Skie's DOOM Au lore and OC craziness
I hope to make my crazy Au as simple to understand as possible. This will be a LONG post.

So my AU intermingles DOOM 3 and the modern DOOM series as well adding a race/species i created based loosely off the remnants of the ancient civilization from Doom 3. STILL A WIP, lots of loose ends and brainstorming left to do.
Let's start from the top, or is it bottom? not sure.
Skie's Parents:
Valyria Valerica:
Valyria was the daughter of the Planthir king. as a technical princess it was expected of her to behave all highly and royal. Valyria thought it was boring and too lavish. she would often watch the Night sentinels when they came over to do trades with her people. she loved their armor, their look. She even watched them fight and she was impressed,(especiallywhen she saw her first Atlan). something in Valyria wanted the freedom they had. she wanted to spread her wings and fly free (literally and figuratively), she began to long to Visit Argent D Nur herself, to the point of dreaming of the world the Night Sentinels called home.
one day during an important meeting, her father, the king, met up with King Novik of the night sentinels, along with his three high priests, Deag Nilox, Deag Grav, and Deag Ranak, but more importantly she met Commander Thira, King Novik's daughter.
Valyria couldn't believe her eyes seeing such a strong, stoic, technical princess like herself as one of the Night Sentinel Commanders. Valyria was shy but she and Thira quickly seemed to create a friendship. Thira later helped to inspire Valyria to be a better leader and role model for her people.
During this meeting Valyria though was beyond bored and stayed by the windows watching the streets of Exultia below along with Thira. She loved how lively it was there. She really liked watching how the sentinel warriors would train. After the meeting she took to the streets of Exultia and was taken aback with all the sights and sounds. she found herself walking in the streets like a kid in a candy store. then BAM. she walked right into the Night Sentinel General: Jovac Roan and fell into a produce cart. He looked at her startled at first but then he gave a smile and a hand to help her up. Valyria, unaware of her soon to be discovered abilities, felt a connection to the Sentinel General.
As years passed and valyria grew more and more in love with the General. in their off time he would in secret teach her the ways of the sentinels and teach her how to fight and use the sword. he could see something in her, something she herself didn't realize. Valyria also learned a lot of Argenta cultural customs, and traditions as well as the teachings of the Maykrs. Though something never sat right about the Maykrs with her..especially the Kreed Maykr. But there was one religion that she secretly learned from Jovac and Thira. Wraith Worship. An ancient Argenta practice Valyria began to respect and find guidance in.
Valyria soon became the official Planthir ambassador for the Argenta and helped keep their alliance in good terms. The Planthir traded goods and manpower with the Argenta so much so that their deer beast forms were used as Calvary and guards for villages.
During these times Valyria and Jovac got together in secret and gave birth to a healthy daughter. Whos name in planthir/ Argenta tongue: Val-kyr-ie, in human: Skie. (This is skies past self)
The Slayer’s Arrival:
With the arrival of the Slayer Valyria couldn't sense a shift in the air. She wasn't afraid of him. In fact she was one of the first people besides Thira to respect him and treat him with respect. Though when he became a weapon for the Maykrs her trust for the Maykrs grew more thin. She could tell this stranger was more than a weapon and she disapproved of the tether, she would swear she could sense his pain, his loss, and his rage.
Later as her daughter grew Valyria had her daughter start Night Sentinel training which meant she had little involvement in her life but she still did what she could for her daughter.
On the Day the Sentinel Command Station was attacked by an unknown cosmic force Valyria, Thira, and the Kreed Maykr were taken into a realm she had never seen..the cosmic realm.
What happened here changed Valyria, something deep within her and Thira awoke. The Kreed betrayed them both and sold them out to Ahzrak and the witch. Valyria fought against them valiantly to defend Thira but was ultimately cast into the cosmic abyss. Leaving Thira to her fate.
Valyria spent time lost in the cosmic realm. Lost, and hurt. But being in this realm awakened something about her deer beast side that neither her or her people were aware of... her soul fire ability (she was able to ignite her soul with holy blue fire akin to wraith energy along with this she could hear the call of the wraith within her being. Maybe it was her friendship with Thira or something deeper. Upon experimenting with her magics she found a way home to Argent D'Nur ( I'll refine this later still brainstorming here lol) Though it is theorized by Argenta historians that the Planthir could also be dependents of the Wraiths, but its just a theory. Though Valyria had a vision in the realm: her people were in danger, and her daughter was the key to protect the original realm they, the Planthir, came from.
