled by wicked governments.
My youngest son, Amir, was born during the war. For more than two months, we stopped buying formula for him, and he almost went without even a piece of bread—if it weren’t for the donations of some of you, the honorable and generous, he would not have survived.
We also stopped buying diapers, but we try not to stop providing even a small piece of bread. During these days of famine, all four children cried constantly, wanting to eat. We had only a little food, insufficient to satisfy them, and we gave them a lot of water, which could not replace real food.
It was not easy for me to ask for help, because before the war we lived a normal life and did not need anyone. But the wicked came together to annihilate us and treated us in an inhumane way. We have lived a life worse than hell.
Today, I address this message to the free people of the world—the good, honorable, and generous—so that you stand with us as supporters, just as the wicked stood with the occupying army.
As long as justice triumphs over injustice, your support can help us survive. And if we do not survive, it will not be your fault, because when we cried out for help, you answered.
I have great hope that the free people will share this message like a swarm of bees, spreading it everywhere so that kind-hearted people see it and help us—four children, a father, and a mother asking for direct support through donations -> GFM link , sharing our blog, and praying for our survival.
I also want to tell you something important: the Israeli occupation, under pressure from the free people of the world and your marches demanding an end to famine and mass killing, has recently allowed some goods to enter through traders to ease the famine and reduce criticism. The world sent them a message that we can no longer remain silent in the face of massacres, starvation, and the mass killing of Gaza’s children and women. When your voices grew louder, they feared you. That is why they allow a limited daily entry of some goods to ease the famine. At the same time, the Israeli cabinet yesterday unanimously approved a decision to occupy the Gaza Strip.
Therefore, we only have a few days to buy some food and essential supplies. If the decision is implemented, food will be blocked again. Until then, we try to store a small amount of supplies. With insufficient funds, we buy only enough for one day and then wait for the next day if more resources are available. We wish we could buy and store even a little, to eat if aid is cut off again. This will happen soon, and we do not have much time.
two million people starving to death because it's geopolitically convenient and we're all expected to go about our day normally like the casual cruelty on display for the past two years has been so insane to me like i'm not even trying to make a point it's just truly something i can't wrap my mind around
Since this post is getting attention, here’s how you can help with every ongoing genocides and conflict 🇸🇩🇨🇩🇾🇪🇵🇸

I know I’m never on, but I encourage all of you to watch and share this video as much as possible. This is an Australian reporter covering the LA protests. You can see, on camera, the cop turn and purposely aim at her before firing. This narrative that it’s all the protestors is a clear lie.
Also I can't emphasize enough what a big fuckup this was for perception in Australia. This was a reporter for their equivalent of Fox News, and she was live when it happened. So they're trying to say she was caught in the crossfire now but even the Australian conservatives aren't buying it.
i think the near-extinction of people making fun, deep and/or unique interactive text-based browser games, projects and stories is catastrophic to the internet. i'm talking pre-itch.io era, nothing against it.
there are a lot of fun ones listed here and here but for the most part, they were made years ago and are now a dying breed. i get why. there's no money in it. factoring in the cost of web hosting and servers, it probably costs money. it's just sad that it's a dying art form.
anyway, here's some of my favorite browser-based interactive projects and games, if you're into that kind of thing. 90% of them are on the lists that i linked above.

if you're ever thinking about making a niche project that only a select number of individuals will be nerdy enough to enjoy, keep in mind i've been playing some of these games off and on for 20~ years (Alter Ego, for example). quite literally a lifetime of replayability.
since this post blew up, i've been wanting to do an addition with all of the recommendations from the comments and tags. but there's a lot of them. some people might be crazy enough to sit down and seriously put them all in one post with descriptions. those people are honestly sick in the head.
anyway, here's all of the recommendations from the reblogs. not all of them are text-based, but it's a great mixture of styles. also don't forget the links in the second paragraph of the OP which will take you to FMHY where there are a bunch more games listed.

you guys know you can get USB connectable CD, dvd, and blu-ray players right. and you can buy external hard drives with crazy amounts of space for an amount of money that would make the average person from 2009’s head explode bc of how cheap it is. and if you do this and get ripping software such as handbrake for CDs and DVDs and makeMKV for blurays you can both own a physical copy of whatever media you want and make it accessible to yourself no matter where you are. do you guys know this
lots of people are reblogging this and tagging it #piracy—i should clarify, this is not piracy! ripping DVDs and CDs to have your own copy is fully legal, because it’s your legal right to do what you will with your property individually. it only becomes illegal if you then distribute that file on the internet.
