JEON YEO BIN as HONG CHA YOUNG in VINCENZO (2021)

Just two cute souls having fun
song joong ki, head of the rising star jeon yeo been fan club
“Villains don’t break-up, we’re quite tenacious. Whether in our work, or in love.”
this conclusion still made sense for chayenzo. both cha young and vincenzo like what they do, and they're good at it. asking vincenzo to leave the life he's just built isn't something cha young would ask, and asking cha young to leave behind everything for him isn't in character for him either. vincenzo explicitly saying something romantic and initiating a kiss means he finally accepts that he is unequivocally in love with her, regardless of time or distance. and cha young kissing him back means that no matter how far he goes, she's also in love with him.
the emotional maturity in this relationship blows me away. they never tried to sway the others decision or make each feel sorrow. they know they're strong enough to handle this for some time.
vincenzo saying he has a room out for her, that he's thought of her this whole time and the 'villains never break up, they're tenacious even in love' line just absolutely proves that to vincenzo they're already together regardless of that second kiss. to him they share a soul, and that's all that matters. and I think hearing that confession and confirmation was the final thing cha young has wanted to hear even if she knew this already.
it doesn't mean that it wouldn't hurt. it would. but eventually they will find their way back to each other. even considering the circumstances he came back in an year, which seems like a long time, but it honestly isn't. one day they will find their way to each other and won't have to say goodbye ever again.
Villains never break up because they’re tenacious even when they love.
vincenzo pulling cha young by the arm to kiss her when she’s least expecting it in ep.20 parallels cha young pulling vincenzo by the suit to kiss him when he’s least expecting it in ep.14 and that’s on vincenzo parallels supremacy
These two will be the death of me. Why..why just why
Forever one of the most domestic gestures I've seen two actors do, like, handing your belongings (WITHOUT ASKING the person to hold it for you first, I might add) for other people to hold feels weirdly intimate, it's the kind of things I would do to my boyfriend, tbh.
Chayoung in the office looking so unbothered about Vincenzo blatantly staring at her getting ready is payback for that time he reached over to her with Adrenaline playing in the background just to open the car door.
while im still salty that vincenzo isnt in korea with chayoung and his geumga family, i do have to admit that i love the calmness of their relationship. he came back exactly the way i thought he would – showing up out of the blue, quiet and just happy to be near her again. it was obvious she was shocked to see him but she didn't fling herself at him, she just simply asks him how he's been and smiles, more relieved he's okay than anything. what they have is very quiet, and very enduring. their reunion was a moment of coming home to each other, and it'll take some time for me to be okay with the fact that it's so short-lived :(
chayoung and vincenzo have literally set the kdrama couple bar for me...the fun and the friendship, the devotion and care, the banter and coffee chats, plotting and working together....they are ride or die partners, through and through.
01.03. You’re trying to make this sound romantic when we both know it isn’t. 01.19. I’m so happy that you are back in one piece.
something i definitely loved about the finale is how vincenzo and cha young were shown to handle their separation. not only the struggle of saying goodbye, but the effort to remain in touch, to cherish the thought of the other, and to make every day count even in their absence. there’s missing your best friend and your lover - vincenzo’s postcards from malta, cha young’s grapevine - and there’s living your best life as if they were right there with you - vincenzo taking over the italian cassano family and buying an island, cha young leading the geumga cassano family and winning ms oh’s retrial. they miss each other every day, but they don’t let it diminish their pursuit of goals and happiness, and i think that’s really important for a healthy long-distance relationship between two people who are still independent and incredibly strong on their own.