Later in the timeline:
With Valyria's newfound power she began to enlighten her people about their hidden potentials and the Khan Maykr saw this immediately as a threat. Valyria was also deeply troubled by the vision. And with tensions between the sentinel people (those loyal to the Maykrs and those loyal to the Slayer and Wraiths) the Khan ordered a culling of Planthir and banishment of their species.
This also came at time when Jovac and his scouts found out about the horrid things at Nekravol and the Maykrs involvement. Thus making tensions worse between the Argenta and Maykrs.
In order to protect her people and her daughter, Valyria and her remaining people fled while Jovac and his sentinels helped protect them from attacks. This broke Valyria's heart as much as it broke Jovacs.
With that Valyria fled back to her homeworld of Mars, (Hebeth but in a different universe), but little did she know that Skies birth was the harbinger of their own destruction, (her affair with Jovac was forbidden by Maykr law) the demons(that were watching and silently waiting) followed..

In a final attempt to find a final place for her people to live Valyria helped her people to make a new set of portals hoping to make their way to Earth. But not all of her people were loyal to her, some still being loyal to the Maykrs sabatoged the portals and opened up a hellgate that allowed the demons to invade. With dwindling numbers and nowhere to left to run Valyria had to make a stand. She transferred her power to her daughter Val-Kay-Rie who used that power to create the Soul Cube. Valyria was unfortunately taken prisoner by the demons in order to give her daughter enough time to complete the soul cube.
little is known after that. planthir legend tells of Val-Ky-Rie who fought hard with the Slayer at her side weilding the soul Cube. but then vanished in a ball of light, some say that Valyria and Val-Ky-Rie both vanished. and some say there's a tale stemming from the demonic factory/city of Nekravol of Valyria leading a slave revolt and sacrificing herself to save the souls of her people from the Nekravol argent process. but one thing's for certain is that her daughter Val-Ky-Rie was reborn to human parents in the DOOM 3 universe many many many years later, leaving Skie a changeling child.

Jovac Roan:
Jovac is originally descended from a clan of mountain Argenta warriors, his father was the old sentinel king Roan, so in a way he was a prince, but he was destined to be a great sentinel just like his father, Jovac's father was stern, and calm. he really encouraged traditional practices, but he would never turn away from a fight. Jovac's mother was a sentinel woman who was into herbal healing and traditional medicine.
Jovac was very feisty as a kid, he was curious and adventurous. he would explore the world around him and would stare at the sentinel warriors in awe. When he was of age he was chosen to begin training. He wasn't the best sentinel, his squadmate gorthrel was the star but he was still none the less strong. He eventually got transferred to work under commander Valen and under his guidance became slightly stronger than his father. Occasionally he would help lead Commander Thira's troops.
during this time in sentinel history the people of Argent D nur were in partnership with a race of beings that could transform into winged deer like beasts - The Planthir and Jovac was skeptical at first, that was until he helped the Planthir ambassador out of a produce cart. As embarrassing as it was, he couldn’t admit that it was endearing. As Jovac began to work closely under Commander Thira and with Valyria he began to secretly teach her how to use the sword as well as Argenta tradition sand customs. Over the years they grew closer in secret and had a secret affair. Only Commander Valen, Thira nd King Novik knew. When Valyria had her child, Val-Ky-Rie Jovac had to pretend he wasn’t her father and had to distance himself at time especially when certain holy officials were around-The Deagic Order. The only priest that knew of his affair was Deag Loric since he himself had a secret affair with a commoner. Jovac Trusted Loric since he was the keeper of old Argenta history and culture.
Jovac used to have a Wintherin by the name of Feritas who was blue/purple color. They fought the Titan at the shores of Khalim but Feritas did not survive the fight. Jovac doesn’t Like to admit it but he still Gets PTSD from the attack at Khalim due to his deep bond with his dragon. He also lost his lower left arm in the attack, he had it later replaced with a prosthetic.
