Hello! You may call me Sir Guillaume. This blog is intended to be a simple safe space for myself and fellow knightkins, and of course nobility and others of the royal court. Queens, kings, jesters, princesses and princes alike are all welcome!

Before submitting asks, I would appreciate reading my simple rules and suggestions here.

Ah, yes, I see you’ve taken notice of the fine knight I keep dangling in a big gilded cage above my evil throne. Quite the pretty little ornament the would be savior makes, wouldn’t you agree~?

What? No, it IS a big cage. That’s- it’s the standard size for a knight’s cage I’m pretty sure. NO I’m not going to invest in 500 square feet of dungeon, it’s ONE knight! I’m pretty sure knights live in hovels in the wild anyways which is basically the same- Look, the cage is quite literally gilded. He loves the cage! He loves obediently preening in the cage! Yeah well, when you capture your own knight you can keep it in whatever size castle you want to, but this one’s mine. Especially since you’re so obviously jealous of me and my cute and awesome knight anyway.

Frankly very jealous (though not actually upset) that some kins experience feeling things when I cannot even experience dreams for my kins, and knights are not something that I imagine I would feel anything. Perhaps I am wrong.

I am well aware the lack of romance a helmeted kiss possesses, if two knights were to attempt it. But one knight having their face bare makes it so soft, like kissing a mirror. It is one sided but the affection is still there regardless.

This is presented to nobody who has ever interacted with me, but rather the lowlife cowards who hide behind anonymity while spouting putrid nonsense to tear others down for simply existing. You should truly be ashamed of yourself if that is you, you are insufferable. You belong in the stocks to be laughed at for the spineless snakes you are.

I apologize as this is not my usual post for this blog, but I am still rather saddened by this topic and am not sure what to do with it. So I have elected to vent my thoughts here, where it will not be seen by hardly anyone, much less the person involved.

I was discussing the possibility of designing a face for a character I very much enjoy on my own time, the Pyro from Team Fortress 2. I was told that giving them burn scars would be… ableist. And I still cannot comprehend it. A character associated with fire and lighting others ablaze would be ableist to have similar past injuries? I was told by this same person that it was because scars are nothing to be ashamed of. To which I agree. But I also do not understand how the perception of scars on a character that would realistically have said scars, is discrimination or mockery of a disabled individual.

I doubt this will be seen by anyone, but if anyone would like to enlighten me in my ignorance or defend my position and justify my confusion, I would be most grateful. As I am still perplexed and a little hurt, though I know it was not a personal attack upon my character as a creator. It felt as though I was being accused of being ableist for wanting scars on a fan created design for my own enjoyment.

I apologize for the long winded rant, I simply wanted to place my feelings somewhere safe. I will attempt to create more works of my usual sort in the future, though I have not been feeling the most inspired in the ways of knights as of late.

I apologize for not posting a lot! I have been on a mental health break from most social media apps for a month. However, I feel the need to discuss something happening in the Tumblr otherkin community.

A person with the username of @/imactuallyrightforonce has become popular for being an anti-kin. While I'm sure they are a troll, there could also be the chance they are not. Either way, I would suggest you all block them since they seem VERY unwilling to debate the topic in a mature manner. Please do not interact with them because I believe that until they prove otherwise and actually have a civil debate about what they believe and listen to another's beliefs, they are simply looking for attention. Any attention given to their blog or showing any emotion towards them will simply give them the reaction they are seeking.