Jovac breaking makyr and Sentinel law took the Planthir Princess Valyria to be his wife. They were great together in battle and became a powerful duo. Jovac would often be seen riding Valyria’s deer beast form into future battles (Valyria would sneak away from her duties to enjoy the thrill of battle). Their partnership worked well and Jovac wouldn’t do anything without Valyria’s input out of respect.
Jovac wasn’t around at the time the command station was under attack as he was helping to protect and rebuild the Sentinel Barracks. But when he got word of what happened he was afraid for Valyria’s life.
Later in the timeline when Souting out areas in hell Jovac found Nekravol and saw the horrors of what was happening there. When he returned to Argent D’Nur he immediately went to the church and King Novik to inform them of his findings. Novik took it seriously whereas the Deag order and the Maykrs denied its existence. Tensions increased and then Jovac got the news that the Maykrs were banishing the Planthir back to their realm and culling any that refused to leave. This tore Jovac up but he helped his wife, daughter, and the rest of the Planthir people escape.
Unfortunately for Jovac he was in deeper trouble he was taken prisoner by the Deag Order in secret and subjected to hellish tortures for his secret affair and especially for breaking the news about Nekravol. They Cursed him to be a Marauder, one of the first. Their goal was to use him against the rebelling Sentinels, but no demonic curse could break his will and his rage against them. At the first chance of escape he took it and Jovac ran to get the Slayer’s aid. This went as well as you imagined, the two needed up in a fight where Jovac lost half of his left horn but when he began to plead with the Slayer the Slayer paused and understood that Jovac was still himself despite the curse. Seeing this only fueled the Slayers rage against the demons, and Maykrs more.
Marauder Jovac:
Jovac was unfortunately scattered along with th either sentinels in Hell after Valen’s Betrayal. Jovac actually found Valen and confronted him. It took a while but Jovac did eventually come to forgive Valen and stayed with him in hell as well as smuggled supplies to him in secret from the remains of Argent D’Nur. Jovac during this time had lost everything except Valen. He stayed loyal to what was left of his people and even unfortunately served Deag Grav in monitoring the remaining populace.
But his curse became a blessing is disguise. Jovac was able to live long enough to see the return of his daughter, though reincarnated he managed to reconnect with her and now helps retrace his daughter old Argenta traditions and Night Sentinel combat.

Clothing: When relaxing, Skie likes to wear just a t-shirt and camo pants. Other times she will wear her UAC security armor with Kevlar padding, camouflage cargo pants, utility belt with ammunition pouches and a slot for her PDA.
Special identifiers: Skie’s face is a torn up mess from surviving the Hell-wave incident of 2145, and 2146. She has a very noticeable scar over her right eye that looks like it hasn’t healed
and can still bleed on some occasions.

Next she has a claw scratch over the bridge of her nose, a claw mark going from her lower left cheek down the side of her neck. Some close friends of her sometimes say they see a literal fire burning inside of Skie’s eyes when they look directly into them.
Personality/ personal backstory:
Despite going through lots of physical, mental, and spiritual trauma Skie generally keeps a positive outlook on life and tries to enjoy life while keeping her abilities a secret. She likes to help out her uncle with his tasks of running the UAC and she will also help out the scientists that work there as well as help teach basic weapons training to security recruits. If Skie is threatened or feels uncomfortable she will get moody and if you try to push her in a corner she will fight back with ferocity, and won't back down even if she’s on the brink of death. If anyone around her is hurt or being threatened she will comfort and fight for them no matter what, ultimately resulting in weakness. She also has the ability to read, write and understand the ancient Planthir carvings and symbols that litter the Site 3 Mars ruins.
Skie also has another side to her, one that we tend to keep classified for reasons fearing for her safety. During the Hell-wave incident of 2145 caused by none other than the UAC's lead researcher Dr. Malcolm Betruger, Skie along with the only other survivor Viktor Wes found out an ancient secret. Skie is a descendent of the once great civilization called the Planthir, a humanoid race of beings that could shapeshift into a wolf/deer beast with great wings. The Planthir can control special magics and can see visions in the form of dreams or a dimensional scream. This ability has saved her life on multiple occasions. Unknown to her she is actually a reincarnation of her past self. In an attempt to save her child from the will of the Khan Makyr Skies true Planthir mother (Valyria) used a powerful Planthir spell to protect her child from being killed forever by the khan Makyr. Skie though is not a true Planthir. Her mother was married to a great Night sentinel warrior (Jovac). Skies Planthir mother was the daughter of The Planthir King, the Planthir Royal blood carries even more powerful magic than any planthir. And this bloodline gives skie great abilities but only for a short period of time. (think of it as the avatar state) after that moment of using the abilities she will collapse exhausted and pass out.
The Planthir thrived on Mars many eons ago, but along with this Skie has the ability to transmute, a bonus of being mostly Planthir. From what she and her friend have told, and shown us, Skie in this..form is like some..fluffy creature that appears to be a mix between a deer, wolf, and eagle thing. Not much is known about the form in general besides that Skie has shown to be an excellent flyer and great in combat based on accounts from Viktor.
Also noted that when in this form Skie is still able to speak fluent english, fight on two legs, ignite her wings on fire, has a very keen sense of smell, and hearing. Her personality overall is still the same in this form but her sense of protection is strengthened to a higher level to the point where she may get aggressive, or a slight temper.
Strengths:
-Skie was taught from an early age on how to use a gun and she developed skills as a good shooter.
-Through her experiences she has learned to be quick on her feet and to be agile during combat.
-She seems tough and cold on the outside but she will drop everything in order to help someone.
-she will not back down when challenged.
Weaknesses:
-She can be too headstrong and it can get her into big trouble at times, hence the scar over her eye (she got it in a fist fight with Dr. Betruger).
-Sometimes she suffers short-term memory loss and can’t recall specific events (this sometimes happens when placed in tense or stressful situations).
-she has a fear of demon spiders, and drowning.
-she suffers from PTSD from the “incidents of 2145 and 2146”.
Additional Background:
Skie now serves as a Mercenary for a demon Called Igradek and proudly serves his goal of eliminating demons who take pleasure in killing and destroying life. As part of her beginning life anew after being shunned by humanity. The UAC tried to cover up the incidents and erase any knowledge of the demonic invasions of 2145 and 2146. But most of those who lost family during it pointed their fingers at the very one who saved them from a literal hell on earth!. So feeling guilty, alone, and betrayed by the people she saved. she powered up the partially dismantled hell portal on mars, the very one Dr. Betruger himself used to cause the invasion. She turned her back on her world to go where she could feel useful. She went into Hell to fight till she couldnt no more.
She soon realized that was a mistake. Ammo ran low, food and water reserves almost gone. She soon heard voices from her hideout, two demons speaking ENGLISH! Curiosity killed the cat and she snuck close. Only to be ambushed by a rogue baron of hell, who only saw her as another slave for his clan! Skie fought hard but ran out of ammo, she attempted to fight the demon as a planthir but was mortally wounded. Lying on the ground bleeding out, the darkness closing in. the shadowy figure of a large beast loomed over her. The last thing she saw before blacking out was a set of four golden eyes looking at her.
She later awakened with an Archvile doctor healing her and lying on a bed in a great hell keep. She was scared and lost. But then she saw him. Igradek (a lesser demon lord, son of the lord of wrath). And from here the two began to bond as friends and Skie took on her new life serving him as a demon killing mercenary. That is until she get herself into trouble by the new UAC (doom 2016) by disrupting one of Olivia’s Cult meetings, Ski was sent to attemp to asassinate her. This failed attempt and Skie exposing herself as the Last Planthir caught the attention of the true cult leader Deag Ranak. Skie was captured and to her surprise Deag Ranak showed her hospitality and tried to convince her that joining him would help keep her safe from the eyes of others (Being The Khan Maykr and Deag Grav) (also in my AU Ranak is evil, but he has respect for science and Skie since she’s technically the last of her species, but he does make her stress test his prototype Doom Hunters before the Slayer’s arrival.)
Skie does meet the Slayer and is rescued from Deag Ranak and brought to the Fortress of Doom. The slayer doesn’t not have feelings for her but the two get along well since both share similar experiences involving the demons. The Slayer though is the one that reaches out to Jovac and informs him of his daughter and helps the two reunite.
